Lonely bunny falls in love with first girl he sees

00:04 Someone had seen him running around about the time after Easter.

00:08 He could be an unwanted Easter pet.

00:18 We had been fostering and we were able to take in Bim and just immediately fell in love.

00:23 Bim has one ear that's up and one ear that's down.

00:26 He's like a half-lob.

00:29 He gets skittish sometimes.

00:31 After Bim, we took a short break just to settle in and then Bambi came along as the next foster.

00:41 Bambi, she was also found on the street as a stray.

00:45 So, fosters and their own bunnies aren't supposed to interact but that was a rookie mistake that we let Bim see Bambi through the playpen.

00:52 They immediately just started grooming each other.

00:58 I told my partner, "You have to keep them separate."

01:00 But he was sneaky. When I was born, he let them interact even more, which I would recommend doing that.

01:05 But they were perfect together.

01:07 Bambi is the cheeky one of the two.

01:17 She can be really, really cheeky when she wants to be.

01:21 She's a bit of a cat personality.

01:23 She doesn't want to let you know that she likes you.

01:26 She's very alert. She's very smart.

01:28 She knows what she's doing.

01:31 Whereas Bim, he just hopes for the best.

01:33 He just follows Bambi around everywhere.

01:38 We've always joked that he has no personality of his own because he's always just following Bambi.

01:43 They're under the TV unit at the moment because that's their favorite spot.

01:50 But they do still sleep out in the open sometimes.

01:52 It's very heartwarming to see where they just lie there out in the open because it means they trust us.

01:57 They both know their names. They're both trained.

01:59 They just go in their little cabinet.

02:01 I've always loved bunnies as a kid just because I was born in the year of the rabbit, in the Chinese zodiac.

02:09 I just think of them as my spirit animal.

02:11 I'm now realizing that Bim, at the time when he was showing us a lot of affection and really wanting our attention,

02:19 it was because he was craving a friend.

02:21 But once he bonded with Bambi, that all stopped.

02:24 He doesn't kiss us anymore.

02:25 He doesn't like being picked up, but he loves his floor cuddles.

02:28 And every night he'll look at me and be like, "Are you going to cuddle me before bed?"

02:31 And I'll hug him on the floor for a while before he goes to bed.

02:34 But they prefer each other.

02:35 They can communicate in the ways that we humans aren't able to communicate.

02:39 I'm really happy that they have each other.
