00:05 Hey, Bobby Manning here. Welcome to a practice edition of the Garden Report. Celtics finally got a couple days off in a row here to do a full practice today.
00:16 As they get closer to full health, they drew Holiday back after the in-season tournament win.
00:21 And Chris Dasporzingas inching closer toward a return. We'd still expect that he'll miss tomorrow's game against the 76ers.
00:28 But he rode the bike today, wearing a sleeve around that left calf injury.
00:33 And as we post on the Celtics All Access channel here, he did some light shooting before Tuesday's game.
00:40 An in-season tournament win that had players feeling uncomfortable that night.
00:45 Even Joe Mazzuola mostly focusing on apologizing to the Bulls for the way they handled the late game action there.
00:52 But a little bit of a different reaction a couple days removed from a hair practice.
00:57 Mazzuola loving the way that they were able to handle and extend the lead in that game.
01:02 He said he hopes that they can bottle that up in other situations, even without the in-season.
01:08 A point differential being the inspiration to keep playing late in these games and avoid losing big leads as we've seen this team do in different spots.
01:16 He said he had a conversation with Porzingis about how this felt more normal to Chris Stapps.
01:21 Having played in Spain and been involved in a tournament like this where point differential matters.
01:26 Mazzuola talks about being a fan of the soccer versions of these championships where goal differential matters.
01:32 And you see some tensions arise in some of these spots as we did in different games in the NBA here.
01:38 He also told a great story about how his dad playing in one of these tournaments in Chile had to score in their own basket to force overtime to get the differential that they needed.
01:52 Here's him talking about that.
01:53 No, that was the right thing to do. Actually reminded me of a story.
01:56 My dad played in Chile for five years and they played the same aggregate best of two score differential.
02:02 My dad's team was up two seconds and the other team thought they needed to win by six.
02:07 But my dad's team was winning, so they purposely scored on their own basket so they could force it into overtime and try and win by six.
02:13 And so to me, it's like you by any means necessary within the rules.
