00:14 Welcome back to another segment of Teach Me Like I'm 5.
00:16 I'm so excited to have Tim Grover here in studio.
00:19 How you doing Tim?
00:20 I'm excellent.
00:21 Thank you for taking the time
00:22 and teaching us a few key critical things.
00:25 So Tim, Teach Me Like I'm 5,
00:27 how do I build a tough mindset?
00:30 How do you build a tough mindset if you're five years old?
00:34 When you're five years old,
00:35 or for either individuals here,
00:37 here's the thing that we forget, all right?
00:39 Still have childlike moments, but don't be childish.
00:46 We oftentimes, we forget how to be a kid.
00:50 We forget how to have fun.
00:52 Having a tough mindset is enjoying who you are.
00:56 It's understanding who you are.
00:57 It's being able to have those moments,
01:00 laugh at yourself, enjoy things with people.
01:04 So a mindset, it can be chaotic at times,
01:09 but laughter allows you to turn that chaos into clarity.
01:17 And when I'm talking about laughter,
01:18 it's being able to laugh at yourself
01:20 and not take things so seriously.
01:23 'Cause as kids, kids don't take things so seriously,
01:27 especially when they're five.
01:29 Teach me like I'm five, what does it mean to be relentless?
01:32 What does it mean to be relentless?
01:35 Demand more of yourself
01:36 than anybody else will demand of you.
01:38 Your obligation to yourself has to be greater
01:41 than anybody else's obligation to you.
01:44 I can't want it more for you than you want it for yourself.
01:49 And finally, teach me like I'm five,
01:52 how should I leverage the dark side?
01:54 Well, first you got to understand what your dark side is.
01:57 All right.
01:58 And everybody has one.
02:00 Everybody has one.
02:02 So the first, and this is not about Star Wars.
02:05 This isn't about vampires.
02:08 This is about what fuels you.
02:10 This is what's special to you.
02:12 The dark side is what keeps you going
02:14 when you're in the worst possible situation.
02:21 It fuels you.
02:23 It says there's going to be a win.
02:26 There's going to be an end to this.
02:28 It's that internal flame
02:30 that you control that nobody else can touch.
02:37 - Thank you so much for tuning in
