00:03 A Chesterfield entrepreneur has opened a 7,500 square foot warehouse facility in his hometown,

00:09 as part of his company's ongoing expansion plans.

00:12 Carmats.co.uk, which specialises in UK-manufactured carmats for every make and model,

00:19 has opened the new warehouse on the Chesterfield trading estate at Sheetbridge.

00:23 The new facility gives the business much-needed capacity to diversify its product offerings,

00:29 as well as creating job opportunities for local people.

00:32 Ash Young, who is the founder of Carmats.co.uk, launched the business during the COVID pandemic,

00:39 and set himself an ambitious goal of achieving £1 million in revenue within the first year.

00:44 The business reached the £1 million mark just nine months after launching,

00:49 and as of this year, its revenue has now reached £5 million.

00:55 Residents and businesses will soon learn whether ambitious regeneration plans to revamp their north-east Derbyshire town

01:01 will get the go-ahead, as the government-funded £24 million Claycross Town Deal scheme is due to be considered by planning chiefs.

01:08 Claycross was selected as one of 100 towns across England to receive a share of £3.6 billion from the government

01:19 The planning application features four main parts, including a new Claycross Town Square,
