NOAA Explorers Spot Unique And Somewhat Creepy Hermit Crab

NOAA explorers recently captured footage of a hermit crab wandering the sea floor near the Mariana Islands. Though it has all the legs it’s supposed to, some aren’t immediately evident as the crab’s back limbs serve exclusively as anemone carriers.

Hermit crabs are largely known to hole up in whatever decent-sized shell they can find, but some brazenly walk about wearing nothing more than a modestly sized sea anemone.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration or NOAA's Okeanos Explorer team recently captured footage of one such creature wandering the sea floor near the Mariana Islands.
