00:00 Do you want the floor? I'll just slap that. Okay.
00:04 Woohoo!
00:05 Good evening and welcome to Jenny and Demo's house.
00:08 Here we are again, a little later than what we were going to be on.
00:11 But anyway, we're here.
00:13 And as you saw in there, laughter. That's what it's all about.
00:16 The main thing is that you're here tonight with us and it's a real pleasure to have you with us.
00:20 To all our international viewers that are watching tonight, be good evening.
00:24 To all our national viewers that are watching, good evening also.
00:28 And to all our friends, family and everybody that is going to be watching this special presentation tonight, a big good evening also.
00:36 So, what's it all about? Well I said that we were going to do a second presentation by public demand.
00:41 And of course, the nice thing is that when we're doing these presentations, it's great to be able to come out of the salon and do something completely different.
00:49 Like I said the other night, it was a question of who lives in a house like this.
00:53 Obviously, Jenny and Demo very, very kindly tonight donated their house to us, which we'll be doing in Summer's Hair Race shortly.
00:59 But before then, obviously it's great because like I say, it all starts with a journey.
01:03 Hair is like a canvas. It's like a piece of art.
01:06 You have to think of it as being able to move it around, create magic, do something completely different with it.
01:14 And that's the beautiful thing about being a hairdresser, as we all know.
01:16 Tonight we'll be showcasing the products, how the products work with a haircut.
01:19 And also, of course, we'll be doing things that probably some people have never seen before.
01:24 In a situation where, you know, it's the dog.
01:27 So, of course, there you are.
01:29 So, we'll be doing things that you've probably never seen before.
01:32 We'll be working with products in different ways.
01:34 We'll be using cutting techniques that are a little bit different to what you've probably never seen before.
01:38 The reason we're a little bit later tonight is because we've actually prepared someone's hair already.
01:42 We won't be cutting from a wet canvas.
01:45 And the wet relationship of the haircut, we'll be going to cutting on dry tonight for a completely different change.
01:50 Because, again, I want to up the game slightly and also showcase how good the products work.
01:56 To all our international friends at Mook.
01:59 Mark, Paula, Leah and Clive, be good evening.
02:04 It's a real pleasure to be working with you and such a fantastic product.
02:08 Also, be good evening to everybody at Mook Central.
02:10 Alan Maxwell, Mr. Green, Mrs. Green and everybody at Mook Central.
02:15 Especially Justina as well. Be good evening if you're watching.
02:18 CJ Jones if you're watching also tonight.
02:21 Lennox Gill.
02:23 Lennox Gill, nice to see you with us tonight, bro.
02:26 As you can see, there's no alcohol with me tonight. I'm not drinking whiskey.
02:30 I'm actually on no alcohol whatsoever.
02:33 Andy Hardy.
02:34 I don't know who he's drinking, but it's all good.
02:36 Andy Hardy, nice to see you.
02:37 Big mate, great to see you tonight.
02:39 I'm guessing that Grace will be watching also.
02:41 And Lynne Marie Atkinson.
02:43 It's great to have you with us.
02:44 Also, be good evening to the Saxon family if you're on also tonight.
02:46 It's always great to have everybody with us to give up your time away from Coronation Street.
02:51 I was debating sitting on the sofa tonight actually to start this film and just have Coronation Street on.
02:56 So you can actually see me relax because I do actually relax.
02:58 But I normally watch Midsomer's Murders or Death in Paradise.
03:02 Sometimes it's a little bit different.
03:04 Right, let me introduce you without further ado to our beautiful model that we have tonight.
03:09 The sister that was filming the other night to Cameron.
03:12 Let's give it up for Summer!
03:14 Woo!
03:15 It's nice to wave Summer.
03:17 I said, "Here we go."
03:18 So Summer will be working with us tonight.
03:20 I said, "Yeah."
03:21 So Summer will be working with us tonight.
03:23 We'll be working on Summer's hair.
03:25 We actually prepared Summer's hair earlier.
03:27 So let's just look at what we've been doing.
03:30 We've been working with the Mook Blonde Toning Shampoo.
03:33 Now what's nice about this is it's actually got the blue colour.
03:37 So of course the beautiful thing about this is that when it hits the blonde tones of Summer's hair,
03:43 it really emphasises and brings the blonde out even more.
03:47 Almost like rejuvenating it.
03:48 We then used the One Minute Blonde Toning Treatment, which again, really nice beautiful colour there.
03:54 Everybody will be thinking, "Ah, that's lovely."
03:56 Again, all designed in Australia to bring out the blonde and make it look even prominent.
04:03 We then went on to use an unusual product.
04:07 One of my favourite products at the moment.
04:09 This is actually Kinky Mook Curl Leave-in Moisturiser.
04:12 What's interesting about this is it was designed for curly hair.
04:16 But I love using it on straight hair because it gives it an unbelievable finish, which you'll see in a minute.
04:22 We then went on to use Fat Mook Blowout Mousse, which is my favourite cutting lotion.
04:27 Which again, I always put that on as a canvas because it contains conditioner.
04:31 And also allows me to see what's going on.
04:34 We then added, because I'm a risk taker, the same as the Spa Oil, we used the Beard Oil.
04:41 Which again, I thought it would bring it out and make it completely different.
04:46 That's it, I was waiting for it to bring it out to me. Thanks. Hi.
04:49 So that's really what we've used already so far.
04:52 And then we've gone in with the Mook Wide Plate Straighteners.
04:57 Which we've brought into the equation as well to make it even more interesting.
05:01 So rather than using the normal thin straighteners, we went for the wide plates tonight just for a slight change.
05:09 Now let's just have a little look at Summer's hair while they eat.
05:12 Because we've specifically prepared one half already of the hair.
05:16 So you can see what we're doing. That's it lady. Thank you sweetheart.
05:19 So you can now see the gloss that's on the hair.
05:22 So you can see with this, the blondes re-emphasised with the blue shampoo.
05:27 You can also see just how smooth that looks with the Beard Oil and also the Leave-In Curl Moisturiser Conditioner.
05:35 But again, it's preparing the canvas, making sure it's right.
05:39 So when I come in to do the cut, I need this hair to be lying in the right position.
05:42 So when I do the cut, it will sit perfect.
05:45 And when we come round to the other side, which we've specifically left...
05:48 Over this way Jen. That's it. No, it's fine. It's good.
05:50 You can see the difference on here. It looks a bit more coarser.
05:53 We've got to go through it and work it to make it look even smoother.
05:56 So I've specifically left this side deliberately just so that I can actually showcase just how that works.
