00:00:00your holy spirit as we look at the subject tonight in jesus name amen

00:00:05so last week a few of us went to a meeting at the jw3 center which is a

00:00:16jewish center in north london at which melanie phillips was speaking if you don't know who

00:00:22melanie phillips is she's a very well-known jewish journalist writer and she was speaking on the

00:00:29subject of her book called the builder's stone how jews and christians built the west and how only

00:00:36they can save it somewhat provocative title and if you know melanie she's a very persuasive and

00:00:44very well learned person and a very good speaker so i did ask if she wants to come along and speak

00:00:52here sometime i don't know whether she will but we'll see if i can get this thing

00:00:57okay so i i bought a copy of her book and i started reading it um only got to the end of

00:01:07chapter one at the moment but um really quite a lot in it and as i see it the basic thesis of what

00:01:14she's saying is that west the western world is basically declining and in danger of collapsing

00:01:21it's divided between those who want the western civilization to continue and those who don't

00:01:28she says western civilization which is talking mainly about europe and north america based on

00:01:34core traditions and beliefs founded on principles largely derived from jewish and christian

00:01:39contribution talks about biblical values support for the family freedom of conscience moral principles

00:01:46based on the ten commandments and she speaks about those who want to replace the core traditions and

00:01:52the principles of western society with what she described as a brave new world of

00:01:56deracinated or rootless individuals dedicated to breaking the bonds of attachment between

00:02:02successive generations of a nature's inherited culture she says that britain and america and europe

00:02:08are being convulsed by an attempt to destroy core values of national identity cultural self-belief

00:02:13entailing a progressive collapse of social order and rationality into anarchy stupefying imbecility

00:02:21and moral squalor and she said at root this is a spiritual problem crisis over meaning and purpose

00:02:28spiritual vacuum that resulted in the denigration of the nation abandonment of the family destruction of

00:02:35education shaped in a contempt for the past and despair about the future it's replaced emotional health

00:02:42by profound loneliness and she says all these things are connected and she gives us one of the

00:02:48trigger points the response to the terrible events of october the 7th last year

00:02:55and she says western civilization is at a critical inflection point the hamas-led pogrom in

00:03:05israel on october the 7th 2023 resulted in the largest and most barbaric single slaughter of jews

00:03:11since the holocaust and presented the west with a clear choice would it support civilization or barbarism

00:03:17it did not choose civilization by lining up with israel's enemies either through active support or

00:03:23undermining the jewish state's attempt to defend itself against a genocidal enemy the west political

00:03:29and cultural classes put wind in the sails of those out to destroy both the west and civilization itself

00:03:35what this starkly illuminated was the western elites have not only lost their consciences

00:03:40but also their minds and she made a comparison between the attempt to destroy israel as a jewish state

00:03:46and the attack on the whole of western civilization she spoke about how the

00:03:53first demonstrations against israel she said massive demonstrations took place week after week on city

00:04:01streets and campuses of the west mobs of muslims the hard left and other supporters of the palestinian

00:04:06cause chanted for the destruction of israel jihadi holy war and the murder of jews everywhere

00:04:11other than a few arrests the police by and large did nothing to stop this incitement

00:04:16they were paralyzed partly by an inability to make a distinction between intimidation

00:04:21and freedom of speech partly by ignorance of what the chanting signified but mostly by fear

00:04:26that the mobs were simply too enormous to deal with

00:04:29and she says the relationship between anti-israel feeling in the broader western cultural decline

00:04:36is a bit like an ocean which sustains a complex and interdependent ecosystem that becomes increasingly

00:04:42visible only if you're prepared to dive beneath the surface though anti-semitism has long been out of

00:04:49control in tandem with the adoption of palestinian palestinism as the course of causes progressive

00:04:55cycles in britain and america have always maintained they don't hate jews only israel and zionism

00:05:00this distinction was ripped apart after october the 7th by the pro-hammas mobs who stopped even

00:05:07bothering to pretend delegates at the national union of students conference in britain voted by a huge

00:05:13majority to in a session that began with cause to dismantle the jewish state as a project of

00:05:18colonialism and to stop recognizing jewish members main representative body the union of jewish

00:05:25students because of its support for israel there was a level of hysterical and obsessional hatred that

00:05:31is applied to no other country or cause in the world however terrible they truly are no one's holding

00:05:37demonstrations calling for the destruction of syria russia or north korea on the grounds of their all too real

00:05:43crimes against humanity what is uniquely terrible about israel the only democracy moreover in the

00:05:49middle east of real tyrants and mass murderers how on earth could the western world the supposed

00:05:55acme of reason and intelligence of modernity progress conscience have descended to this perverse

00:06:00crazy and atavistic level the uprising of hatred was in fact the unacknowledged climax of a sustained

00:06:08onslaught upon western civilization from both within and from without and she describes how the

00:06:15pro-palestinian crowd of islamists joined with the hard left to attack israel as a settler colonialist

00:06:24state and ignored the actual oppression of israeli jews by muslims who were intent upon their destruction

00:06:31which was transformed into the assumed oppression of muslims by israeli jews

00:06:38palestinian attempt at the genocide of jews was labeled resistance while israel's resistance to being

00:06:44annihilated was labeled as genocide and she goes on in this vein makes some very interesting points

00:06:52also connecting it with the critical race theory that holds that white society is intrinsically evil

00:06:59for having oppressed people of color that therefore national identity in the west is itself intrinsically

00:07:05evil so because israelis are deemed to be white settlers colonizing arabs then they're part of the

00:07:13western civilization which is a critically oppressed non-white people ignoring the fact that most

00:07:21israelis from the arab countries look more like arabs than people from the west but never mind

00:07:27goes on to say somebody who wrote that the white race is the biggest murderer rapist pillager and thief

00:07:33of the modern world the crimes committed where it is necessarily cruel can only be described as acts of

00:07:38the devil having decided the west was ineradicably rotten to the core western elites set out to create a new

00:07:45culture that would usher in the brotherhood of man eradicate hatred prejudice and war their brave new

00:07:51world junked biblical religion with all its constraints on behavior and revolved instead around

00:07:56self-gratification everyone has the right to live as they wanted nobody could say their way of life was

00:08:02better or worse than anyone else's no one had the right to say that their culture was better or worse

00:08:06than any other the west no longer had the right to say that there was better than any other culture

00:08:10that was racism the heart of all this was the doctrine that there is no such thing as objective

00:08:16truth everything was relative everything was a matter of opinion because there was no truth feelings

00:08:21became more important than facts so the west abandoned the codes of morality conscience truth and lies

00:08:27truth and lies personal responsibility and duty to others in favor of a culture of the self

00:08:34it also turned against the very idea of the nation state was a nation state it said that had

00:08:39created hatred prejudice and war and so she goes on i don't know if you followed all that but

00:08:46basically she's saying that there is a concerted campaign which revolves around attacking western

00:08:51civilization which also attacks israel on the same basis and is motivated by people who want to

00:08:57destroy and overthrow both and replace them with some brave new world which would be led by either the

00:09:03far left or the islamists on the other side they come together although they don't agree with each

00:09:09other by any means in fact if they ever got to power they'd end up killing each other but that's

00:09:13another story but he says at the root it's a spiritual problem a crisis that is overwhelming western

00:09:20society which has abandoned basically belief in god the bible and so on and she called her book the

00:09:28builder's stone and i was intrigued why should she use this title and opening up i found out it was

