00:09 will ease strain on the other busy crematoriums and aims to reduce waiting times for bereaved

00:14 relatives and mourners.

00:17 Plans for the Roseland Parkham Crematorium in Shirebrook were originally approved in

00:20 September last year, and a groundbreaking ceremony has finally taken place to mark the

00:25 launch of construction work, with plans for the site to be completed by Spring 2025.

00:32 The facility is the result of a partnership between Bolsover District Council and Shirebrook

00:36 Town Council with the aim of resolving a growing demand for funeral services, with other crematoriums

00:42 in the region operating at a high capacity.

00:45 A large site off Common Lane next to Shirebrook Cemetery has been earmarked for the project,

00:50 which will include a main crematorium building, a wake facility, florist kiosk and takeaway

00:56 freshman's, as well as car parking and both formal memorial gardens and informal parkland.

01:03 The Roseland Parkham Crematorium project aims to provide new employment and training opportunities

01:08 throughout the construction phase and, once the site is completed, it is expected to create

01:13 eight new jobs for people working at the facility.

01:18 Schools at a Chesterfield school are exploring their brand new forest school, as the head

01:22 teacher says she is proud of making their experience at school 'magical'.

01:26 Whittington Moor Nursery and Infant Academy, which is currently rated 'good' across

01:31 all Ofsted categories, has been officially accredited as a forest school since 2021,

01:37 meaning that time using the outdoor provision is included in the school's curriculum.

01:41 The nursery has now welcomed a new forest area, which is accessible for wheelchair users,

01:46 with the pathway running throughout made of special cushioned rubber to offer protection

01:50 from any slips and falls.
