00:03 This is our latest update on the storm we are monitoring,

00:07 which is the Egye Storm, which is an international storm this Monday.

00:13 In our latest satellite images, we can see that it is undergoing rapid intensification.

00:21 The storm Egye suddenly intensified and we were able to see that it is 565 kilometers away from Baler in Aurora.

00:29 This is the strongest storm that can reach 140 kilometers per hour.

00:33 It is also close to 170 kilometers per hour.

00:37 As you can see, this storm Egye is moving rapidly at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour.

00:43 And because of the storm Egye, it is still intensifying the wind.

00:47 So even though the storm Egye has no direct effect,

00:51 we still expect that it will be possible for it to rain,

00:54 particularly in the western Visayas and southern Luzon where the wind is strong.

01:01 Meanwhile, in the eastern section of Luzon and Visayas,

01:05 the storm Egye is the most affected and it will bring rain this day.

01:11 Here is the latest track of the storm Egye.

01:16 As you can see, in our latest track, it is moving slowly,

01:20 but eventually, we expect that the storm Egye will move to the northwest.

01:25 Based on our prediction, it is still possible for the storm to landfall

01:32 or at least it will approach the land of Babuyan Islands and Batanes area

01:40 between tomorrow night until Wednesday afternoon.

01:45 This part that I am showing you is from Tuesday to Wednesday afternoon,

01:55 the storm Egye is the closest to the land of Luzon.

02:00 This is why this place is called the forecast confidence cone.

02:04 It is possible that the track of this storm will move southward or closer to the land.

02:10 That is why the area of Cagayan Valley, particularly the province of Cagayan,

02:16 as well as Apayaw and Ilocos Norte,

02:19 our countrymen should be careful and prepare for it.

02:23 Because tomorrow night until Wednesday afternoon,

02:29 the impact of this storm Egye will be the most experienced.

02:33 So I hope our countrymen will prepare for this part of our country.

02:38 Meanwhile, we are still seeing that the storm Egye is possible to reach the super typhoon category.

02:46 Except that we are seeing that the storm Egye is still possible to land in the Luzon area.

02:52 If that happens, it may not reach the super typhoon category.

02:58 Even so, whether it is a super typhoon or not,

03:01 the storm Egye is still possible to experience strong winds in this particular area where the extreme northern Luzon will pass.

03:11 We are also hoping that the Philippine Air Force's responsibility may be released on the day of Thursday,

03:22 Meanwhile, these are the places where our tropical cyclone wind signal is high.

03:28 Signal number 2 in the southeastern portion of Isabela, particularly in Palanan and Dinapigue.

03:33 And also in the northeastern portion of Catanduanes,

03:35 these are the towns of Pandan, Bagamanok, Panganiban, Viga, and Guigmoto.

03:41 In these places, it is possible to experience strong winds, particularly in the next 24 hours.

03:47 Signal number 1 in Batanes, Cagayan, along with Baboyan Island, in the southern part of Isabela,

03:53 Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Apayau, Calinga, Abra, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Benguet,

04:01 almost the entire Cordillera Administrative Region, is signal number 1.

04:06 Also in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and the northern part of Pangasinan.

04:11 Meanwhile, our signal number 1 is high in the northern eastern portion of Nueva Vizcija,

04:16 northern and southeastern portion of Quezon, along with Polilio Islands,

04:20 Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and the southern part of Catanduanes, Albay, Sorosogon, and Masbate.

04:26 For more details on the towns where signal number 1 is high,

04:35 All the towns where signal number 1 is high are listed there.

04:40 Meanwhile, signal number 1 is also high in northern Samar, eastern Samar, Samar, and Biliran.

04:46 Again, as I mentioned earlier, we will monitor the possibility of a further storm.

04:51 So, these are the other places where the signal number 1 is high,

04:55 and it is possible that it will increase in the next updates here in Pagasa.

05:00 These are the expected rains that will be brought by the storm Egay.

05:05 This is the part of Catanduanes and the northern part of Camarines Sur and Camarines Norte.

05:10 Today, it will be raining.

05:12 Meanwhile, tomorrow, on Tuesday, we expect heavy rains, particularly in Cagayan,

05:18 and also in some parts of Ilocos Region, including Cordillera Administrative Region.

05:23 So, we can see that in general, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley Region, and Ilocos Region

05:30 will be the most affected by this storm Egay because it is approaching the storm that we are monitoring.

05:36 On Wednesday, Batanes, Baguio, and Ilocos Norte will have heavy rains

05:41 while the parts of Abra, Ilocos Rapaiao, and other parts of Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, and Cordillera will experience heavy rains.

05:52 There are places that will not be affected directly by the storm,

05:57 but as I mentioned, the places of Mimaropa, Calabarzon, Camanilan, and Central Luzon,

06:03 we will experience heavy rains in the next two days,

06:06 especially on Tuesday and Wednesday, when it will be very windy.

06:11 So, we still expect that on the next two days, particularly on Tuesday and Wednesday,

06:15 there will be heavy rains in Western Visayas, Bicol Region, Southern Luzon,

06:21 including Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Camanilan, and Central Luzon.

06:26 In these places, it is possible that there will be floods and landslides,

06:30 so we need to be careful and prepared.

06:33 As I mentioned, it is still possible for us to have a tropical cyclone,

06:38 wind signal number 4 or number 5, especially when it reaches the super typhoon category.

06:43 And here, we have a high-level gale warning.

06:46 These are the places where we expect that the sea will be sandy.

06:50 Small boats and small boats are dangerous to sail.

06:53 Particularly in Cagayan, along with the Mabuyan Islands, Isabela, Aurora,

06:57 Quezon, Polillo Islands, Marinduque, Romblon, Masbate, Burrias,