00:09:37because it was based on the verse in psalm 118 the stone which the builders rejected has become the head

00:09:45of the corner this was the lord's doing and it is marvelous in our eyes and that verse is actually

00:09:53quoted five times in the new testament i think the most quoted verse in the new testament including in

00:09:591 peter chapter 2 where we see the injunction to come to him as a living stone rejected indeed by men but chosen by

00:10:10god and precious you also as living stones are being built up as a spiritual house a holy priesthood to offer

00:10:16up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to god through jesus christ therefore it is also contained in the scripture

00:10:23behold i lay in zion a chief cornerstone elect and precious he who believes on him will by no means

00:10:29be put to shame therefore to you who believe he is precious but to those who are disobedient the stone

00:10:35which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone and a stone of stumbling and a rock of

00:10:40offense so the stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone

00:10:45and i guess she's saying actually that this applies i think as a jewish person she's not applying it

00:10:53particularly to jesus but she's applying it to the rejection of god uh in our society and i actually

00:11:01approached her and said that the rejected stone can be uh understood on three levels if you like

00:11:06rejection of the god of the bible i.e the god of really the god of the bible not the god of a

00:11:12mishmash of other faiths coming together but the god revealed in scripture if you reject the god

00:11:18of the bible then you'd reject first of all the old testament with the jewish roots of faith

00:11:23covenant which god made with abraham and his descendants to give them vital deeds of the ownership

00:11:30of the promised land and a multitude of descendants as many as the stars in the heaven

00:11:34and the sand on the seashore so we're always projecting that which therefore means that there is

00:11:41no covenant between god israel and the land therefore there's no claim on israel to return to the land

00:11:47and build up the land today and at the same time you're also rejecting moses and the torah particularly

00:11:52the ten commandments hebrew prophets for their call to justice and faith and ultimately jesus himself

00:11:59because jesus is the fulfillment of all those things as the jewish messiah and the third point of

00:12:05course you're rejecting which is what the new testament does it's the rejection of jesus

00:12:08as the messiah which involves rejection of the new testament and it rejects also the jewishness so

00:12:17you have christian anti-semitism coming out which turns the jewish the church against the jewish people

00:12:22and much of the church even rejecting the claims of jesus as the messiah of israel and therefore

00:12:30rejecting him as the savior of the world who came first to save us and is coming again to judge the

00:12:35world in righteousness so you've got a threefold rejection rejection of the bible rejection of

00:12:42israel and the jewish people and rejection of jesus as the messiah if you think about the crisis which

00:12:48she's describing in her book is actually the result of the rejection of god and the bible leading to a

00:12:53growth in a chaotic and destructive behavior in society and in the thinking of people especially in

00:13:00the liberal progressive elite who've got so much power and influence in our society

00:13:04now of course there are many people who just want to get on with their lives and not don't really

00:13:11bother about these things but there is increasing number of people who do live in this rejection and

00:13:18as a result of this rejection you have the conditions coming on the world which are as in the days of

00:13:23noah uh in the days of noah chapter 6 of genesis verse 5 of the verse which says then the lord saw

00:13:34that the wickedness of man was great in the earth that every intent of the thoughts of his heart

00:13:37was only evil continually and the lord was sorry that he made man on the earth he was grieved in his

00:13:43heart so the lord said i will destroy man who i've created from the face of the earth both man and

00:13:48beasts creeping things and birds of the air for i'm sorry that i made them noah found grace in the

00:13:54eyes of the lord and in verse 11 the earth also was corrupt before the lord and the earth was filled

00:14:00with violence so the lord looked upon the earth and indeed it was corrupt for all flesh had corrupted

00:14:06their way on the earth and god said to noah the end of all flesh has come before me for the earth is

00:14:12filled with violence through them and behold i would destroy them with the earth make yourself an ark

00:14:19and of course noah made the ark to save himself and the animals at that time but we see that the

00:14:28reason why that came apart was because of the rejection of god and the rejection of god brought

00:14:32about these conditions on the earth corruption violence wickedness and a situation in which provoked

00:14:39god to action in order to save the world actually by eliminating that generation and jesus said it's

00:14:47going to be as in the days of noah so it would be in the days before his second coming so you're going

00:14:52to see pretty similar things happening and you might see a similar kind of mindset in the world

00:14:57so we go to our next quote from 2 timothy chapter 3

00:15:02which describes how people will be in the last days know this that in the last days perilous times

00:15:10will come men will be lovers of themselves lovers of money boasters proud blasphemers disobedient to

00:15:16parents unthankful unholy unloving unforgiving slanderers without self-control brutal despisers of

00:15:24good traitors headstrong haughty lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of god having a form of godliness

00:15:30but denying its power and from such turn away for this sort are those who creep into households

00:15:36and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins led away by various lusts always learning

00:15:42and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth now as janice and jambres resisted god so do

00:15:48these also resist the truth men of corrupt minds disapproved concerning the faith but they will

00:15:53progress no further for their folly will be manifest to all as theirs was also so a description of a

00:16:01kind of mindset which is going to be taking over people in the last days do you see that kind of

00:16:06mindset taking place do you see that happening even in society not even in the church as they reject

00:16:12the truth of god and exchange the truth of god for the lie and have all kinds of false teachings

00:16:17coming in which are undermining the faith and undermining the truth in jesus christ uh now if

00:16:24you follow this through there's going to be a consequence to this there's a consequence in the

00:16:28days of noah and there's a consequence in our days i believe that the results of this are plain in what's

00:16:35happening in our society that's what melanie phillips is describing she doesn't yet have the full answer

00:16:41because until she comes to faith in jesus she won't know the true answer but she's on the track and

00:16:46she's seen what's happening and she's seeing also that christianity in some way has an answer to this

00:16:52problem which is true and you see that the government and the social workers and the psychologists and the

00:16:59media pundits and the educationalists haven't got a clue they're all thrashing around looking for an

00:17:05answer but avoiding the obvious what's happening in our society is the result of rejecting god it's

00:17:12pretty simple you don't have to be a great theologian or a philosopher to work that out

00:17:18just read the bible and look at what's happening and see that it all ties up

00:17:23article from intercessors for britain lost boys it's called 25 million 2.5 million children in the uk

00:17:33have no father figure at home representing one-fifth of all dependent children almost half of first-born

00:17:41children by the age of 14 do not live with both parents boys are more likely now to own a smartphone

00:17:47than live with their fathers 76 percent of children in custody said they had an absent father with the

00:17:55annual cost of the prisoner being 50 000 father engagement is imperative for cost saving reducing

00:18:00the prison prison population and life-saving measures two parliamentary reports have now been completed

00:18:07on the increasing number of female teachers reporting sexual harassment from male pupils in schools over

00:18:14half of child sex abuse and exploitation is now child on child with boys accounting for nine out of ten

00:18:20perpetrators first six months of 2023 had reports of sex torsion increased by 257 percent from the

00:18:29previous year with boys again making up 91 of those affected sex torsion is a kind of online blackmail

00:18:37it's when criminals threaten to share sexual pictures videos or information about you unless you pay money

00:18:43or do something else you don't want to do this is all in the context of a quarter of young men likely

00:18:49watching porn every or most days and 80 percent of pornographic scenes containing physical violence

00:18:56the website porn hub according to as 90 percent of videos contain some kind of violence towards women

00:19:04over 50 percent of users of children similarly 50 percent of 10 year olds have watched porn according to the

