00:00 Hi and welcome to another episode of Screenbabel Weekend Watch with me Stephen, National World's
00:04 Digital Trends Writer. I'll be talking you through what's on streaming and TV this weekend
00:08 and beyond so that you don't miss out on the top shows coming out. So on Friday we have
00:13 a fairly Netflix-centric day, this is Friday the 3rd of November. Blue-Eyed Samurai follows
00:20 a master swordsman who lives his life in disguise while seeking revenge in the Edo period of
00:27 Japan. Naturally it's an anime series, it comes to Netflix all 8 episodes on the 3rd
00:34 of November. Then we have a feature documentary, Sly, all about the rocky and expendable star
00:42 Sly Stallone or Sylvester Stallone. It will look back at his 50 years in the acting business
00:48 as well as his personal life and his rags to riches story from when he got the role
00:53 of Rocky to his multi-million dollar deals further down the line. Also appearing in the
01:00 documentary to talk about the star are fellow actor Anle Schwarzenegger, director Quentin
01:06 Tarantino and Sly's brother Frank Stallone. And if I didn't mention, that's also on Netflix.
01:14 Then again on Netflix on Friday, Selling Sunset Season 7 lands so we have, not that I would
01:21 know who these people are, we have returning Brett and Jason Oppenheim, Chelsea Laskani,
01:27 Amanza Smith, Bree Tiese, Nicole Young, Emma Hernan, Chris L Stouse and Mary Fitzgerald.
01:39 And then unfortunately for fans of Rae El Moussa, she will not be returning because
01:45 she was on maternity leave during the filming of the latest season. There are 11 episodes
01:51 in this luxury property programme and they will all air on Friday the 3rd of November
01:56 at the same time. Then moving on to the weekend proper, on Saturday the 4th of November The
02:01 Voice UK returns to ITV1 and ITVX. The first episode will air at 8.25pm on ITV1 and then
02:09 will be available to stream on ITVX thereafter. Judges Will.i.am, Anne-Marie, Sir Tom Jones
02:16 and Ollie Mayes are in the hot seat. It will be Ollie Mayes last season on the show as
02:22 he announced he will be leaving following this season. Episodes will air at the same
02:27 time weekly. And then also on Saturday the 4th we have a couple of JFK documentaries,
02:34 not the one I mentioned in the main pod, that's coming up later. So we have JFK 24 Hours That
02:40 Changed The World, this is a moment by moment view of the Dallas assassination, that's on
02:45 Channel 4 at 8pm. And then immediately after at 9pm on Channel 4 we have Kennedy, Sinatra
02:51 and the Mafia and it explores how singer and American icon Frank Sinatra used his mafia
02:58 links and star power to help JFK win the race to the White House. So yeah, two big JFK docs.
03:07 And then on Sunday the 5th, lawman Bas Reeves comes to Paramount+. Now this isn't actually
03:14 a Yellowstone spin-off, though it is a Paramount+ Western series. It follows the exploits of
03:21 one of the first black deputy US Marshals west of the Mississippi River. The action
03:25 takes place on the Wild West frontier in Oklahoma and Arkansas and it stars David Oyelowo as
03:34 the titular Bas Reeves, a real historical US Marshal. Two episodes will land on Paramount+
03:41 on Sunday the 5th and then they'll be released one episode weekly thereafter. And then finally,
03:46 and we're ending on a low if you saw the main podcast, which I encourage you to listen to,
03:51 JFK One Day in America airs on Disney+. This three-part documentary series from National
03:56 Geographic follows the story of the assassination over five days, not one day as the title would
04:02 suggest, from the perspective of some of the last remaining eyewitnesses who were there
04:08 on the day. We hear from a reporter and two Secret Service agents. Well, with that, that's
04:17 all from me. Thanks for listening and join me again next week for more weekend watch
04:21 recommendations. Thank you very much.