06:03 Have we got anybody that's come on tonight so I can say hello to anybody before I get into the cut?
06:07 Let's have a look. Who've we got?
06:08 Oh yes, a disco down there. Chris Fellowes, good to see you as well on there.
06:13 And also good to see Richard McKinder. Rakesh, good to see you on there.
06:18 The number plate man. He's number one number plate man in Leicester.
06:22 So what you're going to see, if you come round the front and film somewhere now, you can actually see the difference from side to side.
06:27 So you can actually see the pre-prepared side and you can actually see the side I'm going to work on in a minute.
06:31 Now, let's just talk about the cut.
06:33 Once I've actually done the straightening, I will actually go through a one length haircut.
06:39 Sophia Ryan.
06:40 Sorry, who's that?
06:41 Sophia Ryan, Summer's friend.
06:43 Hello, Sophia Ryan, Summer's friend.
06:45 So we're going to go through the length at the bottom and cut that in a square line.
06:48 We're then going to come through with a safety razor through the sides and put some blending in.
06:52 We're going to drop a fringe in as well that's asymmetrical.
06:54 We'll use some curved scissors to then take the weight out of here with a convex layer, the same shape as an eyeball,
07:01 which will then make that blending even better.
07:03 It will then get even more complicated because I will then lift the hair up and then stroke into the hair as I'm cutting it
07:10 to make it look even more interesting, which will then take the layers slightly,
07:13 round here, round here, that's it, which will make it even slightly shorter gradually.
07:17 But the beautiful thing about it is that when it's blow dried, it will look smooth and sleek and bend under slightly,
07:23 but with a beautiful invisible layer.
07:26 Now, we'll be working with the road map of the head, so let's just go through what we're doing.
07:31 We're going to be working with the recession on the top.
07:33 We'll be working with the parietal ridge, that's the bone that literally divides the head on the top to the sides
07:39 and where that bend is on the head.
07:41 We'll be working with the apex on the top.
07:43 We'll also be working with the upper occipital bone.
07:46 We'll then go into the protruding bone that sticks out of the skull, which you'd use for a graduated bob,
07:52 which you would go no shorter, which is the occipital bone.
07:55 We'll then be working, which will be the starting point of this cut tonight, which is the lower occipital bone.
08:01 We'll then be working with the bone that protrudes out of the back of the ear, which is called the mustoid process.
08:07 And we may be working with the nape also tonight.
08:10 So, let's get the mook, stowl straighteners, stowl stick.
08:16 Jane's Hickman.
08:17 Jane's Hickman, nice to see you with us tonight.
08:19 Sally Ann Dexter.
08:20 Sally Ann Dexter. Hello, my darling, how are you?
08:23 Thank you so much for what you have done for me with education.
08:27 What can I say? You're a star, a real inspiration to me.
08:30 Thank you so much for what you've done.
08:32 Buster Dalton.
08:33 Buster Dalton, good to see you with us as well tonight.
08:35 Buster, you need to ring up and see when you're coming in next.
08:37 I haven't seen you for a while.
08:39 Dan Marston, Convex.
08:40 Nice to see you at Convex, that's right.
08:42 Good to see you with us tonight.
08:43 So, this is the one stroke.
08:45 Now, you can see the plate, how it works.
08:47 You've got a normal plate, and then inside you've got a red light in there.
08:51 That's got ions in there, which basically takes away the negative,
08:55 well, basically the positive hair that sticks out and turns it into negative,
09:00 which then makes it smooth, which you can see now.
09:03 We're getting a nice finish, which is what we want.
09:05 Someone's hair has got to look absolutely perfect for this.
09:08 In order to do the dry relationship of the haircut, it's got to be absolutely perfect.
09:12 If you were to lay scissors onto a haircut and cut it dry normally,
09:18 you wouldn't get a nice finish, so you need to make sure that the hair sits absolutely perfect.
09:24 So, of course, we've prepared it, as I said, with all these products earlier on.
09:28 We've took the time with the round brush to get it perfect,
09:31 which, of course, will take me back to the days of when Sally Ann Dexter was teaching me how to blow dry on the old courses.
09:39 Tracy Williams.
09:40 Tracy Williams, good to see you with us tonight.
09:42 Woo!
09:43 Part of the Saxon family.
09:44 That's good to have you with us tonight on the--
09:46 Sarah Gunn.
09:48 Sarah Gunn, nice to have you with us also tonight.
09:51 My cousin.
09:52 It's great, sorry, just trying not to yell.
09:54 Damien's joined us, though.
09:55 Damien Hirst, the guy that owns the house, has joined us tonight.
10:00 Nice to see you with us, Damien, tonight.
10:02 He's just watching what's going on from the other room, which is good.
10:05 So, again, what we're doing is now just building it up slowly.
10:08 You can see, just by doing this, it's a nice, wide plate.
10:12 It just gives you a chance just to put this through.
10:14 A lot of people have asked me about this wide plate.
10:16 They've actually asked me about these straighteners.
10:18 They've actually turned around and said, "Speak of the devil, here he is," but he's not watching.
10:23 Hello.
10:24 I'd say, "Hello, Josh."
10:26 There's Cameron over there from the other night.
10:30 Not drinking beer.
10:32 Not drinking beer, of course, yes, that's right.
10:34 Well done, Cameron.
10:35 Excellent.
10:36 So now we're just coming through, again, just keeping that smooth.
10:39 Let's just take this next shield off because it just showcases everything a little bit better.
10:43 Again, it's really important.
10:45 So, again, it's important to get things smooth and get them looking right.
10:50 A big good evening also, if Sally Ann Zext is still on, to John McLean, if he's with you tonight.
10:56 Trevor, do miss John.
10:58 It's a good old time when we were in Los Angeles.
11:01 Do think about the old days quite a bit.
11:03 It's absolutely brilliant.
11:05 The old days when we used to tour the world together.
11:07 Brilliant.
11:09 So, that's what makes us what we are and what we're able to share to others, especially the younger generation.
11:16 So once I've gone through this back quadrant, we're then going to move on to the side quadrant and make sure that that all sits perfect.
11:23 And then we'll start with the cut, which will be really nice.
11:27 Like I say, tonight it's going to be quite interesting because we're working with the dry relationship of the haircut, which, again, is challenging.
11:34 We're working without a mirror as well, which, again, is challenging.
11:37 And we're working from a house, out of salon and on location, which, again, is challenging.
11:43 But, again, I'd like to...
11:44 Sharon McCaffrey.
11:45 Sharon McCaffrey, nice to see you with us tonight, sweetheart.
11:47 I hope you're really well and I hope the cats have left you a space on the sofa.