00:19:11nspcc do you see there's a connection between that and the way people behave there has to be

00:19:18and just recently the netflix released a four-part drama called adolescence anybody heard about this one

00:19:25in big in the news and i did actually watch it thought it was pretty appalling but it depicts an

00:19:32investigation why a 13 year old boy murdered his female classmate the series has been watched over 66

00:19:40million times in its first two weeks and the prime minister has said in the commons that he's watched

00:19:45it with his children the government's now proposing that adolescence should be used as a teaching resource

00:19:51in schools so they want to take it into the schools and use this to get children off violence and off

00:19:57watching bad stuff on the medias in the film it tells about a 13 year old boy called jamie who stabs a

00:20:04female schoolmate to death after apparently being radicalized by online by so-called manosphere and

00:20:12incel that's involuntarily celibate culture with the influencer alan drew tate name checked in the

00:20:18script apparently incel means online community of young men who consider themselves unable to attract

00:20:26women sexually typically associated with views that are hostile towards women and men who are sexually

00:20:32active referencing this lad jamie he's described as being involuntarily celibate and he wants to be

00:20:41attracted to women but he doesn't feel that they're attracted to him and so he has a grudge against

00:20:45them point is he's 13 years old so they're telling you that children 13 years old should be sexually

00:20:51active basically another thing which is questionable why this should be presented to children in school

00:20:58in fact if they're watching this and they're 13 years old and they're not involved in any kind of

00:21:02sexual feelings then they might feel that they're inadequate there's something wrong with them

00:21:06also i watched it and it's full of the most foul language almost every other word is the f word

00:21:12and it's being used not just by pupils but also by teachers and by the police so the establishment

00:21:19figures are using all this language as well it shows very bad behavior in the classrooms in the schools

00:21:25and disorder and it gives the idea that the psychology is the you can get to the bottom root of the

00:21:31problem and explain what's going wrong there's a psychiatrist becomes a kind of priest which you

00:21:36confess your problems to and they give you some kind of absolution and some kind of redemption

00:21:42and of course there's no mention of god anywhere no mention of moral values no mention of anything like

00:21:48that or the possibility of repentance and forgiveness for doing wrong and it's part of i see it a basic

00:21:56assault which is coming through the government through the social services and through the education

00:22:00system and i speak as an ex-teacher and i couldn't imagine actually presenting that film in one of my

00:22:06lessons i'd be totally embarrassed and it would um for as i can see create the opposite effect of what

00:22:12they want but we have a problem because we have an ongoing assault on family values taking place in

00:22:19our society the idea of one man one woman looking after their children instilling positive values into

00:22:25them which is basically what we expect from a jewish and a christian background has been rubbished and

00:22:32taken out of our system we have explicit sex education teaching things which i don't even want

00:22:37to mention by name and teaching also the quality of homosexual lifestyle together with heterosexual

00:22:45and now they're even bringing in transgender propaganda to children for young in fact stonewall

00:22:51proposed teaching transgender ideas to children age two in nurseries can you imagine it i think that

00:22:57idea was shelved but i mean by the age of two they don't even hardly know anything but i mean just

00:23:03indoctrinating children with this filth and this rubbish through the system has to be part of the reason

00:23:08why everything is in such a chaotic state we can thank god there was a moment of resistance to this

00:23:16madness uh recently when the supreme court issued a decision on the definition of women

00:23:23the supreme court ruled that transgender women are not legally women in the land work ruling the uk's

00:23:31highest court has ruled that sex must be grounded in biology judgment found that sex inequality laws

00:23:37refers to biological sex and should not be broadened to include trans people with a gender

00:23:42recognition recognition certificate so there was a one moment of sanity there the supreme court has

00:23:49actually meant revealed that men are men and women are women and they're different you have been

00:23:55able to work that out well you should be able to work that out the moment a child is born just by

00:23:59looking between its legs and seeing what it has between its legs it's not difficult but apparently for

00:24:04our advanced society it is difficult and there's been huge reaction to this from the liberal left elite

00:24:12with demonstrations with death threats to those who support the opposition to transgenderism and i

00:24:19found this article in the telegraph a statement by a group of resident doctors that's what used to

00:24:27be called junior doctors from the medical trade union of the bma the british medical association in the

00:24:33statement these doctors condemn the supreme court's ruling as scientifically illiterate biologically

00:24:39nonsensical because according to them it has no basis in science or medicine while being actively harmful to

00:24:45transgender and gender diverse people

00:24:47those are doctors you would think that doctors could actually tell the difference between men and women

00:24:54think would be part of their treatment of their patients know that difference and yet here they're saying that it's

00:25:00scientifically what is it scientifically illiterate and biologically nonsensical i mean what can you say

00:25:08it has to be a spirit of madness and melanie phillips actually says that we have a society which is becoming

00:25:14increasingly insane and that's what we can see happening you don't just junk god and get

00:25:21something else you junk god and you get insanity and lunacy and it's clear that behind this there is

00:25:26the enemy of god the devil who wants to oppose the idea or the concept which is given in the bible that

00:25:34humans are created in the image of god in the image of god he created him male and female he created

00:25:40them genesis chapter one we're created in the image of god male and female that's how god made us

00:25:45but these ideas are being cancelled in our society and so we have this kind of madness which has taken hold

00:25:53us we also have the cancelling of christianity cancelling christian traditions and also cancelling

00:26:01judaism and melanie phillips describes how the western elites are doing just this and it's part of the

00:26:08program to remove what holds society together and replace it with something which is chaotic and

00:26:15destructive so elites are involved in that and the teachers unions are doing that in the jc it described

00:26:22how the teachers union the i think it's the neu now it used to be the nut when i was a teacher

00:26:28but they've supported the palestinian cause and they want teachers to teach the palestinian cause

00:26:34including violence against israel and jewish people uh horrendous the article in the jewish chronicle was

00:26:40quite shocking and it describes how i mean when i was a teacher in the tossill school i went to the

00:26:46nut and it was very left-wing at those days but now seems to have gone into this complete woke anti-god

00:26:55anti-christian anti-jewish mentality and they want to replace easter so norwood primary school in

00:27:04hampshire sent letters to parents saying it was cancelling easter celebrations out of respect for

00:27:09diversity letter sent by the head teacher the school explained that the goal is to create a more

00:27:15inclusive atmosphere that honors and respects the beliefs of all our children and their families

00:27:19she said the school is exploring alternative ways to celebrate the season in future years that will

00:27:25be inclusive all children and reflect the rich cultural diversity of our community if you work

00:27:31out what that's saying it says you have to junk the community the culture of the people who've lived

00:27:38here for hundreds of years which includes celebrating easter and i prefer them to call it resurrection day

00:27:44or something like that but we know what it means they're celebrating the death and resurrection

00:27:50of jesus so that's got to be junked even though it's the culture of hundreds of years of this country

00:27:57in favor of the culture of people who've come recently in the last two generations so they have

00:28:04greater authority greater priority than the people who've lived here forever not forever for a long time

00:28:09i don't believe actually that the people who are of other faiths really are particularly insisting

00:28:16upon this what is really happening is that the humanist elite who are anti-christian are using this

00:28:22as an excuse to come down and to try to get rid of christianity from our society in the sake of so-called

00:28:29multiculturalism

00:28:33well that's one thing but uh goes a bit further

00:28:39voice for justice uk reduced information that during ramadan the nhs staff were encouraged by senior management to join with muslims in fasting

