00:00 Today, I'm going to show you how I go from this to this.
00:05 There's not really a rhyme or reason for a lot of the things I do.
00:08 It's just like, I feel like it and it looks how I want it to look.
00:12 I like to look as like cartoonish as possible.
00:15 Hi, my name is Toshi Salvino and I'm a living art doll.
00:20 And today I'll be showing you my makeup transformation.
00:24 So now I'm going in with my signature thing,
00:28 which is white foundation.
00:31 A lot of people see my look and they think, "Oh my God, that's so much makeup."
00:35 But actually I like to use really thin layers.
00:37 So it's actually quite comfortable and not heavy at all.
00:42 The most important part of the living doll look
00:46 would definitely be the big eyes with the white underneath
00:50 and two sets of eyelashes.
00:54 My makeup journey began when I was nine years old
00:59 and somehow I got sky blue lipstick
01:04 and I wanted to wear it to school.
01:07 My mom said no and I brought it to school anyway.
01:12 And it started from there.
01:13 I remember I had this like long chiffon skirt
01:21 that was like blue and pink and like layered
01:24 and it like blew in the wind really cool.
01:26 And that was like one of my first pieces that really like
01:29 spoke to me of like, "Wow, you can
01:33 totally become something otherworldly through clothing."
01:37 My look now has definitely evolved.
01:40 Right now I'm in a phase that I like to call psychedelic cute.
01:45 So very like trippy and lots of colors
01:48 and very like kind of chaotic and all over the place,
01:51 but like in a fun way.
01:52 Now that I have my base foundation on
01:55 and the cream colors kind of outlining
01:58 where I want my colors to be,
02:00 at this point I go in with translucent setting powder.
02:03 I take a puff and just pack it in.
02:08 And when it doesn't feel sticky anymore and you can rub it,
02:13 that's when you know you have enough.
02:15 So to do my eyes, I want them to be really big, right?
02:21 So I'm going to be creating like a fake eye.
02:23 So you see this line here underneath?
02:26 This is where I'm going to put white
02:28 to make it look like my eye is bigger.
02:31 But to balance that out,
02:32 we need to have like an equal amount of black on the top.
02:35 I feel like it's looking okay so far.
02:39 It still kind of feels like nothing,
02:41 but that's part of the process.
02:43 It doesn't look good until you're done.
02:45 I love to contour under my jaw as well.
03:00 Just makes my chin feel nice and tiny and cute.
03:04 I like to look as like cartoonish as possible,
03:06 meaning like I want my head to look really big
03:08 and my body small.
03:10 There's not really a rhyme or reason
03:12 for a lot of the things I do.
03:13 It's just like, I feel like it
03:15 and it looks how I want it to look.
03:17 And that's like the only reason for makeup anyway.
03:22 Do whatever you want.
03:24 If you feel good, then you're doing it right.
03:27 It can get confusing when you're only known
03:30 for like being like the makeup chick or whatever.
03:33 And then actually during COVID,
03:36 I was trying to focus on being a Twitch streamer
03:39 and I wanted to do makeup looks a lot
03:41 and do it online.
03:43 And I started having allergic reactions to makeup.
03:45 I think due to stress.
03:47 So I actually had to stop wearing makeup for like a year.
03:50 And that was like a whole process of like,
03:55 who am I without makeup?
03:57 And like, what does this mean?
03:58 I've actually been able to grow
04:00 by like exploring other avenues.
04:02 There's this quote, it might be from Tony Stark.
04:06 And it says, "If you're nothing without it,
04:09 then you shouldn't have it at all."
04:11 And I just thought that that was really impactful
04:14 and meaningful.
04:16 I have my base colors on.
04:17 I use matte colors for that.
04:18 Now I'm moving on to like shimmers and iridescence.
04:21 This is gonna help blend it out,
04:22 but also like play with the contour a little bit more
04:25 by adding things that like literally catch light.
04:28 For me, the hardest thing is lips
04:32 'cause it's hard to get them even.
04:35 And I always forget what shape I like to make them.
04:39 Oh my God, lipstick is hard to just look even.
04:41 Oh, gonna glue some stuff to my face now.
04:50 People who say it's too extreme, they're just scared.
04:53 I would recommend that they try it
04:55 'cause I don't think anything is too extreme.
04:58 Like if you feel weird,
05:00 there's other weird people out there.
05:02 There you go.
05:06 Just doing some minor adjustments
05:08 and then final step is setting spray.
05:11 I feel good.
05:14 I feel cute.
05:15 I feel like I have arrived.
05:17 I'm ready to take on my day.
05:20 And that is how I go from this to this.
05:24 So there you have it.
05:26 This is how I like to look like a living doll.