11:51 I'm guessing Nick's with you or he's away.
11:53 I've not seen him on Facebook before, well, today, so I'm guessing he's either at home or he's in Poland or he might be with Wolfgang.
11:59 But I hope you're okay. I'm sure I'll see you at the weekend.
12:02 Chloe Neville.
12:03 Chloe Neville, happy 18th birthday.
12:06 I have got you a card and a really nice present when you come back to work, but I hope you had a great 18th.
12:10 And, yes, I am missing you at work. It'd be nice when you come back.
12:13 I'll see you soon.
12:15 Right, let's see, shuffle around a little bit more.
12:18 A bit more around there.
12:19 Lee Marie Atkinson.
12:20 Lee Marie Atkinson.
12:21 Grace will be there. Big mate will be there.
12:24 Right, nice little trick for you.
12:26 Diagonal back section.
12:27 What this does now is as we put the arm up in the air with this section, it gives us a chance to be able to get the bend at the front.
12:36 Because what it's doing is it's dictating where we need to be going.
12:39 Come round this way.
12:40 I see you, I'm showing you.
12:41 That's fine, okay, sorry.
12:42 I thought you were...
12:43 No, I'm showing you my arm movement.
12:45 That's it, the arm movement.
12:47 You mean the mechanics.
12:49 The mechanics.
12:50 Of what I'm doing, that's it. That's why it's called the mechanics.
12:52 You have to think about how you're standing, it's really important.
12:55 So again, just going through this nice and steady.
12:58 Don't want to go too fast because again we need to keep it clean, keep it smooth.
13:03 So everything just sits in nice.
13:05 And again, this is crucial to get all this to lie really, really nice.
13:10 That's it, let's have a nice little smile there.
13:12 That's it.
13:13 All the viewers at home or around the world will be watching and thinking, "He looks really serious."
13:18 "Sumo!"
13:19 That's it.
13:20 So, you can see there's a big kink in here.
13:23 So just got to work on that a little bit.
13:25 Apply a little bit more pressure, but not pulling too hard.
13:29 And then bringing it round towards the face.
13:31 Now, when I come through this with a razor blade shortly, like I say, I can't emphasize just how this needs to be sitting.
13:38 It needs to be sitting really smooth, into position the way I like it to be, so I can get it perfect.
13:44 So again, the idea is perfect sections, perfect straightening, gives a perfect haircut.
13:50 Jamie Brown, good life food.
13:52 Jamie Brown, nice to see you with us tonight.
13:54 I hope you're well on there.
13:56 Thank you.
13:57 Well, the good thing is we're working off a different Wi-Fi tonight, which means we'll stay on as opposed to disappearing.
14:03 Andy Hardy.
14:04 Andy Hardy, Mr. Smith.
14:05 I've got a picture for you I took off a van today, which says, "Smooth plastering," which I thought of you.
14:11 I managed to get the car to stop and took the photo, so I'll send it to you privately later.
14:16 You'll find it funny.
14:17 I thought of you straight away.
14:19 I thought, "Big mate will love that."
14:22 So now the last section.
14:23 Ross Cunningham.
14:25 Ross Cunningham.
14:26 How are you, my sweet baby?
14:28 The Parietal Ridge.
14:29 We'll be working with that later, your favorite position.
14:32 Cuss, second knuckle.
14:34 I know you're into all that.
14:35 I hope you're okay, Ross.
14:37 I'll miss you on Sunday at Primal.
14:39 I hope to see you this Sunday.
14:41 So now we'll just bring it around.
14:42 This is like a workout.
14:43 Ross, you should have a go at this sometime.
14:45 Enjoy it.
14:47 It is like a proper workout on long hair.
14:50 So again, just making sure everything sits nice.
14:53 You can really see the difference now.
14:55 It's really starting to shine and look really quite nice through there.
14:58 Jenny's just putting the camera in my face, so I can't really see what I'm doing.
15:02 No, I'm showing that you're a good photographer.
15:04 Thank you.
15:05 Thanks.
15:06 That's it.
15:07 That's all I can say.
15:08 Thanks.
15:10 I am the creator.
15:12 I used to say that years ago.
15:14 I am the creator.
15:16 That's it.
15:17 So there we go now.
15:18 Everything's all nice and smooth and ready to go.
15:20 Paul King, hi, Scott.
15:21 Paul King.
15:22 King here from Essex.
15:23 Good to see you with us tonight.
15:24 King, I hope the family's really good.
15:26 I hope you're really good.
15:27 So now we're going to go into the hard way of the hair.
15:30 So we're going to be working from the apex, coming through,
15:33 subdividing to the back of the ear, which is the Mustaard process.
15:36 And then we'll come back down to the middle section
15:38 to then be able to subdivide the haircut.
15:41 I want to come around this way, so you need to go around that way.
15:44 That's it.
15:45 It's like theatre.
15:47 You have to be able to manoeuvre with the actor.
15:52 Right, so down the back.
15:54 Come around here, come around here.
15:55 That's it.
15:56 You're coming a bit out of the way.
15:58 That's because I don't want to knock you in the face with my armour.
16:00 Right, so now we've got a clean section through the back.
16:04 Because, again, we need to keep this really clean.
16:07 So if you bring the camera that way, I can switch over with you,
16:10 and then you can see what I'm doing.
16:13 So now we're just keeping it nice and clean on the sections.
16:17 Again, this is the apex we're starting from.
16:20 I'd assumed we were going to start from the lower occipital bone,
16:24 but we're going to go from the occipital bone.
16:27 Right, so this is a great way just to shaft these straighteners.
16:35 So just put it on there, on it goes, and then it comes out nice and smooth,
16:40 which is why I want to look at that little one-stroke action straight on there.
16:44 That's why I love doing those with mock straighteners.
16:46 It just always gives us a nice finish.
16:48 Right, so--
16:49 Parlor par for John.
16:50 What is it, Sian?
16:51 Parlor par for--
16:53 Big evening.
16:54 Nice to have you with us tonight.
16:56 So let's get the scissors.
16:58 I seem to pick which ones I'm going to use.
17:01 You've got them on you.
17:02 Where's my scissors?
17:03 Where's my comb?
17:04 Where's my scissors?
17:05 Where's my comb?
17:06 We're going to use the tight part of the blade and the tighter part of the bone.
17:12 Barbara Billings join.
17:13 Hiya.
17:15 Hi, Barbara.
17:16 Are you okay?
17:17 Nice to see you, sweetheart.
17:18 Looking forward to seeing you at the weekend.
17:19 Hope Paul's okay as well, and the girls.
17:22 Right, so this bit's really important now.