00:28:48during the much publicized islamic holy month in order to demonstrate solidarity with their muslim colleagues

00:28:54posters created by the muslim nhs muslim network were circulated to all nhs staff

00:29:01endorsed by nhs chief strategy officer chris hopson who fulsomely wrote

00:29:06i'm pleased to be taking part in the nhs ramadan challenge to show my allyship

00:29:10to all muslim colleagues in the nhs

00:29:13so you've got to fast for ramadan to keep the muslims happy

00:29:17and you've got to delete anything to do with christianity

00:29:22you've got doctors being censored for praying with

00:29:26patients in in hospitals even losing their jobs on places

00:29:34and it's basically propaganda nhs england announced that we're a diverse country that's

00:29:41reflected in the nhs worst work workforce so we've got to be diverse you've got to approve everything

00:29:49else and you've got to junk christianity muslim christian star christian staff not muslim christian

00:29:56staff have been penalized for sharing their faith offering to pray for parents patients and not using

00:30:03the preferred pronouns for transgenders okay so jennifer meal the other day who refused to call a

00:30:11transgender person

00:30:13missus when he was clearly a mister that he was a six foot tall and uh was they actually had been

00:30:21imprisoned for paedophile activity uh but he he she called him mr she's actually black so he then called

00:30:30her the n-word and he was it off but she was penalized by the nhs and has actually been suspended from

00:30:39her job now unbelievable and you see this discrimination coming against christians she said as a christian i

00:30:47can't call you she because you're not she i can call you by your name but i can't use your preferred pronouns

00:30:53of he his etc and you see people are being pushed into using what is basically a lie in order to appease

00:31:01a tiny minority of people who are basically in many ways mentally disturbed uh and who are imposing

00:31:08their views upon the rest of society at the same time as christianists have been junk they're pushing islam

00:31:15it's a spirit of madness in my opinion and it's

00:31:22what melanie phillips talks about a spirit of imbecility taking over society as it trashes its former values

00:31:29and we find that the liberal church goes along with it and does liberal judaism

00:31:34it's sucked into it and you find that the pope and the church of england leaders give credence to it

00:31:38and so you've got all these things happening and god and the bible are being pushed out and you have

00:31:45everything else coming in and what's happening everything's going wrong with our society

00:31:52you've got a sense of profound injustice in our society which is being increased by the present

00:31:57government got preferential treatment being given to migrants in the area of housing which is causing huge

00:32:04distress especially to young people who can't afford to get on the housing ladder and they find someone

00:32:08who's given property just because they've come here on a boat unbelievable and we have socialist attack

00:32:15on small businesses on farmers on private schools taxes going up many people finding it's hardly worth

00:32:21working and as a result a lot of numbers of young people have actually given up apparently one in four

00:32:27are not in work or education in their twenties are living off benefits many are claiming mental

00:32:34health issues and even those who are in work are not able to afford to buy a house start up and

00:32:39provide for a family and therefore are not reproducing for the continuation of our people

00:32:48so you have problems which are taking place which are undermining and destroying society

00:32:52also the whole net zero problem which is pushing up the price of energy and maybe pushing us towards

00:32:58the lights going out as they did last week in spain pushing up costs for industry making industry having to

00:33:07pack up so you've got car factories steel parts closing down and it's all being exported elsewhere

00:33:14and gradually you have a meltdown of our society if it carries on this way it won't continue you can see that

00:33:22climate change is also one thing being pushed in education which is making young people feel angry

00:33:28and fearful about the future climate change is a big issue and that's some part of the equation which

00:33:34is going on and they want to use climate change to bring us into a new kind of society big question is

00:33:41there global warming i think we have to admit there is something going wrong with the climate

00:33:45the exact cause may be viable may be caused by burning fossil fuels may be caused by some other

00:33:53things there is a huge environmental problem which we have to face up to is really happening

00:33:59spoke the other day about top soil being removed in many countries of the world so that they can't

00:34:04grow crops anymore once that happens then basically that society is going to be finished

00:34:09um a reading about situation in siberia um siberia as you know is a pretty cold place

00:34:17and it has what they call the permafrost and for the last several years buildings have been put on

00:34:24the top of the permafrost and they've been putting roads over the permafrost etc because the climate is

00:34:31getting hotter those permafrost is melting now those buildings are beginning to crack

00:34:35and there's a whole huge infrastructure problem right across siberia which russia's not able to

00:34:40deal with because they're too busy using all their resources to kill people in ukraine and but it's

00:34:48it's a problem which is related to the changing climate now i think there is a change in the climate

00:34:55we don't know what the cause is there may be things to do with burning fossil fuels there may be other

00:35:01things certainly the bible does say that there's going to be this environmental problem in the end

00:35:06of days which will be result in heat rising heat in book of revelation revelation talks about fish

00:35:13dying in the sea about trees burning down about the waters becoming undrinkable all things which are

00:35:19associated with the environmental problem and we do have a responsibility to care for the environment

00:35:25but how do we do it well they've got a great idea now which is to dim the sunlight to fight global warming

00:35:34and the idea is that they will inject aerosols into the atmosphere from aeroplanes brightening clouds

00:35:42to reflect the sunshine being considered as a way to prevent runaway climate change scientists are proposing to

00:35:50modify boeing 777 aircraft to spray sulfur dioxide into the stratosphere in an attempt to cool the earth

00:35:57in the name of climate change and our government is supporting that and i think they're investing some

00:36:03money into this project now can you see there might be a little bit of a problem with that

00:36:09you don't know what's going to happen and once it's up there i guess they can't take it out

00:36:14and it could have devastating effects upon the climate and the future of the human race

00:36:18and you've got all these things happening which are taking place really because we're leaving god out

00:36:25of the picture and it's resulting in a threat to the future of society and when you look at the bible

00:36:32you find that the bible says it's going to happen in the last days it's going to be as in the days of

00:36:36noah the earth is going to be filled with violence going to be as in the days of lot going to be

00:36:43secular morality particularly aggressive homosexuality inflicting itself upon society

00:36:49bible does speak about an environmental crisis coming at the end of days

00:36:53and also a collapse of faith and biblical morality now in response to

00:37:01melanie phillips all people should join together in working against these things

00:37:07i applaud her analysis and her program but in the end the crisis is so severe that only god can save us

00:37:14and in the end it's the person of the returning messiah who's going to be the answer and of course

00:37:22one of the problems which i did actually communicate to melanie phillips in the trying to bring the jews

00:37:26and the christians together to fight this out is actually the identity of the messiah because if you

00:37:31don't believe jesus is the messiah you're not going to leave the biblical christian program if you do

00:37:37believe it then you're going to believe that jews should actually believe in jesus as well which of

00:37:42course the people who want to bring us together don't want to happen so that's one of the issues which

00:37:48we have to work through but i do believe we do have to work with jewish people we do have to stand

00:37:52with them while we're putting on this meeting next thursday we do believe in the right of israel to

00:37:57exist and we should be supporting israel's right to exist and we should be standing with our jewish

00:38:02friends at this time but we also recognize that the only answer to these problems which i've looked at

00:38:07is yeshua jesus the messiah and he's coming back soon to sort it out so we need to be telling people

00:38:14the answer which is in jesus the messiah so next question who's going to save the world

00:38:22could it be donald trump well thinking about bringing the jews and the christians together

00:38:30donald trump participated in the 2025 national day of prayer at the white house he had all kinds of

00:38:37faith leaders of different denominations christians and jews there was a chabad rabbi prayed there as

