Notre Dame Pass Offense Must Adjust and Adapt

00:00 This is you've got to be able to tinker with things.
00:05 Maybe you're using this guy right now for that route, but
00:08 you need to be using this guy for that route.
00:09 You know, right now the slot guy, Chris Tyree is doing a lot of the over
00:13 middle ends and overs and stuff.
00:15 So, okay.
00:15 Well, teams are kind of sitting on that.
00:17 So maybe you do some things where you go duo or trips or duo for me is, um, like
00:23 out of 21 personnel or 20 personnel, you have two to the right one over or the way
00:28 that Notre Dame has done it out of 11 personnel, they line up like that, but
00:32 then like the tight ends, like in a wing or an offset, whatever, you know, but
00:36 whenever you have those guys in doubles formation with an attached tight end,
00:40 trips formation, attached tight end, whatever you're doing, maybe you invert
00:43 them and you have Tobias or Jaden great house, which I would love to see Jaden
00:48 great house and Chris Tyree together at times to the field, but maybe you invert
00:53 them and so then you're doing things where that, that bigger guy on the inside
00:57 is maybe taking some of that inside attention.
00:59 And now you're doing some unders and some deep ends and some things like that
01:03 with Chris Tyree, where it's more coming from the outside, you know, where you're
01:06 running clear outs and you're bringing Chris Tyree underneath, there's different
01:10 things.
01:10 Cause you need to get him in space.
01:12 And right now they're asking him to be a route runner and you need to do
01:15 things to get him in space.
01:17 So that's an example where I don't think this staff is doing a good enough job of
01:22 saying, Hey, here's what these kids do.
01:24 Well, let's scheme to that.
01:26 It's like, they're just saying, this is our scheme.
01:28 Hopefully you guys fit into it.
01:30 That's that's I think Jared Parker's done a lot of good things.
01:33 That's probably my biggest complaint with him.
01:35 And, and, and part of that is the lack of RPO throws.
01:39 The fact that we've seen Chris Tyree catch like maybe one or two RPO throws the
01:42 whole year is, and part of me wonders if that's a Marcus Freeman thing.
01:46 It really does.
01:47 Cause everything I heard about Jared Parker from other coaches, from people
01:50 around the program, he's a big fan of RPOs.
01:53 Yeah.
01:54 Then, and we saw a ton of them.
01:56 We talked about it in the spring.
01:57 We talked about fall camp, missing a lot of RPOs.
01:59 Then we get the games.
02:01 We're not seeing RPOs.
