This Bizarre Skull Condition Considered Extinct Found To Be Commonplace

Researchers from the U.S. and South Africa have determined that a skull condition which causes the bone in the eye sockets to become porous is actually prevalent, not extinct as previously believed.

A skull condition long thought extinct is still present in some modern human populations, according to a recent study by the researchers from North Carolina State University and University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. 
Called cribra orbitalia, or CO, the disorder results in the inner bone of the eye sockets becoming porous. 
Such deterioration, however, is not known to cause any negative health issues. Rather, it's believed to simply be a product of iron deficiency anemia.
