00:00 I really like what Joe Rudolph has done for the most part.
00:07 I have two big criticisms.
00:09 One is we have seen some inconsistency from week to week from a technical
00:14 standpoint, but I will counter that by saying they, they stepped up in the
00:22 biggest moment and I thought played well.
00:26 And I still am just going to continue to harp on this. Yeah.
00:30 Pat Coogan's had some good games.
00:31 There's no doubt.
00:32 I still feel the way that they handled the guard situation
00:34 this season was incorrect.
00:36 And that's always going to be a little bit of a black mark for me.
00:39 Cause, and it's a little unfair on my part to say this, Ryan, because I don't
00:44 know that Billy Shrouth would be playing better and I can say that, but I don't
00:49 know, but I still say what they should have done is put Billy Shrouth out there
00:53 early in fall camp, let him get the early reps with the ones, and if he falters
00:59 through the first half of camp, then you can always go to Billy Shrouth,
01:02 Pat Coogan and be okay.
01:04 Right.
01:05 But the other way around, I felt you're putting the younger, more talented
01:08 player in a situation where the standard is you have to be more consistent when
01:13 in reality, it's rare that a two year player is more consistent than a three
01:17 year player, unless it's a Joe Alt type of situation.
01:19 And so I didn't like that.
01:22 And I think that's a mistake that a lot of O-line coaches make.
01:25 Let me put the more steady kid in there over the more talented kid
01:28 because they value steadiness.
01:30 And my whole thing is, well, how about you coach up that really talented
01:34 younger guy and get them steady.
01:35 You know.