17:24 This is where we're going to put the design line in.
17:26 So this is where it really does get important to make sure that everything's right.
17:30 Let's just make sure that the muck gown's all clipped up.
17:33 So make sure the legs are not crossed, and then we take the middle section, keep it nice and clean.
17:39 Everybody has to stay nice and still, and then we just go in and just really stamp that line in.
17:46 I did this once in a restaurant in the middle of people that were eating.
17:52 Somebody said to me once, she said, "Would you do my hair?"
17:55 So I said, "Of course I would."
17:56 So I actually just got up there and did it, straightened her hair out and really went for it.
18:00 And yeah, it was very good, something very different.
18:04 It's nice when you can take your skill set to different places, like in a kitchen.
18:11 Nobody would think it'd be possible, but it's just good.
18:15 I mean, the lighting's perfect.
18:16 You can see what's going on with everything.
18:18 So there's our design line.
18:20 Now we're going to go straight into the apex for this part.
18:23 So we go straight off the top to the back of the mastoid process,
18:27 and then we replicate that on the other side as well.
18:33 So I just shoot over, and then we then come through to the side parts in a minute.
18:39 So the idea is you keep everything really smooth and clean with your work.
18:45 Because again, that's what it's all about.
18:47 I'll just bring the camera back a bit.
18:49 I've got a bit of space.
18:51 Not too far back, otherwise you'd be struggling.
18:54 Up against the wall, I said.
18:56 Okay, so again, stumping the lining, keeping it really nice and clean.
19:01 You want to get all those dead ends off.
19:03 You can really see the difference.
19:05 Now again, the important part of this is when you're cutting a straight line,
19:08 you have to angle the comb down just like that.
19:11 If you angle it too straight, what will happen is the side will lip up and give you a shorter edge.
19:17 If you angle it slightly as it dries, theoretically it goes into a straight line.
19:22 So you are cutting it slightly in like a concave shape on each side.
19:27 Just a bit of information there for you.
19:30 Because people wonder why some bits tend to lip up, but that's how it works.
19:35 And again, you'll see I'm cutting through a comb.
19:37 If you've never cut through a comb before, try it, because this acts as a ruler,
19:43 so you can actually get a really nice clean edge.
19:46 If you're using your fingers, generally what tends to happen is,
19:48 some of you will probably say, "Oh, that happens to me now."
19:51 Put your fingers on, what happens is you cut it and it starts to turn,
19:55 or it's got longer pieces underneath.
19:58 That's what makes that happen.
20:00 Nick McCaffrey, nice to see you with us, bro.
20:04 Hope you're okay. Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday.
20:06 I need to change your time.
20:08 I know it's not right set over here, but I've got to change it to two if I can,
20:12 if that's a problem, because we're doing a charity event in the evening.
20:15 I'll send you a private inbox message.
20:17 Alright, bro. Been nice to see you.
20:19 So let's come around this side here.
20:21 Where are you tonight? Are you in Poland, Germany, or are you at home?
20:26 Nice to see you, Fiona. I hope you're well on there tonight.
20:32 So we've now got the cut on the baseline, which is the most important part of the cut,
20:39 because this is what dictates the rest of the haircut.
20:41 So now we're going to go and get a razor.
20:44 It's going to get really exciting.
20:46 So, safety razor. Here we go.
20:50 So, subdividing from the apex again, because you need the discipline in this cut.
20:57 Now, if you were to go, let's say you were to go further back from the back of the ear,
21:03 what would happen is it would start to V the haircut, sort of V into the back.
21:07 So if you went past there, that's what would happen.
21:10 So that's why you'd go to the back of the ear, because it just keeps the discipline.
21:13 There will be a disconnection at the very bottom, which we'll join in later.
21:17 But for the time being, I tend to be really disciplined on this, so you can see both clips at the bottom.
21:23 No problem.
21:24 Thanks, Nick. You're an absolute star.
21:26 Okay, let's come back round this side. Jenny, that's it.
21:29 Right, so now what's going to happen here?
21:31 We're having a C-shaped curvature haircut on here, so what happens is we're going to go short on the top,
21:37 where the part of the razor is, and it's going to come into a real nice turn into the bottom
21:41 to give us a C-shape.
21:43 Now you can do it one of two ways. You can lift it up and cut it that way,
21:48 or you can come into it with a pair of scissors that way.
21:50 You can flick it off with a pair of scissors, or you can razor it.
21:54 So of course, I've decided to razor it.
21:56 So, two things you need on this.
21:59 Most people would never razor when it's dry, but you can razor it as long as you've got a real sharp blade.
22:06 Andy Hardy.
22:07 Andy Hardy, yes, big man.
22:09 I want to look at the camera lady.
22:11 That's fine, I can make that possible for you.
22:14 Really?
22:15 There's the camera lady here.
22:16 Hi.
22:17 Maggie Quinney, nice to see you.
22:19 There you go.
22:20 Mark Pierpoint, all the way from France.
22:22 How you doing? Mark, good to see you.
22:24 Mike, nice to see you.
22:26 Woo-hoo!
22:28 Tukka, I should imagine.
22:29 Caroline's with you, nice to see you there also, and your friends.
22:32 I'm guessing Shag's with you as well.
22:34 Right, so, got to keep it flat with zero tension.
22:38 I'm going to go from about the nose area.
22:40 Now, got to cut this towards the fingers, so it's just going to go straight in, and literally just glide the razor blade through.
22:46 You can start to see the shape already.
22:48 That's it, good one.
22:50 That's it, so we can now start to see what's happening.
22:53 So you've got to really stay on this and see exactly where it's going.
22:56 And you cut the blade towards your fingers.
22:59 And as you do that, it doesn't cut you and it doesn't cut the guest.
23:03 You can start to see that shape starting to appear as we're doing this.
23:07 So now, we literally just angle it slightly out.
23:11 Again, bring it through.
23:14 Now, as I'm dragging my fingers down, this finger here, that's protecting the length.
23:20 Because without doing that, you will lose the length and it will take it straight off, so we're now starting to get that C shape.
23:25 Now, as we get towards the bottom, let's just bring the camera back a bit.
23:29 That's it, just a little bit, that's fine, we can see what's going on there.
23:32 As you start to bring it out, you can see I'm dragging it through, bringing it slightly forward.
23:37 Now, you can really start to see that turn is really starting to come in.
23:42 It is like magic.
23:44 I always think that whenever you cut hair, it is a real nice thing to be able to do and create some magic.
23:51 So now you can see, got a real nice turn coming in there.
23:54 Let's just take a little bit more out of there, just a fraction.
