00:00 I've been seeing this beautiful cut floating around Facebook and wanted to try to see if
00:05 I could recreate it using Head Shape Matters cutting system.
00:10 After deciding the length at the bottom and at the top, I went in with a Cliprover comb
00:16 at the bottom and then formulated a haircut using math and looked at what angles I needed
00:25 to cut the hair at using this formula.
00:30 On this bottom level here, I'm cutting 60 degrees from head shape throughout that entire
00:37 level.
00:39 With Head Shape Matters, everything is broken down into levels so that you always know where
00:44 you are and what cutting angles you need for that particular level.
00:51 On this one, I'm cutting at 60 and once I have that initial guide from head shape cut,
00:59 it becomes my guide for the rest of that level.
01:06 As I work up to the next level, my formula told me I needed to cut this at 90 degrees
01:12 from head shape to my guide from underneath.
01:18 Each time I'm taking a guide from the previously cut section.
01:23 Now I'm cutting at 120 degrees from head shape horizontally.
01:30 It just depends on what I can control.
01:33 So now 105 from head shape.
01:37 Now I'm going to move into the side panel, taking a guide from the back.
01:45 All throughout the side panel, I don't want to build any weight or graduation on the side
01:50 of this cut.
01:53 So I'm cutting everything between 180 and 135 degrees from head shape at each level.
02:01 This is going to help me remove all the weight.
02:15 Now that I've removed all the weight, I'm going to go through with my clippers and trim
02:19 out around the ears.
02:26 Now I'm in this front panel and again, I want to preserve the length and remove all the
02:33 weight.
02:34 So I'm cutting at 180 from head shape against the way that the hair falls or will live.
02:43 So after just going through and shaping this a little bit with a flat iron, I'm taking
02:48 a diagonal perimeter in the fringe.
02:57 And then I'll just shape it with a little bit of styling cream.
03:03 And if you're practicing on mannequins, it's a good idea to cut just one side.
03:09 That allows you to practice a whole other haircut on the other side.
03:14 I love how it turned out.
