00:00 Hey guys, thank you so much for watching.
00:08 So today I'm going to be showing y'all how to highlight and contour with drugstore products.
00:14 I have been asked by many people what I use, how I do it, and so I figured why not show
00:21 y'all my secrets and what I do to get a really good highlight and contour.
00:29 So if you are interested in learning how to do it, please keep watching.
00:36 Start off by applying a moisturizer to your face.
00:38 This allows your makeup to stay on longer, prevents your skin from getting oily, and
00:42 your makeup from flaking off.
00:44 You want to take a BB cream on a flat top foundation brush and apply that all over.
00:49 This fixes any redness or blemishes that are on your skin.
00:54 Taking a wet beauty blender, blend in all the BB cream.
00:57 Make sure that you don't forget about your hairline, your nose, and your neck.
01:11 Taking a foundation that is a couple shades darker than your skin tone, apply this to
01:15 the natural shadows of your face.
01:17 I am using the NYX Mineral Foundation Stick.
01:21 I find it easier to use rather than a liquid foundation, just because you can control how
01:26 much goes on your face and where it goes.
01:39 Applying the foundation along your jawline and underneath your neck gives the illusion
01:44 of a more chiseled face and hides a double chin.
01:54 Using a concealer, apply this to where the light naturally hits your face.
01:59 I am using a color correcting concealer from NYX.
02:28 Don't forget to highlight and contour your nose.
02:30 Make sure that when you apply the concealer, that you apply it right on the bridge of your
02:34 nose.
02:35 This draws the light to the middle of it, making it look slimmer.
02:42 Taking a concealer in a lighter shade, I am going over what I just applied.
02:51 Using a flat top foundation brush, you just want to rub everything in that we've already
02:56 applied.
02:58 This is going to make blending it in easier.
03:20 Using a wet beauty blender, make sure that you blend everything in well.
03:25 You don't want any lines left over, so make sure that you get around your hairline, nose,
03:29 and under your chin.
03:34 Taking a translucent powder, you just want to pat this on the areas that we just highlighted.
03:40 We are going to let this oxidize on our face for about 5 minutes.
03:44 By doing that, it is going to create a brighter finish once everything is brushed off.
04:00 Taking a powder that is a couple shades darker than your skin tone, you want to apply this
04:04 to the areas that we contoured.
04:07 Leave this on your face for 5 minutes as well.
04:27 Using that same dark powder, you want to put that on your fingers and run it along the
04:31 edges of your nose.
04:33 This is a lot easier than using a brush to contour with.
04:37 And it gives you the same result.
04:42 Now you can brush everything off.
05:01 Using a matte bronzer, apply this to the areas that you contoured.
05:26 Alright guys, so that is it.
05:28 That is how you highlight and contour using drugstore products.
05:32 If you liked the video, be sure to give me a thumbs up and also subscribe if you want
05:37 to because that would be great.
05:39 And anyway, thank you guys so much.
