00:00 Hi, welcome back to another episode of Bake and Make. I'm Angela Kopecky. Today I'm going
00:07 to be showing you how to make this makeup cake. First we're going to start off by making
00:14 the eye shadow. You need to roll out some black fondant. We're going to be using a 5
00:21 cm square cutter. You need to cut out one square piece. Then we're going to be using
00:29 a 2 cm round cutter. We're going to cut out four circles from that square piece there.
00:43 Now I've got four colors here and we're going to roll out a light pink. We're going to use
00:50 that 2 cm round cutter. We're going to cut out a circle from each color there. Same with
01:02 the pink one and one peach one there. Now what we're going to do is we're going to take
01:13 some sugar glue or water and we're just going to brush the inside of those circles there.
01:20 We're going to place all four circles inside that black piece there. Now we're going to
01:36 make the little brush and we're going to roll out a long piece of black fondant and just
01:40 measure it up against that section there. I'm going to take two small white balls and
01:49 we'll just place some sugar glue on the side and we'll just roll that out with a little
01:54 point and we'll stick one on that side and we'll do the same with the other side as well.
02:12 Now we're going to make the blush section. You need to roll out a pink piece of fondant
02:18 and I'm using a 4 cm round cutter there. So we'll just roll out four different colors
02:28 there. Now roll out some black fondant and using a 5 cm cutter we're going to cut out
02:55 four circles. Now we'll take our circle cutter from before and we're going to just cut out
03:14 the inside of those circles there. Now we're going to take some sugar glue or water and
03:29 we're just going to spread the sugar glue around that circle there and we'll take that
03:36 ring there and we'll place it over and around. Now we're going to make the powder section
03:46 now. Now we'll just roll out a light peach color and using a 4.5 cm round cutter we're
04:00 going to cut out that circle there. Roll out some orange fondant and using the same round
04:14 cutter we'll cut out another circle. Roll out some black fondant and using a 5 cm square
04:36 cutter cut out one square and we're going to take our 4.5 cm cutter, place it in the
04:44 center there and cut out a circle. Take some sugar glue and on the orange piece we're just
04:55 going to spread some sugar glue around that circle there. We'll take our black piece and
05:04 we'll place it around that circle there. Now you need to make two brushes and I've rolled
05:14 out some black fondant, some gray fondant there and I've cut them down and just two
05:20 orange circles and just using some sugar glue just stick those pieces together
05:33 and just squash down the round part there. Take a sharp knife and we're just going to
05:43 cut that top section there to give it the brush look. Now you need to roll out two pink
06:04 pieces and this is going to be for the pencils. Take some ivory fondant and just roll that
06:11 out for the front part of the pencil and glue that on there. Same with the other one. Just
06:18 take a small piece of pink fondant for the front tip of the pencil and we'll just place
06:23 some of that at the front there. This is going to be for the lipstick and you need to make
06:34 three of these. So just roll out some black fondant and do the same with some gray fondant.
06:44 Just roll that out. Take a knife and cut that part off. Take some sugar glue and we'll stick
06:57 that piece on to the black part. Take some pink fondant and roll that out and this is
07:07 going to be the top part of the lipstick. I'm just using a ruler. Take a knife and we'll
07:14 cut that on an angle there. Just glue that on with some sugar glue and leave that to
07:23 dry. Now you need to bake a 7 inch cake and I've baked one here with four layers. What
07:31 we're going to do is we're going to stick those layers to a cake board there. I'm using
07:38 white chocolate ganache today. You can use buttercream. You need to spread the ganache
07:44 on the board. We'll take the first layer and we'll place that on the board there and just
07:55 fill each layer with the ganache. I'm using chocolate ganache here and I've just spread
08:01 some around the outside and on the top. I'm using a scraper to get the even edges around
08:08 there and just finish it off there. Now I'm using pink fondant today and you need to sprinkle
08:21 down some icing sugar or corn flour and roll out the fondant. Gently lift that and place
08:28 it over the cake. Make sure to secure the edges first so they don't tear. Take a knife
08:38 and we're going to cut that excess fondant off. Take a smoother and we're going to smooth
08:49 the top and the sides of the cake. Now I've covered a 12 inch board with some white fondant
08:57 and I've placed a ribbon around it. I'm going to use some roll icing now. I'm just going
09:01 to put some in the center there and we're going to spread that out there. We're going
09:06 to secure the cake onto the board there. So just lift it up and place it in the center
09:12 there. I've placed a ribbon around the bottom section there and I've cut out a message there
09:21 with this cutter. You can buy these cutters from any cake decorating supply and just stick
09:26 them on the board there. What I've done here is I've just used an edible marker and I've
09:34 drawn on some text there. What we're going to do is we're going to take some sugar glue
09:41 or water and we're going to stick our little figurines onto the cake. Just place a little
09:47 bit of sugar glue underneath and then position the figurines however you think will look
09:55 good on the cake. Again there, we'll just place some underneath and we'll stick them
10:00 on. Place a few on the board as well and just do that with all of them. And there we go,
10:15 our beautiful makeup cake. As you can see by the video, it's quite an easy cake to make.
10:21 If you allow the figurines to dry overnight, they're easier to handle. So thanks for watching
10:26 the video and please feel free to subscribe to my channel. I look forward to showing you
10:32 another video again. Thanks for watching. Bye bye.
