00:00 Welcome to Drez Park, I'm Vedant Johari and in front of me we have the Lotus Elettra R.
00:10 So Lotus has just come to India with this car and in 2024 they are going to launch the
00:15 Amira in India as well.
00:17 So starting off with the front end of this beautiful electric SUV, what you can see are
00:23 these really nice angular DRLs with headlights below that, spanning all the way across till
00:29 here and on the hood of the car we have these really nice air vents as you can see, just
00:36 to improve the airflow, to improve the whole efficiency of this electric motor.
00:41 Also in the front, we have cameras placed all over the car for enhanced safety and enhanced
00:48 vision when you're driving in traffic.
00:51 Also we have this really nice carbon fibre element placed in front that just adds a whole
00:56 lot of sportiness, a whole lot of aesthetic value to this car.
01:01 Now as we move over to the side, we have a LIDAR here and over here and we have these
01:08 beautiful carbon fibre 22-inch wheels with a massive disc in the rear and a really nice
01:16 caliper with the Lotus badging on it.
01:19 So all over the car, we have six cameras, a few on the side view mirrors on the side
01:26 of the car and at the rear and in the front as well.
01:31 Also looking at the side profile of this, you can see this really nice groove on the
01:35 door and this colour honestly is beautiful, it stands out, it's a complete eye catcher,
01:43 it's something you don't see on an everyday basis.
01:47 Now at the rear of the car, we have these beautiful, really, really nice spoilers, again
01:56 adding to the whole aesthetic value, the whole sportiness of this and speaking about sportiness,
02:01 I'll come to the power figures and you will 100% be shocked when you see that.
02:05 At the rear, we also have a LIDAR over here for your rear view whenever the situation
02:13 comes up.
02:14 Now we have this brake light starting from here, spanning all throughout the rear of
02:20 the car and right on top of that, we have this carbon fibre lip, again, you could call
02:26 it a small spoiler for the improved airflow.
02:30 As you can see, from here, the air is going to go underneath this and it's going to get
02:35 pushed up from here, just to improve the drag coefficient and everything.
02:40 Also at the rear of the car, we have some more air vents over here that starts over
02:45 here and comes out right behind the rear tyre.
02:49 This again will reduce the drag and improve the overall performance of this electric SUV.
02:56 At the rear also, we have one more carbon fibre element that spans across it, reducing
03:02 the weight and enhancing the whole sportiness aspect of it.
03:05 Now at the back, the roof is in a piano black finish and we have piano black inserts all
03:11 over such as here, where the vent starts and moving in, on top of your brake light, the
03:20 spoiler and all throughout the top of this car.
03:23 As we move along the side of the car, these side view mirrors also made out of carbon
03:29 fibre, just again, improving the overall aesthetic, the overall look and just adding to the whole
03:37 sportiness aspect of this.
03:39 Here we have the charging port for the car and now coming to the much awaited power figure.
03:45 This is the Elettra R, they've launched it in three models, the Elettra, Elettra S and
03:51 the Elettra R. The Elettra R has 905 horsepower and 985 Newton metres of torque and that power
03:59 can push this car from 0 to 100 in under 3 seconds, 2.9 seconds to be exact.
04:05 Now that is honestly super, super impressive for a road going SUV.
04:10 Powering the Elettra R is a 112 kilowatt battery and the Elettra S is powered also by a 112
04:18 kilowatt battery but is slightly tuned less to produce 603 horsepower and 710 Newton metres
04:25 of torque.
04:26 Even that is really, really good and more than enough for what you need in the city.
04:32 Now Lotus coming to India is great as they have heaps of motorsport experience, heaps
04:37 of car experience making and producing honestly one of a kind cars and being a British brand,
04:45 they know what to do and where to do it.
04:48 Now launching the Elettra in India is honestly a great move as we don't have any electric
04:54 SUV here with these power figures.
04:57 So this is going to be a bullet on the road but a silent bullet as it's an all electric
05:03 SUV.
05:04 So this comes with a 112 kilowatt battery and to charge it from 10 to 80% through the
05:10 rapid charger takes only 20 minutes no matter which model you have, the Elettra, the Elettra
05:15 S or the Elettra R and for range, the Elettra and the Elettra S get 600 kilometres per charge
05:24 and the Elettra R as it's tuned to be more powerful gives us a range of 490 kilometres
05:30 per charge.
05:31 So coming to the interior of the vehicle, it honestly screams luxury, the colour scheme,
05:38 the grey and white colour contrast, the seats with the ventilated seats and the massage
05:43 option, everything in this car is honestly just beautiful to look at and honestly the
05:49 seats are super, super comfortable.
05:53 Coming to the features of the interior, it comes with smartphone charging over here,
05:58 12-way electrically adjustable front seats so it has, you can move it up, down, front,
06:05 back, all sorts of different ways.
06:09 Then also it comes with a 4-zone automatic climate control so this is your climate control
06:14 button and so you have two in the front and two at the rear for added comfort.
06:21 Also after that it comes with an infotainment system, a 15.1-inch infotainment system with
06:27 Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
06:30 The infotainment system is linked to 15 speakers with KEF premium audio and it comes with Dolby
06:37 Atmos technology which is completely enhancing the whole audio field, the whole audio system
06:43 as no matter where you're sitting in the car, you still feel central to the audio and not
06:49 one side feel stronger than the other side in terms of audio.
06:53 Also we have a really comfortable dead pedal which is perfectly placed and it honestly,
06:59 your foot sits perfectly and here we have the throttle and the brake and this is the
07:05 steering wheel.
07:06 The steering wheel also is compact, it's small, it's like how a sporty steering wheel should
07:12 be instead of the larger, more luxurious ones.
07:15 Being small also it doesn't reduce the feel of luxury, very comfortable, the upholstery
07:23 is top-notch and the display over there is perfectly set.
07:28 It does nothing when you're holding the wheel, blocks your field of vision, everything is
07:33 in place.
07:34 So this was the interior of the Elettra R. So the Elettra comes in three variants and
07:42 the prices start at Rs 2.55 crores for the base version which is just the Elettra.
07:47 The Elettra S is priced at 2.75 crores ex-showroom and this version, the Elettra R is priced
07:54 at Rs 2.99 cr ex-showroom.
07:57 So all in all this was the Lotus Elettra, the new all-electric SUV unveiled in India.
08:06 Let us know what you think of this vehicle down in the comments section below and what
08:10 your favourite feature on this SUV is.
