What's Inside The Horror Pack For November 2023?
Transcript
00:00 Well, it looks like the body bags are back along with the Blu-rays inside.
00:04 What's inside the Horror Pack, the monthly horror movie subscription service?
00:08 [Ominous music]
00:15 It has been a while since we've looked and opened up a bag from Horror Pack.
00:20 Every single month, Horror Pack will deliver to your dreaded doorstep a selection of four horror titles.
00:26 Now again, you can either have those titles in either DVD or Blu-ray.
00:29 The ones that are actually inside this bag are actually going to be Blu-ray.
00:33 But we're going to go ahead and open these up and you can check out the contents along with me.
00:36 I don't know exactly what's going to be inside the bag until, of course,
00:40 I just reach off to the side and grab my knife McCutcheons.
00:43 McCutcheons is, of course, going to assist me in cutting the side of the bag.
00:46 And again, if you guys are interested, I'll put the link down below in the video description
00:49 where you can subscribe to the Horror Pack.
00:51 Oh, it's been a while since we've done that. Like a hot knife through butter.
00:55 It's been a while and of course now we're going to be starting this up again.
00:58 As I pull out each of the individual titles,
01:00 you guys can let me know down below in the comment section
01:02 if you've seen the following titles and what you thought of the movies.
01:06 The first title we are going to be pulling out from the new Horror Pack,
01:09 if I can actually reach it. There we go. Pulling out the first title,
01:14 we have ourselves Paranormal Activity, The Ghost Dimension, The New Unrated Cut.
01:19 I have not seen this movie. In fact, many of the Paranormal Activities,
01:23 the later sequels, are all ones that just never really fell into my radar.
01:27 I watched the first, I think, four of them. I enjoyed the second one.
01:31 Is that the one with the next-door neighbor? Maybe that's the third one.
01:34 But all the ones after that, I really haven't had the chance to check out.
01:37 This is Paranormal Activity, The Ghost Dimension.
01:39 I'm assuming it's the last one or maybe the second last. On the back, it says,
01:44 "For the first time, you'll see the activity and it's more intense than ever.
01:47 When a new family moves into Katie and Christie's former house,
01:51 they discover a mysterious video camera that reveals the presence of an ancient evil
01:55 that begins to terrorize their lives. Now, with their young daughter's soul in danger,
01:59 they must fight back against the demonic threat that is becoming the next victim
02:03 in the latest chapter of the groundbreaking horror franchise.
02:07 Disc 1 includes the Blu-ray with special features, that being the theatrical version,
02:11 the unrated version, unrated version with alternate ending, and last and lost footage.
02:14 I thought I said last footage. And Disc 2 has the theatrical version.
02:18 That's going to be really cool. Looking forward to checking that out.
02:21 Now, this is from 2015. The running time for this is 87 minutes.
02:25 The unrated is 97 minutes, and the unrated alternate ending is 95 minutes.
02:30 It's funny that the alternate ending is less than the actual unrated by two minutes.
02:35 Definitely going to be checking that one out.
02:37 The next one we're going to be pulling from the bag is Spell.
02:41 This is Amari Hardwick and Loretta Devine, Evil Has Its Roots.
02:45 Never seen this one either. On the back, it says,
02:48 "When flying to his father's funeral in rural Appalachia, an intense storm causes Marquis,"
02:56 played by Amari Hardwick, "to lose control of the plane carrying him and his family.
03:00 He awakens, wounded, alone, and trapped in Miss Eloise," who plays by Loretta Devine, "attic,
03:06 who claims she can nurse him back to health with Boogity,
03:09 a hoodoo figure she has made from his blood and skin.
03:13 Unable to call for help, Marquis deliberately tries to outwit
03:16 and break free from her dark magic and save his family from a sinister ritual
03:21 before the rise of the Blood Moon." That seems very interesting.
