We took to the streets in a city near you to find out all about your summer plans despite the washout.

00:18 Um, it's actually, I think it's been warmer than usual. I did a bit of travel because
00:21 I wasn't home too much but yeah, it's not too bad. It's been a bit wet but that's about
00:26 it.
00:27 It's just right now it's horrible British weather. Every year it's the same.
00:34 We might be notorious across the world for our rainy weather here in the UK, but what
00:37 happened to the heatwaves of the last few years and even back in June of this year?
00:42 And are our fortunes going to change? Experts say not. Forecasters are predicting the dreary
00:48 weather will continue for the rest of this month, caused by a series of low pressure
00:52 systems above the UK which have been held in place by a blocked weather pattern, say
00:56 the Met Office.
00:57 The weather like influences me a lot. My decision was originally it was about travel to France
01:04 this summer. But I feel like the weather report from the news, I knew that the weather is
01:10 extremely hot there. So I decided to stay and I spent two weeks back in my hometown
01:15 last month and it's just so nice like having, staying at home just relying, lying on the
01:22 bed and with the air conditioner, like the temperature is perfect.
01:27 We're from the Netherlands. So we're used to this kind of weather. And actually, I said
01:31 to Rick, this is like a Glaswegian summer, right? It's not raining. It's warm. So that's
01:37 fine. So no, we're not disappointed because we're used to it.
01:40 Oh no, it's just lousy, isn't it? Totally. I mean, I have, I have had two weeks in Tenerife.
01:46 So I've boosted my tan a bit, you know, but that's the first holiday I've had since the
01:52 Covid. Yeah. So I enjoyed it.
01:56 No, I mean, I was still this year, still rather be in this country. It's such a nice country.

02:19 It's been pretty hot for a while, but then it's just kind of raining recently. So I've
02:22 not really had to cancel anything.
02:23 I feel like Scottish people I met just yesterday have been like bipolar. So I feel like if
02:29 it was tourists then probably, but I'd say we're used to the weather now.

02:38 think I've had to cancel any plans. I mean, I had thought about going into town the other
02:42 week. I had to go for drinks, but the weather was, it was just constant rain. That was awful.