00:38:44well and they had a time of prayer can you imagine something like that happening in the uk

00:38:53he was joined by the white house senior advisor and faith that's paula

00:38:57well there paula white um a well-known tv personality and also a prosperity teacher

00:39:07and some would say a heretic including me anyway one of the faith teachers and prosperity teachers

00:39:14who took trump actually likes a lot at the end of the ceremony uh president trump signed an

00:39:20executive order to establish a white house religious liberty commission said i'm delighted to welcome

00:39:25you to this very special place to the white house to celebrate the national annual national day of

00:39:31prayer and we're doing it up big we're bringing back religion in our country we bring it back quickly

00:39:36and strongly because for america to be a great nation we must always be one nation under god a phrase

00:39:43that the left the radical left would like to get rid of so that's good he's on our side he wants to bring

00:39:50back god into society and he's attacking some of the woke di diversity agenda he's standing up for christianity

00:40:02and he's wants to strengthen the family apparently and he wants to bring god back into society

00:40:10so that's very good or maybe there's a bit of a problem actually if he alienates people he could alienate

00:40:19people if the program goes wrong which i believe it will do and it will lead to the opposition and suppression of christianity

00:40:27i just published a picture of himself as the pope i'm not sure this was a joke or not

00:40:33but um it's on his official website so he said he'd like to be pope

00:40:37and i was reminded of the verses which i spoke on the other day when we were looking at the

00:40:46book of joshua and when joshua goes to just before he goes the israelites go into the

00:40:54battle of jericho we read how joshua uh sees a man opposite him with his hand hand sword drawn in his

00:41:02hand joshua went to him and said to him are you for us or for our adversaries so he said no but as

00:41:08commander of the army of the lord i have come now come joshua fell on his face and worshipped and said

00:41:14to him what does my lord say to his servant then the commander of the lord's army said to joshua take

00:41:20off your sandal off your foot for the place where you stand is holy and joshua did so he asked the

00:41:27question are you for us or for our enemies and when we think about people like donald trump pope etc

00:41:36we ask are you for us or for our enemies which side you want and the question is

00:41:45answered i think somehow in this question here they ask the commander of the lord of hosts which

00:41:50side you want he says nay as commander of the lord of hosts have i come in other words i'm not on

00:41:54your side or others or the other side i'm the commander of the lord of hosts what you have

00:41:59to do is to take off your shoes before me because i'm holy and it's the lord and he's saying you have

00:42:02to bow before me and you have to do what i tell you if you follow through in the story of joshua what

00:42:56and christianity is he for us or which side is he on is he for the lord that's the question and if

00:43:04his heart is right with god and if he's doing what god wants him to do in the spirit of faith then god

00:43:08is going to be with him and bless him but if he's bringing all kinds of babylonian stuff into the camp

00:43:13as well with it then god's going to depart and he won't bless him and it won't work and it won't

00:43:17happen and i'm afraid that in my opinion although he's against the lgb tender he's against abortion

00:43:26he's against the international treaties like the climate change treaty and the migration pact and

00:43:30the pandemic treaty which i too um opposed to he's for israel he wants to make peace for israel that

00:43:38would be beneficial for israel he makes statements for christianity he wants to root out discrimination

00:43:43against christians and some christians even said that this is leading to the third great awakening

00:43:49which will be a revival of fervent christian faith around the world he's appointed paula white to be

00:43:55the spiritual advisor to the white house this twice divorced televangelist is a controversial figure

00:44:01who preaches the prosperity gospel trump lights her gospel her preaching

00:44:05and paula white has said to say no to president trump would be to say no to god

00:44:12but coming back to the phrase take off your shoes because the ground you're on is holy

00:44:17you have to ask the question is he really for us is there really a desire for righteousness for

00:44:22the values of the kingdom of god what he's doing or is it based on a misunderstanding of

00:44:28the essence of christianity and just curring favor with the

00:44:33right-wing fundamentalist christians who he needs to vote for him

00:44:38and is he bringing in much from babylon i think that he is bringing in much from babylon and

00:44:47that was very relevant very visible actually when he

00:44:51allowed a video to be put up on his gaza program i don't know if you ever saw this one but uh remember

00:44:59that trump said that gaza trump the america should take control of the gaza strip remove the existing

00:45:05inhabitants while they rebuild it as a holiday resort and recreate it as kind of place that people like

00:45:11to go to and they released an ai generated video which played right into the hands of the enemies of israel

00:45:19and america and glorified himself as a kind of savior figure complete with a gaza trump tower

00:45:27and golden images of trump in the middle of the thing here you can see it there that's literally on this video

00:45:36and so he's blatantly bringing in the whole spirit of babylon into his program

00:45:40and in that doing that he's ensuring that he's going to fail

00:45:47he's also tried to cut a deal with russia to make peace but from the beginning he's conceded

00:45:51what russia wants even making before opening negotiations and he's spoken about making

00:45:57friends with mr putin who as far as i'm concerned is one of the most evil men on the planet

00:46:03and he's uh helping russia in their program he's told that russia can keep the territories taken by

00:46:12force ukraine must disarm not be part of nato not receive arms from nato and hand over their mineral

00:46:19resources to the usa which basically means the us can continue to plunder the western part of ukraine

00:46:25while russia plunders the eastern part he's offered russia end of sanctions

00:46:31to help rebuild after the war so whose side is he on who is he helping um promised to end the war in

00:46:39ukraine in 24 hours but now he says if for some reason one of the two parties makes it very difficult

00:46:45we're just going to say you're foolish and we're going to be out of here we're going to take your

00:46:51fools your horrible people we're just going to take a pass in other words we're going to leave it

00:46:55if we leave it he's going to basically hand over ukraine to the russians now russia actually is

00:47:02not doing too well in this force you may need to know this russia's losing men huge numbers of people

00:47:07and resources russia putin may want to make a peace plan because which gives him eastern ukraine

00:47:13some military experts say that he's doing so badly in losing resources that he could even lose the war

00:47:19uh i'm not sure about that but it's possible but trump is actually threatening to abandon ukraine

00:47:26to russian imperialism so is that being helpful to the cause and if he does so now we're going to

00:47:34trust usa again be a green light to dictators and imperialists to take territories wherever they want

00:47:40in effect a instrument of surrender peace peace where there is no peace

00:47:45now we don't want war we want to see peace but if it's a sellout to the evil russian regime

00:47:54and a betrayal of the west it's not a good thing i think he's rowing back on it because he's seeing

00:48:00that the russians are treacherous and he's possibly going to uh change his plan i don't know but if it

00:48:07goes on the way it is it could be seen as an abandonment of the west in favor of dictatorships which

00:48:14would be another push on the downfall of western society and we got his tariffs proposal now i don't

00:48:21want to get too political but you know the big news this has been the tariff program opposing huge

00:48:26tariffs on countries exporting to the us originally 69 to china 39 to the eu now he's rowed back on the

00:48:36that after the economic turmoil to 10 across the board apart from china

00:48:39uh and he's going to renegotiate after 90 days but it's unleashed massive economic uncertainty

00:48:48which is potentially working towards the devastating for the us and the world economy

00:48:54i watched a program by a group called the economic circuit which said america won't survive trump's

00:49:01second term i made some notes on it just read you one or two things which it said there empires don't

00:49:08fall overnight they rot from within slowly and silently until the collapse feels inevitable

00:51:08or the funds to create enough for new factories to replace the ones that have gone aboard countries