23:57 Because again, it's a very visual thing when you're working on a canvas of hair.
24:01 Again, this is very different to show this because obviously I've not got a mirror, what I'm working with.
24:08 And I'm also doing it on dry hair, so any mistakes, you'll see it immediately because there's no way you can get out of here.
24:15 So what you get now is a disconnection at the bottom.
24:19 Let's just bring that round and then just to bring that in slightly.
24:24 And that joins that to the bottom and then you've got a really nice finish, which then just joins that in and there you go.
24:32 There is the first side of the haircut, which gives us a really nice C-shape.
24:38 So now we're going to go and replicate that on the other side.
24:40 So, let's come round this side. Yes, let's.
24:43 So, here's some look.
24:46 Maggie, don't cut yourself again.
24:48 No, I won't Maggie, thank you sweetheart. Don't worry, it's fixed.
24:50 Now you won't even notice there.
24:52 Let's see what super glue can do for you.
24:55 I need it super glued for when I'm with Jeremy on Friday because I'll be picking at the weights again, no doubt.
25:00 How do you put yourself there?
25:02 Okay, we're on it now. So, here we go, we're going again.
25:05 So, we're just going to come straight on and we're using the fingers the opposite way.
25:09 Now you can really see this from the angle that Jenny's on now.
25:11 You can really see that cut in action.
25:14 See how it just drops in.
25:16 So, again, you have to sight yourself up to do this just so you can figure out where it's going and what it's doing.
25:22 But you can really see that shape.
25:24 So, I should imagine you've got a nice little camera angle there as you can see what's going on.
25:27 I like the pressure of this because you know that you can't, well you cannot make any mistakes.
25:33 It's got to really sit perfect, it's got to look perfect.
25:36 And you've got to have trust in your tools and your teachers.
25:40 So, thank you to all my teachers that have taught me.
25:43 Yeah, thanks to all my tools really for working.
25:46 Right, Jenny's as good as your tool, your tool's as good as you.
25:50 Whichever way you look at it.
25:52 Okay, so you can now see you've got a real nice C-shaped curve.
25:55 Let's just make sure we've not missed anything on this side.
25:58 And then we'll go into the exciting part of the layering in a minute in the back.
26:03 Okay, so, now if we come back round to the back.
26:06 That's it, we're going to go from, that's it, apex down to the mastoid process again.
26:12 So now we need to subdivide this.
26:14 What we're going to be doing now folks, friends, followers, is we're going to be putting a layer through the back section here.
26:22 Which makes this look interesting.
26:24 And then bring it through to around the layer on the top.
26:26 So the idea is this part will look as if it's smooth, very smooth, without any lines in it.
26:32 And then also it will create a lot of movement in the hair as well.
26:36 So that's what you have to think of.
26:37 So we're now just going to go through the back section.
26:40 My beautiful wife has just arrived.
26:42 No, don't!
26:44 [Laughter]
26:46 It's nice to see you, sweetheart.
26:48 So, we're now just going to divide, that's it, keep the camera on.
26:52 We're now just going to take it from the apex through to the upper occipital bone.
26:59 And across to, so we're going to go from the upper occipital bone to the mastoid process, that's it.
27:05 So I just got put off because Landa came in and I was just looking over and I saw Landa and I thought, "Oh yes, my beautiful wife."
27:12 Right, so, let's get back into it.
27:15 So this is what's going to happen now.
27:17 We're going to be working on a section through the back and give us a really nice layer.
27:21 So this is how it will work.
27:22 Jen's going to go over the other side of me and you'll be able to see what's going on.
27:26 You need to just let it go back a bit.
27:28 Right, so, as I now pull this out, that's the length, as that drops because we need to protect that.
27:35 This part here has got to come off.
27:37 And the way you're going to do that is that has to stay the same height as the head at all times.
27:41 We're then going to be using the edges of the blades and then it's a flicking motion.
27:44 So what it gives us is this real soft jagged effect which is called a stroking technique.
27:50 So, here we go.
27:52 Just basically just slice it in and like magic, you really see it now because it's dry.
27:56 You can do it on wet as well. People see me do it on wet hair.
27:59 And then of course it's a moving guide so I just come round this way to 7 o'clock.
28:04 So I'm just going to come round to the other part.
28:07 And then you start to see it as it falls now.
28:10 Again, it's like creating a straight line but it's also very magical.
28:15 And this again, moving round now to 8 o'clock.
28:19 It's quite a quick technique but again you just have to make sure you preserve that length.
28:24 So if we just look at what I'm doing here, you can really sort of see that's all still protected.
28:30 The length's there. We'll come back round now to 5 o'clock.
28:33 Karen Booth says you make it look easy.
28:36 Hello Karen Booth. Great to see you with us tonight. I'm guessing that Ian's there as well.
28:40 Thank you for your very kind words.
28:42 The reason it's easy is because Glenda had to put up with 6 months of watching this on videos
28:47 and having mannequin dolls in the living room. Isn't that right darling?
28:51 And hair all over the floor. But practice makes perfect.
28:56 Which is what it's all about.
28:58 And again, this is nice because it is a layer but it's also a very very soft layer at that.
29:05 And again because we're showcasing it in dry as it's being done and being created, it just makes it interesting.
29:13 So let's just go from now the apex to the mastoid process which is what I should have said earlier on.
29:20 In that respect.
29:22 Now I'm just going to come through the other side just to replicate it.
29:27 That's it.
29:28 So now just bring it through here.
29:31 Got a different camera person now. Everybody, you've got Glenda filming.
29:35 So, hello darling.
29:38 Right, you need to come over this side Baba.
29:41 That's it.
29:43 Come round here. That's it. Nice. Nice camera angle for us.
29:46 So, here we go.
29:47 Just call out anybody that's come on.
29:50 So again, if I can emphasise, keep that to the same height as the head.
29:53 This is the length we're replicating from and then we just carry on.
29:58 And again, it's just really just, it's called a stroking technique.
30:02 So you're literally just stroking it off as it just literally comes into the shape.
30:07 That's it. So now you can see the shape coming through.
30:11 So just move round again.
30:13 Come round to four o'clock.
30:16 Sorry, four o'clock, seven o'clock. That's it.
30:19 It's on the wrong side of the clock from here.
30:22 And then just...
30:23 Baba Billy, you're looking good Summer.
30:25 Thank you, Barbara.
30:27 Nice to see you with us on there.
30:29 I'm guessing Paul's okay as well.
30:32 Like I say, I'll play some Rod Stewart on Saturday night.
30:35 Make sure you bring your CD with you and I'll put it on for you.
30:38 Then I'll get the right track for you this time.
