A vehicle struck an ambulance that was heading back from a call, causing the emergency vehicle to crash into a poll which then impaled another car.

An ambulance in Maryland became part of a crash itself after being sideswiped by a vehicle and sent crashing into a poll—which then fall straight through another.

Video released by the Prince George's County Fire and EMS Department shows the pole's position in the aftermath of the crash.

The ambulance was returning from a call, when it was struck by another vehicle on the Capital Beltway, sending it careening into a light pole.

Luis Abrego, the driver of the impaled vehicle, narrowly escaped injury as the poll missed his head by just a few inches. (

He told the Washington Post, “When I turned my neck and I saw the post in the car, I said, ‘Oh my God.’...Never in my life. Believe me, I never saw something like this