00:51:12affected will seek new trading plans leaving out the u.s

00:51:15markets brics nations that's russia and china led by will speed up the process of dumping the dollar as

00:51:21the world's reserve currency

00:51:25tariffs will cripple u.s companies causing layoffs decline in production supply chain problems

00:51:30instead of protecting u.s industries it will cut trigger an economic crisis which is already happening

00:51:35in wall street the worst april figures since 1932 the time of the great depression happened

00:51:43there are warnings that in a few weeks time there'll be cut off from imports which will lead to empty

00:51:49shelves on the shops and the debt spiral is a ticking time bomb i don't know if you can see that but that is a

00:51:57a screenshot i took of the u.s debt clock if you want to amuse yourself type in u.s debt clock and watch the figures going round and round

00:52:11the figure on the top right hand there says that the u.s debt is currently 36.7 trillion actually

00:52:18that was two days ago so it's probably more than that now uh costing one billion dollars a day

00:52:27i watched it just before i came out i just sort of did check on how it was going and in one minute i

00:52:33saw that the debt clock went up three million dollars in one minute that's happening all the time

00:52:39every moment every second of every day

00:52:41uh so this huge amount of money is going up and up and up and the more it costs the more it

00:52:49goes up the more it has to borrow now trump wants to make more trucks cuts he wants to make massive

00:52:55infrastructure projects all of which mean there's no reasonable plan on reducing the deficit

00:53:01he thinks the tariffs are going to do it but the tariffs won't do that at all

00:53:04and i don't know who's advising him economically but it's just nonsense it won't happen uh now the

00:53:12important thing is in the past people trusted the u.s dollar so they're willing to lend to it which is

00:53:16what the whole reserve currency thing was about that's no longer the case china japan saudi arabia

00:53:24all looking at alternatives to the dollar which is seeing its potential collapse when investors

00:53:29stop using the dollars borrowing costs will go up and the government will have no choice but to raise

00:53:33taxes or print more money to cover the gap that's what this i don't know can you follow all this

00:53:39does it make sense if not well just stay with me now trump has actually talked about printing money

00:53:46to finance the debt anyone who understands economics knows that printing money to cover debt destroys

00:53:52confidence in the currency the dollar weakens imported goods become unaffordable inflation spirals out of

00:53:58control the economy collapses people's savings are wiped out as the currency uses value now this

00:54:06website said if washington doesn't change course the u.s is heading for collapse as the system breaks

00:54:10down and we see the death of the dollar its reserve currency will be lost forever if this happened the

00:54:16u.s will face an economic disaster unlike anything in history without global demand for u.s treasurers

00:54:21the u.s government will have to pay higher interest rates just to borrow money the cost of just about

00:54:27everything will skyrocket the stock market and the housing market which all depend on the stable

00:54:32dollar will collapse you'll then reach the point of no return it's not just a financial crisis it's

00:54:37the end of an era america lapses and its economy its empire with it

00:54:45now he's not writing there from a prophetic point of view he's not writing there from christian

00:54:49point of view he's just analysis as an economist and from reading other people other people are

00:54:56saying pretty much the same thing if this is the case what happens to america what happens to america

00:56:11all and i'm afraid i don't think that god is leaving him and i don't think he's going to create the golden

00:56:17age for america if he does fall then all of the christians who've been supporting him are going to be

00:56:22in trouble uh not just the people who are victims of the fall will uh blame trump they'll blame those

00:56:30christians as well who've supported him and it could lead to a contraction of america's christian

00:56:35influence in the country and in the world and also have a devastating effect upon israel which actually

00:56:41relies to a great extent on american support in the world scene so that's some of the possibilities

00:56:49which are coming out of america let's move on to israel now one has to say that america does

00:56:55continue to show its support for israel and we thank god for that and pray that it may continue

00:58:11i think there is something that defies the laws of history because according to the laws of history

00:58:19uh us president trump's moves to recognize israeli's sovereignty over the golden heights

00:58:24the transfer of the embassy to jerusalem and the mediation of the abraham accords as near miraculous

00:58:30events in the jewish people's historic mission he concluded i know that we have in this effort

00:58:36effort the support of our christian friends around the world there's no greater partnership than the

00:58:41state of israel and the believing christians around the world so commendation for believing christians

00:58:48which is justified and one hopes that having said that i america may collapse one hopes that america

00:58:57does not collapse in fact and american continues its support and its help to israel in these days

00:59:02uh america at the present time is engaged in talks uh with iran they began in oman on the 12th of april

00:59:15and their talks over the uh iranian nuclear program and america said that if iran does not give up its

00:59:23nuclear program i was asking iran to give up its nuclear program in which case they'll remove sanctions and

00:59:29open up iran to world trade in a way that they're not at the moment but if they don't if they don't

00:59:35agree with america's demands which include actually handing over their nuclear material

00:59:41and ceasing any attempt to enrich uranium to nuclear

00:59:46possibilities to nuclear bomb possibilities if they do that then america is threatened that they

00:59:51will bomb the nuclear sites and destroy iran's nuclear program these fellas here which you can see

00:59:59are american b-52 bombers which have been moved to the diego garcia air base on the chagos islands

01:00:08ready to hit the nuclear sites in iran with devastating power they also put two large aircraft

01:00:14carriers into the uh region with uh planes capable of destroying uh launching an attack on iran as well

01:00:22and trump actually said that if they don't agree to it within a month which is i think the months

01:00:29already passed and he's going to unleash this uh these uh attacks on them uh he said iran has to get

01:00:36rid of the concept of a nuclear weapon they can't have a nuclear weapon they've got to do it fast because

01:00:41we're fairly close to having one they're not going to have one when asked if the options open to the

01:00:46u.s if the trade deal fails is to strike militarily the president answered of course otherwise he's

01:00:54saying that there are two options now either iran agrees to get rid of its nuclear program or america

01:01:02will attack and destroy it now some are saying that actually iran is capable of stringing the americans

01:01:10along and they're continuing with the program and also that there are pressures on trump from within

01:01:16his administration not to go for the military option in which case iran will get away with it

01:01:24if that happens then iran could move towards having a nuclear weapon

01:01:28and israel so that they will do something if that happens so israel is also preparing to make an attack

01:01:33attack if that is the case um we wait and see on that one if it does happen if if the attack does happen

01:01:43the ayatollahs have been warned that it could have devastating effects upon iran but it could also

01:01:48unleash more uh missile attacks on israel and on u.s bases uh you may have heard there was actually an

01:01:58attack on ben gurin airport today from from yemen uh which hit the outsource of the field uh and the

01:02:06airport's been closed down for the day so israel remains in the firing line and the danger of

01:02:14any escalation now is that there's going to be more attacks upon israel

01:02:18and of course the gaza problem remains israel is actually increasing the uh call-up of reservists

01:02:29at the present time and going into gaza to try to bring the end to hamas and to bring about their

01:02:36surrender and surrender of the hostages

01:02:42we also have the program to set up the palestinian state

01:02:45which is being advanced by macron france and our own uh prime minister has joined in this but

01:02:57according to a news report i've just read the uk is in discussion with france and saudi arabia

01:03:01over the recognition of a palestinian state at a june conference convened by these two countries on

01:03:08keeping alive the political path to a two-state solution in the middle east and the uk foreign secretary

01:03:14has been in negotiations with uh president macron to agree uh merrick britain's support for a