30:41 Alright, my darling.
30:43 So, now we've come through to really stretching it around to the eight o'clock.
30:50 So now we've got the soft edge just there.
30:52 Now we come back through the other way.
30:54 That's it. Now we're going to move back round to five o'clock.
30:58 Again, it's called a travelling guide because what it does is it takes a little bit of weight off the corners
31:04 and gives Summer's hair a really little bit of interest.
31:07 Okay, now we go four o'clock.
31:10 Step back a bit, Baba, and then you can...
31:13 That's the one.
31:15 And again, it's quite easy. It's just a nice...
31:17 It's not planing hair off on a piece of wood.
31:20 It's quite smooth.
31:23 You can just see now. I'll just try and slide it down a bit for you so it's not at show speed.
31:28 That's it. And you can really just see it just glide off as it comes off.
31:31 If you were to put the blade up at the wrong angle, this is what would happen without cutting it.
31:37 You just put it up like that and it just cuts it and it just backcombs.
31:41 So that's not what you're after. You're after it really smooth.
31:43 So the only way you get it smooth is to turn the blade towards the head and cut that way.
31:49 So now we bring the sides in. Who else has come on?
31:51 Derek Gardner.
31:53 Derek Gardner. Great to see you with us tonight, Derek Gardner.
31:55 Really looking forward to seeing you on Saturday night.
31:57 That's what he should say.
31:58 It'd be absolutely brilliant. How bizarre is that? I'm really looking forward to seeing you.
32:01 I hope that Kim's okay.
32:03 It should be really nice to have you with the pleasure of us on Saturday evening.
32:06 I'd like to get you as a friend on Facebook actually.
32:08 So now we're coming through the top part.
32:11 Again, it needs to be the same height as the head as we're doing this part.
32:15 So I can't emphasise how important it is otherwise you get drag.
32:19 If you get drag, it doesn't sit right and it just doesn't look right.
32:22 Okay, here we go then.
32:24 Now we move around 7 o'clock.
32:28 And then just keep it moving so everything sits nice.
32:32 And again, all we're doing now is just bring everything into the mustoid process.
32:35 So at this point now, we're on the corner of the chair or the mustoid process.
32:40 Which then allows the layering to then join from the sides to the back.
32:45 Which then just finishes it off.
32:48 So, that now is the completion of the first part there.
32:51 And we're now going to move back around that way towards you.
32:54 That's it.
32:55 That's it. Here we go then.
32:57 Right, now we're going through to the next part.
32:59 So we move around to 5 o'clock.
33:00 Sorry, you don't need to stand over there, it's fine.
33:03 I'm not going to give you a karate chop.
33:06 I'm Hong Kong filler.
33:09 That's it.
33:10 I'll be asking for a 57 with some Cantonese sauce.
33:14 That's it. Here we go then.
33:16 Sorry.
33:17 Sorry, that's it.
33:19 You fell down.
33:20 I know, that's wrong.
33:22 That's the one.
33:23 Amy Lavender, woo!
33:25 Amy Lavender, woo!
33:27 Your dad's made the vest today.
33:28 I'm really looking forward to seeing it.
33:29 Ben's right there apparently.
33:30 You get a chance.
33:31 Nice to see you, Bam Bam.
33:32 I hope you're okay tonight, Bam Bam.
33:34 Looking forward to training with you on Sunday.
33:37 Okay, so now I'll just lift it up.
33:38 Grant Mitchell Morgan.
33:40 Still remembers you doing Wendy,
33:43 doing Wendy in my mum's hair on the green.
33:46 Oh, that was ages ago.
33:48 All them years ago.
33:49 Keep up your hard work, Scott.
33:51 Thank you, Grant.
33:52 I really appreciate that.
33:53 It was a pleasure to share the stage with you
33:55 a long time ago at the Green King as well.
33:58 Thank you for that.
33:59 Right, so now we're going to go through the top part
34:01 because we're working between two parts here.
34:03 So we'll now be working from the apex
34:05 to the upper occipital bone
34:07 and putting a shape in that area there.
34:09 So let's just move Jenny over to the other side.
34:11 And then what we'll do now is
34:13 we'll put these layers in.
34:14 Again, still keeping it quite soft and strong.
34:18 So the only way we can do this now is elevate it up.
34:21 It needs to be the same as if you were doing a layer.
34:23 And then literally in it goes again
34:26 and soften it off.
34:28 And then all you do then is pivot around to 7 o'clock.
34:32 Exactly the same as before.
34:34 Because again, if you were to cut it at the same height as the head,
34:37 it would create drag which would not look right.
34:40 So if you think of this as doing a rounded layer
34:45 where you're lifting the hair out at a 45 degree angle,
34:48 that's what you're doing with your hands.
34:51 But creating the shape with an orange segment effect,
34:56 which is the only way that you can do this.
34:58 So you have to really work the mechanics of the arms
35:01 in order to get the height.
35:03 So, now come through to this side.
35:07 You should really see it well.
35:09 And then we go through the top layers,
35:10 do a little bit of blending through the front.
35:13 And then literally it's a question of doing
35:16 the last bits of finish, re-emphasise the products.
35:19 And then you'll be able to tune into Coronation Street
35:23 or whatever you've missed tonight.
35:26 Put the children to bed.
35:29 Which of course we're very appreciative
35:31 that you've been able to stay with us tonight
35:34 and watch what we're doing.
35:35 So now we're working on the top part.
35:38 We'll be working with Ross Cunningham's favourite bone in the second,
35:41 which is the parietal ridge, which is literally just here.
35:44 Bring the camera over.
35:46 So the parietal ridge is here, which will divide the haircut.
35:49 So you'll have a square layer first,
35:52 followed by on the parietal ridge, the rounded layer.
35:55 So that's the discipline on this part.
35:58 So again, it's just really important to make sure you've got the height.
36:02 Again, keep it straight.
36:05 Come in with a point cut.
36:07 Now the parietal ridge, turn slightly.
36:11 It's where it says the guide.
36:13 And then literally just come in.
36:14 This is where you've got to watch your fingers.
36:16 Don't worry Maggie, I've got some glue in case I cut myself tonight.
36:21 It's quite rare I do that.
36:23 You watch out, I'm going to cut myself.
36:25 I'm glad you're all off to choir rare and stop looking after me.
36:28 But she looks after me anyway.
36:30 Don't you, Bam Bam?
36:31 Gemma Perrin's joined and Claire Merkert.
36:34 Gemma Perrin.
36:35 Good evening Scott.
36:36 Good evening Gemma.
36:37 Nice to see you with us and do the lady is?
