Thousands Risk Lives Trying to Flee Gaza

Nine Palestinians drowned in Turkish waters on Wednesday after their boat capsized due to overcrowding. In Gaza, three Israeli wars, a tightened blockade, unemployment, insecurity, political divisions and frightful economic conditions are prompting thousands of Palestinians to risk their lives on the high seas in search of a better life. They leave through tunnels at the border with Egypt, where they are carried in smuggler boats to European coasts in return for large amounts of cash. Thousands have died on this dangerous journey. Noor Harazeen reports from Gaza for teleSUR.