01:03:22palestinian state uh should that be of concern to us it should be because israel has rejected the

01:03:32idea of a palestinian state at the present time because they recognize that it would be used as a

01:03:36springboard to attack them as has happened in gaza and they don't want it to happen

01:03:44and at the present time there is a plan also for the rebuilding of gaza which would involve the

01:03:52palestinian authority taking over responsibility for the gaza strip which would be seen as a first

01:03:58step towards establishing a palestinian state and

01:04:02and those are the borders so the borders from

01:04:11that would be the palestinian state and that would be israel

01:04:17some bits like ariel which are now in the west bank have been transferred

01:04:21and some parts of israel have been transferred to the palestinian state

01:04:26the key question is what's going to happen to jerusalem which of course in the

01:04:29the pre-1967 state was divided between the western part under israel and the eastern part

01:04:35under jordan was unified after the six-day war under israel and israel is said that it's not going to

01:04:40allow any division of jerusalem again jerusalem remains the undivided capital of the state of israel

01:04:46palestinians demand that they should have a capital in jerusalem itself in the east side of jerusalem

01:04:53and of course in the that's the old city of jerusalem where the all the holy sites is situated

01:04:59including the temple mount where a mosque of omar is and some people believe there could be a rebuilt

01:05:07jewish temple so that would have to be in that part so you have all sorts of

01:05:11interesting possibilities out of this concept of a palestinian state the main reason israel doesn't want

01:05:17a palestinian state is because it means that just at the narrowest point there there's nine miles

01:05:22from the border to the sea and all of israel's populated area is in the area

01:05:30under the high bridge there which looks down over the valley the low area of the by the sea

01:05:39and israel fears that the palestinians would use that as a base from which to destroy the rest of

01:05:44israel but that's what's on the program and most of the world including our government now is pushing

01:05:49for a palestinian state that's what they want to see coming out of the whole gaza war and that's

01:05:56what they hope is going to be the future and they hope there'll be a peace plan now some in israel are

01:06:02saying yeah we have to go with it um some are even saying that because israel is regionally strong now

01:06:10it's defeated iran in some ways and we've got the abraham accords they can make a deal with saudi arabia

01:06:17then they can bring together a pact of countries which will be sympathetic which won't try to

01:06:22destroy them and will work towards a economic and social alliance pan-middle eastern clean energy

01:06:30pact they talked about water innovation talent tech talent pipeline which would anchor a new era of

01:06:37interdependence with israel at the helm and that's israelis are talking about that as a possibility to

01:06:42come out of it so there are israelis who are saying well we can deal with the security situation let's

01:06:47just get this pact together with the arabs and let's make a peace program which we can build up our

01:06:52societies together for good and the rest of the world is pushing israel towards it saying that you've

01:06:58got to withdraw from the areas of judea and samaria the west bank hand them over to the palestinians

01:07:05and allow for some kind of palestinian entity in the eastern part of jerusalem as their capital

01:07:11so can you see there are a few interesting points there about which could line up with bible prophecy

01:07:23same time there is a new danger which is coming from the north from turkey

01:07:29it's interesting that turkey has shifted from being a quiet participant to an active

01:07:34power broker particularly in syria and you've got deployment of turkish forces now in northern syria

01:07:42and you've got turkish troops who are coming into the area of syria which is now a power vacuum

01:07:51in the jewish chronicle there was an article which said about turkey becoming a danger to israel

01:07:57said spoke about erdogan's dangerous plans for the middle east and how israel could stop him

01:08:01that israel pushed back iran pushed back iran has been pushed back but now it asks could turkey

01:08:08replace tehran's axis of resistance with its own sunni ring of fire encircling the jewish state

01:08:16so turkey is coming down into the north of is the north into syria and threatening israel

01:08:22and israel is beginning to face turkey in syria itself uh talking about syria

01:08:29yeah you've got a conflict which is taking place already in the south of syria that's the galan heights

01:08:37which is regained in the 67 war uh that's damascus i've been on the galan heights and there was a

01:08:45signpost said damascus 40 kilometers so it's not very far uh into this southern area and now the

01:08:53islamic regime has taken over kicked out assad and you have the islamists under the organization

01:09:01called hayat tahrir al sham which is ruling over damascus and syria israel is knocked out a whole lot

01:09:09of syrian air and uh military uh resources after the uh revolution in took place because they don't

01:09:19want them to fall into the hands of these uh militants and they have now moved some of their forces into

01:09:26southern syria so they've got now another buffer zone here on the southern northern side of the

01:09:33uh israeli side of the galan heights the syrians are demanding that they withdraw from all of this

01:09:40area but they're saying that they were not and israel is saying that they're going to make a sure that

01:09:46in this whole area south of damascus there is no military force coming in which could then attack

01:09:52israel they're already attacking they've already had some kind of military resources taking place there

01:09:59now according to an article i read netanyahu insists that any military forces

01:10:03aligned with harat hayat tahrir al sham that's the new government will not be allowed south of

01:10:08damascus this means that damascus is now right on the front lines of the conflict between israel

01:10:15and the people who are ruling syria if an all-out war erupts then damascus could be in the firing line

01:10:24which could lead to damascus being further destroyed

01:10:27uh many buildings in damascus already reduced to rubble because of the civil war if something

01:10:34happens which could move it even further you could have a fulfillment of the prophecy in isaiah 17

01:10:42and i'm just going to sum up now with a few prophecies which relate to the current situation in the

01:10:48middle east some events in the light of bible prophecy now if you've been following what i've

01:10:55said all of these things could be about to happen not sure what order they may come in and that's one

01:11:02of the puzzles and the difficulties of trying to interpret bible prophecy but the bible says some of

01:11:08these things are going to happen these things are going to happen before the end of days one of them is

01:11:13that damascus will be utterly destroyed and turned into a heap of ruins isaiah chapter 17 it's never

01:11:21happened happened partially in the civil war but it's never happened totally could something be

01:11:28going to happen which could lead to that it also speaks about a power from the north coming down

01:11:34through syria and possibly through lebanon as well to attack israel on its northern front in the war

01:11:41which is called the war of gog and magog according to the bible the war of gog and magog is led by a

01:11:47power to the uttermost parts of the north which is described also as nisi rosh the prince of rosh or the

01:11:55chief prince of meshech and tibbal many commentators have allied that to russia because russia is to the

01:12:04far north and there are possible connections to russia russia russia russia russia russia and also to

01:12:12meshech moscow possibly hebrew scholars have said that that is a connection someone said no these places

01:12:20are actually in turkey which is also to the north of israel and what's interesting today is actually

01:12:25that russia is now had its military decimated in the ukraine war it's had lost hundreds of thousands of

01:12:33soldiers it's lost a lot of people who've actually emigrated from the country and russia is in a very

01:12:38weak position at this present time and possibly unable to launch any kind of military activity in

01:12:45that area if this war is some way off it could recover after the end of the ukraine war possible

01:12:52but the present time it looks that russia would hardly be involved turkey is getting involved

01:12:57turkey is also uh seen in alliance with other anti-israel forces in the region

01:13:05so could it be turkey that's going to lead the war i'm not going to be dogmatic but we're just

01:13:11raising these as possibilities it does say there'll be this war it'll involve turkey

01:13:14it'll involve to gama which is also mentioned connected with turkey and it will certainly involve

01:13:20persia which is iran so you have these forces coming together which will come against israel at some

01:13:25point in the last days the bible scholars question whether this is the last of the last battles

