AUBURN HILLS, MICHIGAN — A 46-year old female vigilante has been charged with a misdemeanor after shooting up a Michigan parking lot in an attempt to stop some shoplifters.

Wannabe 'Good gal with a gun' Tatiana Duva-Rodriguez was outside the Joslyn Road Home Depot on October 6 when she saw two men fleeing the store with a trolley-full of unpaid for goods.

Rodriguez, pulled out her 9mm concealed carry handgun and fired several rounds at the suspects' black Jeep SUV, one of the rounds flattening a tire.

She then stuck around to talk to the police.

Anthony Harris, 46, and the other suspect were both later caught and charged with retail fraud.

A press release from the local prosecutors called Duva-Rodriguez's actions 'misguided' , while Auburn Hills police said they do not encourage bystanders to insert themselves into incidents because of the potential for deadly consequences."

She was arraigned on a charge of reckless use, handling or discharge of a firearm, and faces up to 90 days in jail or a fine.

Her attorney called the situation 'unfortunate' and implied his client was a victim of the ongoing debate between gun control and the Second Amendment.
