A new study says that a nasal spray may hold the key to locking your marriage woes away.

It contains a hormone called oxytocin, known to play a positive role in sexual reproduction, social recognition, and bonding.

Don’t fire your therapist just yet. The study also recommends that the “love hormone” be taken while under professional supervision.

The review states, "These neurochemical enhancers would be used in conjunction with counseling and/or other controlled activities to facilitate communication and the pursuit of joint goals and ideals between couples experiencing conflict."

It’s also recommended that couples spend some time focusing on what is positive about their relationship.

Prioritizing intimacy is another aspect deemed important to the process of marriage repair. Cuddling is believed to tap into the brain’s natural oxytocin.

If it ends up not working out no matter what you do or take, look to a future where there may be the option of taking an oxytocin blocker – an anti-love drug of sorts.

Experiments on animals have found that when the brain’s capacity to produce the hormone has been compromised, the test subjects had little or no ability to bond with others.