36:39 Claire Merkert I think.
36:41 How are you Claire?
36:42 Nice to see you with us tonight.
36:43 Hope you're okay.
36:45 Hopefully you'll be loving this.
36:47 It's one of your favourite sayings.
36:49 Loving it.
36:50 Hope your mum's okay, if she's watching as well.
36:53 Nice to see you with us as well.
36:56 So yeah, live from her kitchen tonight just for a slight change.
37:01 But yeah, it'll be nice to see you again.
37:03 Hopefully you will.
37:04 Paul Talbot, Brogan Smith.
37:07 Paul Talbot, be good evening.
37:09 Brogan Smith, be good evening also tonight.
37:11 I hope you're well.
37:12 Here comes Dame, I might offer Glenda a little beverage.
37:16 My drink is.
37:17 That's it.
37:19 Okay.
37:20 That's it, keep the camera on.
37:22 That's it.
37:23 Try not to get distracted by your husband, that's it.
37:25 Thanks for that.
37:27 Okay, so again, it's all about the mechanics, making sure that everything's all alright.
37:32 So now we've got, you can see with the layer, it's starting to make everything just fall through nice and smooth.
37:38 That's knocking out that weight, which is what I needed it to do.
37:41 So let's come through to the other side now.
37:44 And we can do the layers over here.
37:47 So again, we're working immediately from nearly at the parietal ridge, coming up into the air, point cutting, that's it.
37:54 I was waiting for the camera.
37:55 That's it.
37:56 Hi there.
37:57 So now we're going to go back up again, just to make sure that all sits perfect.
38:02 And again, it's just a question of just staying in there.
38:05 Now we cross check, because we've got four quadrants to cut from.
38:09 So let's just hold that up in the air, make sure everything's down, there's not any pieces we don't need.
38:15 Somebody's trying to get in.
38:17 There's Cameron, the model from the other night.
38:19 Woo!
38:21 Okay, so now we're lifting it up on this quadrant, coming into the edge, point cut, just to make sure that everything's all okay.
38:32 This is a working kitchen tonight, everybody.
38:35 Right, okay, sit back round here.
38:37 Hi.
38:38 So, if you'd like to follow me over here.
38:42 So now I'm going up in the air again, just to make sure everything's all nice and soft, as you can see.
38:47 Now we come through to the other part, that's it.
38:51 Just to make sure we're there.
38:53 Again, just keeping all the sections nice and clean while we're doing this.
38:56 Again, it's really important to keep all your sectioning really tidy.
39:01 And then it's really now just a question of on the bottom.
39:04 This is called funning around as you're doing this, because you're turning the hair as you're doing it.
39:08 So just literally just point in there, so that's moving, and that takes off all the edges and keeps the whole thing soft.
39:16 Go through this part again, exactly the same technique.
39:20 There's a lot of work in this.
39:21 People don't realise what goes into a haircut, because it's quite a technical sort of way of working.
39:28 But again, you can really sort of see that the difference is it makes everything look soft and natural.
39:33 Hi.
39:34 That's it.
39:36 So you can sort of see what's happening.
39:39 I'll just move around to this piece.
39:42 That's it.
39:43 Just make sure everything sits good.
39:44 We'll go back through the products again in a minute and just make sure that everything is all emphasised again.
39:50 Because again, the MUC products really tonight have showcased just how smooth someone's hair can look.
39:55 With everything on here, from using the Style Stick, Wild Plate, through to the shampoo that we've used, and the styling products also.
40:05 So now I'm going to use the razor just to do the last part.
40:10 So I'll just pick up a little piece now.
40:12 Again, this is really important to elevate on this part and then just really stroke that through.
40:17 All this will do now is just really soften the edges off.
40:20 Again, it's a very visual effect, so you just have to make sure that everything just sits nice and works.
40:26 You just have to make sure when you comb it, like now, that you're combing it with the right piece,
40:30 otherwise it makes it really quite difficult.
40:32 Otherwise you take too much hair off, which is what you're not supposed to.
40:36 So you can now see that sits quite nice.
40:38 It's got a bit of movement in it as well.
40:40 You can really see those layers.
40:41 Again, later on in the photos, when we take the pictures of Summer's hair,
40:45 we'll be able to really showcase everything that's on there, which will really make a big difference.
40:49 Right, let's come round to this side.
40:51 Now, looking at this part here, we've got just a little bit of body just through there.
40:57 So what I'm going to do in a moment is I'm going to take a fringe through this part, a tiny fringe.
41:02 Then I'll take the weight out of here.
41:04 Then I'll use a convex layer with a rounded pair of scissors, and that will just make a big difference.
41:09 Is that a bit OK over there?
41:11 Excellent.
41:12 So let's just put the fringe in first.
41:15 So let's just take the section out and then literally just...
41:21 That's nice.
41:24 Just to make sure everything just sits good.
41:26 Again, this fringe has got to be really perfect.
41:28 We call this a lunchtime fringe.
41:30 Can we just come round the other side?
41:33 If you want to, if you cannot see.
41:35 Just remember what you see, everybody else can see.
41:37 That's it.
41:38 Just give me a bit of elbow room.
41:39 It's going to show, isn't it?
41:41 That's fine.
41:43 Pay attention, like a parrot.
41:45 That's it.
41:46 That's good.
41:47 Thank you.
41:48 And again, this just blends it through just to make sure that everything just sits in nice in that fringe.
41:54 Right, so let's just now use the razor to take a bit of weight off someone else.
41:57 Just come on.
41:58 Oh, Andy Hardy said that he wants his hair like Cameron's, my son.
42:02 That's fine.
42:03 We'll do that for you, Andy.
42:04 No problem at all.
42:05 It's not far off it now, but I'll do that for you.
42:08 That's fine.
42:09 With pleasure.
42:10 All right, big mate.
42:11 If that's how you like it.
42:12 Amy Labrador, Ben says hi.
42:15 Hi, Ben.
42:16 Hi, Amy.
42:17 I'm sure Glenda will say hello to Bam Bam as well.
42:20 Oh, yeah.
42:21 Oh, yeah.
42:22 That's it.
42:23 Okay, so now I'm going to use the curved pair of scissors just to make this quite interesting.
42:29 So you've got a curve one way and a curve the other.
42:31 So you've got convex, convex.
42:34 Okay, so you've got convex, concave.
42:37 So it's just slightly bent.
42:39 So I'm just going to use the convex shape now just to give us a bit more shape on the fringe.
42:46 So as it is cut, it will then blend into the rest of the haircut onto the face, which again is something quite different.
42:55 So you can just see that just now fades in perfect into the rest of the haircut.
