Interviews from Caracas – The Hugo Chavez Medical Brigade

Today our host Cody Weddle speaks with the head of the Hugo Chavez Medical Brigade, Diony Eryu. The Brigade’s first project was to lend assistance to indigenous peoples in the Amazonas state. Building on past achievements initiated by Chavez, such as the Barrio Adentro program, in which Cuban doctors help provide medical care for people in the slums, the Brigade strives to combat the capitalist mindset among many doctors and help extend free medical care to the far corners of Venezuela.
