00:00 Hi and welcome back to another episode of Screenbabel Weekend Watch.
00:02 I'm National World Digital Trends Writer and I'll be taking you through the best TV shows
00:07 and films to watch on TV and streaming platforms this weekend and beyond.
00:12 To kick things off we've got a show that will already have landed by the time you see this.
00:16 Ahsoka Season 1 is the new Disney+ Star Wars spin-off, one of many Star Wars spin-offs
00:23 they're creating in the expanding universe.
00:25 The first two episodes landed on Wednesday the 23rd, but the episode 3 will be airing
00:34 next Wednesday on the 30th, with six episodes in total airing weekly.
00:40 So the series follows the Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano following the collapse of the Galactic
00:47 Empire as she investigates a new threat to a now vulnerable galaxy.
00:53 Then on Friday the 25th we have You Are So Not Invited To My Bar Mitzvah.
00:58 This is an Adam Sandler comedy series.
01:01 It follows a woman, Stacey Friedman, who prepares for her bar mitzvah but plans comedically
01:08 unravel and threaten to ruin the landmark event.
01:13 It stars Adam Sandler as well as his wife Jackie and their children Sadie and Sonny.
01:18 So a couple more nepo babies coming through the ranks there, and that's on Netflix on
01:24 Friday.
01:25 Then also on Friday is The Dive.
01:27 This is out exclusively in cinemas.
01:30 It's a sort of horror thriller film, think 127 hours but underwater.
01:34 It's basically two sisters go diving at a beautiful location.
01:39 One of the sisters is struck by a rock and trapped 28 meters below the water's surface
01:44 with her oxygen levels running out and cold temperatures creeping in.
01:50 It's a race against time for her sister to save her life.
01:54 On Sunday the 27th we have The Woman In The Wall, a BBC One series.
01:59 This is a thriller, follows Lorna Brady who wakes up one morning to find a corpse in the
02:05 wall of her house with no idea who the woman is or how she got there.
02:09 She begins to doubt herself as she has suffered with extreme bouts of sleepwalking throughout
02:13 her life and worries that maybe she has become a killer.
02:17 The first episode airs at five past nine on Sunday the 27th with episodes airing weekly,
02:23 six episodes in the series.
02:25 They will also be available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
02:28 Then on Tuesday the 29th we have Selling Super Houses, a new series, six episode series on
02:34 Channel 4.
02:37 This follows a London-born property magnate, Paul Kemsley, who has returned from Beverly
02:44 Hills and is planning to take over London's supreme luxurious property market with the
02:51 help of some new estate agents.
02:54 So that will air on Channel 4 at 9pm on Tuesday, six episodes airing weekly.
02:59 Then lastly we have Star Trek Lower Decks, season one to three.
03:02 They're coming to Paramount Plus on Tuesday the 29th.
03:06 It's an adult animated comedy series which first aired in 2020 and it follows the support
03:11 crew of one of the lesser known Starship fleets.
03:14 So that will definitely be worth a watch for any Star Trek fans, something a little bit
03:18 different from the Star Trek universe.
03:21 Well that's all from me, thanks very much for listening to another episode of Weekend
03:25 Watch.
03:26 I'm Jamie again next week for more Weekend Watch recommendations.
03:29 Thanks very much.
