Ruby And Sapphire Material Gets Blown Around This Giant Exoplanet

A new study led by the University of Warwick in the U.K. has, for the first time, identified a weather system on a large gaseous exoplanet; the activity is believed to manifest as strong winds that can blow around clouds containing corundum, the mineral that composes rubies and sapphires.
