How to Build Your Aerobic Base, Get Results and Work Smarter

Seeking more information on how to build your aerobic base? This video will help you think through your preparation and know what to focus on and what not to do. No athlete, regardless of ability level, should start doing anaerobic training without first laying a strong foundation of easy, base mileage before moving into harder training.

We all have three choices in this sport. Be average. Be good or be great. How you set up your training and your daily actions is entirely up to you. I believe in investing in yourself, your training and mindset and have invested in courses and coaching myself over the years learning from professionals who have done what I was seeking to do.

I always focused on building a strong aerobic base of mileage prior to starting my 5K to marathon race strategy all of my life. You also needs to mentally rehearse what you want to do. The subconscious mind is very powerful and often times mental training is even more important than the physical training that we do. It is also the most often times neglected component of training.

Watch any professional skier, BMX rider, skateboarder or wing suit flyer (my favorite being Jebb Corliss). These athletes are mentally rehearing their movements BEFORE they move. Runners who want to take their running to the next level need to spend time mentally rehearsing theirs as well.