43:00 Just come through this side.
43:04 Just do the same.
43:06 That's it.
43:08 Just to make sure it just looks nice.
43:11 Again, it's all about finger positioning, cutting to the second knuckle because again it's all the discipline on what you need.
43:18 Right, so everything's all done now, which is nice.
43:23 We're going to introduce our next product into the family tonight.
43:29 We're going to use the hair lacquer, Mook hair lacquer this evening.
43:35 So what we'll do is we'll just put a little bit of spray into the roots.
43:39 Move it with the fingers just to give it a little bit of body.
43:43 Just through there.
43:45 And then as we come to finish off, I've got one more trick.
43:52 Pull out the bag.
43:54 [Christina and Mike]
43:59 Great to see you with us.
44:01 Right, here comes your last little trick.
44:03 Let's bring the camera around over here.
44:06 Thank you. Right, so everything stays where it is.
44:11 Okay, so as you can see you've got a little bit of emphasis just there.
44:15 Everybody sit real still.
44:17 Here we go.
44:20 Just use the clippers now just to soften out the line just a little bit more.
44:25 Can't really slip on this bit, otherwise it would be a bit of a nightmare.
44:29 Please do some more.
44:32 Claire Hill's doing it.
44:33 Claire Hill, great to see you with us tonight.
44:35 Hope for the champs there with you also at Burbage.
44:38 Great to see you with us. Claire was one of our models recently.
44:42 So again, just to re-emphasise this again.
44:45 That looks lovely, doesn't it?
44:47 Put the clippers in there, soften it out.
44:50 You sound really surprised.
44:51 No, I just sit straight on.
44:53 Thanks.
44:55 So now just put the clippers on.
44:59 Soften it all off.
45:00 Can't really make any mistakes.
45:04 That's it, there we go.
45:07 Okay, so that's the product for the evening.
45:14 We're going to use the hot milk.
45:16 This is the finishing serum that we're going to put into the hair now.
45:19 So this basically will make the hair look really smooth just to finish out.
45:25 So just literally it's a question now.
45:27 Mustafa.
45:29 I'm Mustafa, yes, from Men's Street Hair.
45:32 Great to see you with us tonight.
45:33 I hope you're well.
45:35 Nice to see you, brother.
45:37 Okay, so I'm now just putting this through just to finish off.
45:40 And you can really see just how it works through there.
45:44 That looks really nice.
45:45 The idea is everything looks shiny, smooth, sleek.
45:49 Again, you'll see all these on the pictures later when we do everything.
45:56 Okay, so now just for one more little trick just to finish off.
46:00 I just need an assistant.
46:06 Thank you, darling.
46:08 So this is a knife.
46:11 If you stand where you are, it's fine.
46:13 So the last part of the trick is to get all the hair, twist it up.
46:23 Just like you get a very different finish, put a square on it, hair lacquer, hold it up for a second, let it down.
46:32 And as you shake it off, it gives it even more body and even more movement, which is what you get in a magazine look.
46:39 I use this technique a lot.
46:41 So that very natural lifting look, you can really see the layers come out.
46:46 So the idea is we just showcase what the layers look like and you can see everything on there.
46:52 So let's just have a little recap on what happened here tonight.
46:57 Let's just take the gown off first because I should imagine Summer's dying to get it off.
47:02 Stand up for a moment, Summer.
47:04 It's painful.
47:05 That's it.
47:06 So this is what happened.
47:08 We started tonight with, to begin with, we went into with the blonde toning shampoo first of all.
47:15 We then used the one minute treatment afterwards to re-emphasise the blonde hair on Summer's hair and really rejuvenate everything that was going on with it.
47:24 We then went in with the Fat Muck blowout mousse, which then gave us a cutting lotion to work from.
47:29 We then worked with, afterwards, the Kinky Muck leave-in moisturising conditioner, which of course is designed for curly hair.
47:41 We then did the blow-dry with the beard oil on and then we went in with the haircut, which is when you joined us tonight.
47:47 So we started with the one month haircut first of all, which was cut through with the planer.
47:53 And Marie-Axe is asking what the Hot Muck's for.
47:55 The Hot Muck is a finishing product. It's a good question, actually.
47:58 It's a serum which you can use to blow-dry with or you can use it to finish off with.
48:02 It's the same really as a serum, but it really controls the hair a lot better and gives it shine and really makes it soft.
48:08 I mean, this feels unbelievably soft.
48:10 When I am, see you next time, I'll put it on your hair and then you can see.
48:13 So, did the straight line on the back, cut through with a comb, which is like a ruler.
48:19 We then came through the sides and used a razor blade, which then gave us a C-shaped curvature.
48:24 Which is then, as I said, we have a disconnection in the bottom, which we then joined that into it and gave us a shape.
48:29 We then came through the back and did the stroking technique where we lifted everything up in the hair to follow the shape of the head.
48:36 Came round and cut to the mustoid process and then went back round to the mustoid process on the other side,
48:41 using time as the dictator of the haircut to give us the layers with the shape.
48:47 We then went from the apex to the upper occipital bone to then give us more shape,
48:52 so that would give us more body on the top to finish off that part of the layer.
48:55 We then came through the top, cutting a square layer through to a rounded layer,
48:59 using the parietal ridge as a dividing point to make that haircut.
49:03 So then it started to round in just here and give us that really strong shape coming through.
49:08 We then cut a fringe in, a very subtle fringe just there,
49:12 and then razored that out to start blending all of this area in around the temple.
49:16 We then joined in with the convex layer with the curved scissors to then give us that final piece that joined it.
49:24 We also went through the back to soften that through and then used the Hot Moc Styling Serum
49:31 and then also the hairspray to then give us the final look.
49:35 The last trick was to twist the hair real tight and shake it off and give us some real more natural,
49:41 lived-in look, which I'm sure you'll agree, Summer's been a great model tonight.
49:45 It's been a really, really nice transformation.
49:47 I mean, when you saw the beginning with the style stick, how we got one side set up perfectly
49:52 and the other side obviously wasn't so perfect, so you could really see how we'd worked Summer's hair tonight.
49:57 Well done, Summer, you've been an absolute brilliant model tonight.
49:59 Thank you.
50:00 Later on we'll come in with the photos very shortly after we end this transmission tonight.
50:06 We'll then do the photos and then showcase to you how everything worked.
50:10 Thank you very much to our sponsors tonight.
50:12 Katie Barker said, "Oh my God, enjoying your live feeds."
50:16 Thank you, Katie Barker.

51:44 How do I turn it off?
51:46 How do I turn it off? How do I turn it off?