01:13:30whether it's the same as armageddon or whether it is something which happens before it again that's

01:13:35what i'm not going to go into in detail but all those are possibilities so sometimes there's going

01:13:41to these things are going to happen that's what the bible says it also says there's going to be a

01:13:45peace treaty of some form between israel and presumably the moderate arab regimes and even with

01:13:52the palestinians daniel chapter 9 it speaks about a strong covenant being made with many

01:13:57which will break down halfway through it will last be made for seven years period of seven years and

01:14:02will break down halfway through and lead to the final act of desolation which will lead to the

01:14:07events which will lead up to the second coming of the messiah so there are things happening which

01:14:12are also pushing us towards some kind of peace treaty with israel

01:14:15and it also is going to play out in some relation to jerusalem

01:14:21zechariah chapter 12 says jerusalem is going to be a burdensome stone burdening all nations

01:14:28so something's going to happen in relation to the status of jerusalem which is going to involve

01:14:31not just the countries round about but also even all the nations of the world

01:14:37and you can see that that is actually precisely what's happening at the present time

01:14:41so you put those four things together and i'm not saying which order they're going to happen but

01:14:45bible says they're going to happen and in some ways they're all shaping up in the events which are

01:14:50taking place right now could happen quite soon actually someone

01:14:57does raise the question are we on the event on the brink of the time which the bible describes as

01:15:03the great tribulation which will precede the second coming of jesus

01:15:06also described in the book of jeremiah as the time of jacob's trouble time of trouble unlike any other

01:15:15and finally who's going to save israel

01:15:21if you go to the book of jeremiah uh chapter 30 you have an interesting passage which describes

01:15:27things are going to happen in the days before after this is going to happen after the return of

01:15:32jewish people to the land so in jeremiah 31 30 it speaks about the lord bringing back my people

01:15:40israel causing them to return to the land that i gave to their fathers they shall possess it so if

01:15:45i'm going to happen to bring jewish people back from the other countries to the land of israel

01:15:50then it says it's going to be followed by these events

01:15:55now these are the words that the lord spoke concerning israel and judah thus says the lord we've heard a voice

01:15:59of trembling of fear and not of peace ask now and see whether a man is ever in labor with child so

01:16:04why do i see every man with his hands on his loins like a woman in labor and all faces turn pale

01:16:10alas for that day is great so that none is like it it is the time of jacob's trouble but he will be saved

01:16:15out of it so speaking about a time of great trouble which is going to come at the end of days time when it'd be

01:16:22like a man going into labor so i'm not talking about transgenders here it's just talking about some

01:16:28event which is so shocking that it's even as though a man feels like he's going into labor

01:16:33we know that when a woman goes into labor then she goes experiences these uh contractions which are

01:16:40painful events which lead up to the birth of the child so it's saying once you see these painful

01:16:45events taking place the time of trouble they're going to continue until you get to the birth of the

01:16:49child which would be in this case the return of the messiah

01:16:56and it says when this happens it will come to pass in that day

01:17:00says this day is great so that none is like it it's the time of jacob's trouble but he shall be

01:17:04saved out of it so it's a time of great trouble but he's going to be saved out of it something going

01:17:09to happen to save him is it going to be an alliance of jews and christians coming together to save the

01:17:15world it'd be nice if it was but i don't think it is uh it should come to pass in that day says the

01:17:22lord of hosts that i will break his yoke from your neck i will burst your bonds foreigners should no

01:17:26more enslave you they shall serve the lord their god and david their king whom i will raise up for

01:17:31them david their king i believe here is a type of the messiah coming the second time because god's

01:17:37going to break the bonds and god's going to raise up his king his messiah who's going to come

01:17:42and save his people so who will save israel the messiah who will save us the messiah will he save

01:17:52western civilization probably not because i think western civilization is on its deathbed but hopefully

01:18:01it'll save some kind of credible society so we can continue to meet like this and to carry on our lives

01:18:07but we are in a perilous time as far as western civilization and our whole world situation is

01:18:13concerned but the lord says he's going to save us and he goes on to say i'm with you says the lord to

01:18:19save you though i make an end of all the nations where i've scattered you yet i will not make a complete

01:18:24end of you but i will correct you in justice and i will not let you go altogether unpunished

01:18:30so god says he's going to save israel but in the process of saving them he's going to correct

01:18:36something which they got wrong so i think i've asked this question before but what is it that

01:18:40israel's got wrong which god has to correct you can think of a few things which israel's got wrong and

01:18:47israel's not perfect by any means but there's one major thing which not just israel in the land but

01:18:53israel in the diaspora has got wrong that is the identity of the messiah until israel gets the

01:19:00question of the identity of the messiah right then god can't save them so something going to happen

01:19:06which will cause israel to recognize the messiah if you go to zechariah chapter 12 it says when these

01:19:11troubles come god's going to pour out his spirit upon the house of israel and they will look upon me

01:19:15whom they have pierced and mourn for him as for an only son so you look to one who's been pierced who's

01:19:21died by crucifixion and they're going to mourn for him as an only son son of god coming to save them

01:19:27yeshua the messiah so there's some connection between israel looking to the messiah and the

01:19:33end of days and the resolution of all these things and at the end of jeremiah chapter 30

01:19:39there's an interesting verse in hebrew it says in the end of days you're going to consider it

01:19:48and understand it so when you get to the end of days which we are in now you're going to understand

01:19:53these things and we have to pray that there's a growing understanding in amongst the jews and

01:20:00amongst the christians that we're living in the end of days and that the messiah is coming

01:20:05that he's the only one who can sort out this mess which we have in the world today

01:20:09and he can sort it out praise the lord because he is the messiah and he has the answer and we can

01:20:14look to the lord and have confidence that he's coming to save us i believe we're living in the

01:20:20last days i believe that jesus is coming i believe the controversy of zion can only be resolved through

01:20:26the coming of the messiah and although we do agree with

01:20:33jewish people that the restoration of israel is in line with the prophecies of the bible

01:20:38we recognize also that god does have a controversy with israel the secular and the religious have

01:20:45both got something wrong something very important wrong that's the identity of the messiah until they

01:20:51come to recognize yeshua as a messiah then they can't have the peace which they're looking for

01:20:57which brings us back to the verse we started with the stone that the builders rejected

01:21:02has become the head of the corner the rejected stone yeshua becomes the head of the corner becomes

01:21:09the chief cornerstone holding everything in place when israel recognizes the messiah then the messiah will

01:21:15come back again and he'll bring peace and justice to the world so all these problems i've talked to you

01:21:20about which maybe you found a bit oppressive even they're going to come unfortunately we can't stop them

01:21:28i wish we could mr trump actually has some good projects and good ideas but he's not a

01:21:37fiber believing christian and his program is not actually totally in line with god's program

01:21:44and i'm afraid it's not going to resolve these problems these problems are going to get worse and worse

01:21:49and then we have a time of great trouble and then jesus is going to come back and he's going to rule on

01:21:53the earth for a thousand years in peace and justice that's the only hope and until we come

01:21:59to recognize yeshua as the messiah then i'm afraid we're still on the wrong side as far as god is concerned

01:22:07so although coming back to melanie phillips she has got a lot of things right she understands why

01:22:13western civilization is falling apart but she has also to come to recognize the answer which is

01:22:19believing in the jewish messiah who is also the savior of the world who is yeshua our lord jesus

01:22:28the messiah who's the only hope the only one who can save us praise his name
