00:00 Hi and welcome back to another episode of Screen Babble Weekend Watch.
00:03 I'm Stephen, National World's Digital Trends Writer,
00:05 and I'll be taking you through what to watch this weekend and beyond in film and TV.
00:11 Kicking things off on Friday the 10th of November, we have 007 The Road to a Million,
00:17 which is the James Bond-style quiz show I discussed in the main podcast.
00:20 Go back and listen to that if you haven't already.
00:23 All eight episodes will be dropping on one go on Friday on Amazon Prime.
00:26 It features Brian Cox as the mysterious controller and quiz master,
00:31 who puts various pairs of contestants through their paces
00:37 as they travel across various locations looking for a suitcase with a quiz question inside,
00:45 and then answering multiple choice questions in the hopes of winning up to a million pounds.
00:51 Also on Friday, for all mankind, comes to Apple TV,
00:55 the sci-fi alternate history show about the 'what if' the space race never ended is its premise,
01:04 returns for a fourth season which will be set in 2003,
01:08 with humanity settled on Mars, mining for valuable minerals from asteroids.
01:15 Tensions will then arise over the value of said minerals.
01:20 There's 10 episodes in this series and they'll be airing on Fridays weekly.
01:25 Again on Friday, The Killer, which is out in cinemas and is also discussed in the main podcast.
01:30 It really is a great episode, so do go back and watch it.
01:33 The David Fincher hitman thriller movie comes to Netflix again on Friday.
01:40 The movie's about Michael Fassbender's hitman character who,
01:45 after a near miss on an important job, has his boss seek retribution on him,
01:53 and then he in turn goes on a vengeful quest for revenge,
01:57 taking on anyone who stands in his way.
01:59 Very, very good Fincher movie.
02:02 And then another film, again on Friday, is the latest MCU movie, The Marvels.
02:07 This hits cinemas on Friday.
02:10 It's essentially a sequel to Captain Marvel, as well as the series Ms. Marvel and WandaVision.
02:16 It features Kamala Khan, Monica Rambeau and Carol Danvers,
02:23 the three titular heroes from the movie and TV series,
02:27 as they work together to once again save the universe.
02:30 Who says Marvel fatigue exists?
02:33 And then on Saturday we have The Curse.
02:36 This is a new Paramount+ comedy series.
02:39 It's kind of a genre-bending comedy-drama,
02:42 and it explores how an alleged curse disturbs the relationship of a newly married couple
02:49 whilst they try to conceive a child, whilst also starring in their own TV show.
02:55 There's 10 episodes in this very strange series,
02:58 and they'll be airing on Saturdays weekly on Paramount+.
03:02 Lastly on Sunday we have Bill Bailey's Australian Adventure coming to Channel 4.
03:07 The travel documentary series follows the comedian Bill Bailey, naturally,
03:11 as he travels across Western Australia.
03:14 It's kind of an idiot abroad, but a more optimistic approach to that.
03:19 There's four episodes in the series, and they'll be airing on Channel 4 at 9pm weekly,
03:23 and will be available to watch on Channel 4 Online after they've first aired.
03:28 So there's plenty to watch this week.
03:29 I would definitely recommend The Killer.
03:32 That's definitely one to watch.
03:34 But join me again next week for more Weekend Watch recommendations.
03:38 Thanks very much.