03:26 "Special features include 15 deleted scenes, including alternate opening and alternate ending,
03:30 the art of hoodoo, and over an hour of bonus content."
03:35 See if I can actually make out. It's so hard to see.
03:38 It's from 2020, and the running time for this was 91 minutes.
03:42 Have you seen Spell? Let me know down below.
03:45 The last is it the snow? There should be two more in there.
03:48 Another one we have inside is the obstacle course.
03:51 This is the Horror Pack limited edition Blu-ray. "Run for your life, jump, climb, and crawl."
03:57 This was released, oh, 2023, so it's just recent.
04:02 "More kills than you can shake a starter pistol at," that says Ginger Nuts of Horror.
04:07 "Sunny never fit in with her survivalist family to prove her dad, and she is one of them.
04:12 She accepts an invitation to a pro-am obstacle course race.
04:16 She convinces her goofball friend Ezra to join her,
04:20 but soon find themselves on the wrong team in a game where the elite prove their superiority
04:25 in the bloodiest manner. Survival takes on a whole new meaning
04:29 in the satirical horror comedy from filmmaker Hope Madden."
04:33 It does look like in a way, though, it's been shot in video, like, not by like a video camera,
04:38 but it actually looks like it's been shot with someone's cell phone.
04:41 It is a Horror Pack, though, exclusive. It has the special features of audio commentary trailers,
04:46 behind the scenes, and original short film.
04:50 Check that out as well. And then the last one we have inside is Disturbia.
04:55 Now, I have Disturbia, but I don't know if I have Disturbia in Blu-ray.
04:59 "Every killer lives next door to someone, a scorching nail-biter that will leave you jumping out of your seat."
05:06 On the back, it says, "Even in the quiet tree-lined street,
05:10 no one is safe, especially from a savage killer next door. Welcome to Suburbia.
05:14 A cool thriller with big scares," says Richard Roper of Ebert & Roper.
05:19 "Living under three months house arrest, Kale Bretschit," played by Ashay LaBoeuf of B-Transformers,
05:25 "passes his days spying on the neighbors. It's all fun and games until things take a horrifying turn for the worst.
05:31 Kale is convinced that his neighbor next door is a serial killer, but he can't prove anything.
05:36 He can't convince anyone and can't leave his house without triggering an alarm.
05:40 Enlisting the help of his friends, Kale is determined to expose the truth.
05:44 But have all taken more than they bargained for when the cold-blooded murderer is on the loose.
05:50 With nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, Kale and his friends are in a race for their lives
05:55 in the electrifying thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seats."
05:59 That precedes the follow as well, also in French. I'm not going to speak that all in French.
06:03 Special features include, though, commentary by director DJ Carousel and cast members
06:09 Shae LaBoeuf and Sarah Romer, deleted scenes in HD, the making of Disturbia in HD,
06:14 and Serial Pursuit Trivial Pop Quiz, outtakes and bloopers in HD, music video Don't Make Me Wait,
06:21 The World is Fair, The World Fair HD, photo gallery, and theatrical trailer.
06:27 Release date for this, it is quite old. It's 2007. I mean, to say 2007 is old
06:33 kind of makes me wonder, like, what would have been the 90s considered by the new younger viewers
06:37 that are watching this channel. But 2007 was the release time and it was only running at 104 minutes.
06:43 That's pretty easy to digest. Again, I do have Disturbia, but I don't think I have Disturbia in Blu-ray.
06:48 So that's going to be perfect. Looking at the four titles, we got this time around from the Horror Pack.
06:53 First, we got ourselves Paranormal Activity, The Ghost Dimension, the new unrated cut.
06:58 Looking forward to that. Got Spell also as well. Realized just quickly I rhymed that.
07:03 Also got Obstacle Course and we also got Disturbia. Have you seen any of these films?
07:08 Let me know down below in the comments section what you guys think of them.
07:10 I'm curious if anybody has seen Spell. That's the one that kind of has to be the most curious.
