00:00 stay in it with the Texans visiting the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.
00:04 Texans are road favorites at 3.5 points.
00:08 - As they should be. - Yes, as they should be.
00:10 According to FanDuel, 3.5.
00:12 The total, this one's low too, 33.5.
00:15 I'm kind of surprised.
00:17 I've been watching the lines throughout the week before we were doing this.
00:20 And it opened with Texas minus 5.5, almost a six-point favorite.
00:24 And then Zach Wilson is announced as the starter for the Jets.
00:29 And the Jets grabbed two points, and now it's 3.5.
00:31 - I guess it's just a boost in competency. - Yeah.
00:34 Because it was just like, it was already bad,
00:36 but I feel like it went down to the negatives when they benched him.
00:39 - Yeah, that's true. - He's back for a reason.
00:40 You know, it's not like they have a lot of options.
00:42 Yeah, Tim Boyle's gone. He's cut.
00:44 They straight up got rid of him.
00:46 So it's going to be Zach Wilson. Trevor Simeon's the backup.
00:48 You're right, maybe it is.
00:49 You know, they did win some games with Wilson at the helm earlier in the season,
00:52 and then he just sort of unrivaled there and maybe rightfully so benched him.
00:57 But he's back in the lineup. Robert Salas says that there was no animosity between the two.
01:01 I know there was a report that said Wilson's going to refuse to start,
01:05 but they all said that was false. I don't know where that came from.
01:07 But it is Zach Wilson versus CJ Stroud,
01:10 who does lose one of his top weapons in tank Dell.
01:14 I believe he's out for the season. It was an ankle injury, if I have that correct.
01:17 So CJ Stroud still got Nico Collins,
01:20 still have that offense flying high with Bobby Slowik.
01:23 The defense playing well as well under D'Amico Ryan.
01:26 So thirty three and a half total Texans minus three and a half.
01:30 Taylor, thoughts on the matchup and thoughts on who wins this one in the Meadowlands.
01:35 I really I do think this is going to be tough for CJ Stroud
01:38 because this is still a good Jets defense.
01:40 You don't know what how much how in it they're going to be
01:44 because of where they're at this season.
01:45 Maybe Zach Wilson kind of lights a fire a bit just because they're like,
01:48 all right, you know, we're resetting.
01:50 We're I don't know. I don't know.
01:52 It's not like the Patriots where it's you can't expect a lot.
01:55 It's like defense who are playing their butts off
01:57 because their offense is just are incompetent.
02:00 And I'll go under.
02:04 I take the under really.
02:05 Honestly, yeah, I just I guess I don't think the Jets are going to score.
02:08 And I really do think that the Jets are going to be able to contain,
02:12 especially without Tang.
02:13 You know, I don't think you underestimate that.
02:15 They've got a really strong connection.
02:16 So I take the under.
02:17 I think the Texans will win just because they're in better shape right now.
02:21 Much better shape relatively.
02:22 But I think the Jets are going to make it tough for them.
02:25 So I'm going to take the Texans minus three and a half.
02:27 I do think they win this one, even like you said, without Tanktel.
02:30 I think what they have going on offense is, you know, really good.
02:33 CJ Strauch playing like a three, four year veteran already in his rookie season.
02:37 They continue to win games.
02:39 But I like the over. I think thirty three and a half is low.
02:41 I think we're a little spooked when we watch Patriots games and thinks that on
02:45 NFL and we think that NFL offenses can't score points.
02:48 But they in fact do. Yeah, it's literally it's trauma.
02:52 And so I know I know the Jets defense is good.
02:55 They were they were really good to start.
02:56 They fallen off a little bit here and there.
02:59 All of a sudden, they're pretty good sometimes.
03:00 But like at the end of the day, when you continue to lose games and,
03:03 you know, running through the quarterbacks and things like that,
03:07 it's hard for you as a defense to get up every week.
03:09 So I'm going to take the over.
03:12 I think that the Texans score points.
03:13 And I think Zach Wilson might throw a couple on the board as well.
03:15 So I like the Texans minus three and a half, but I do like the over
03:19 thirty three and a half in this one.
03:21 You can get all of those. Yes.
03:23 And I was just saying to your point, they I wanted to check their schedule again.
03:27 They so they lost 13 to eight to the Falcons, where you're not going
03:30 to expect them to score a lot.
03:31 But to your point, they did lose to high powered offenses in the Bills and Dolphins.
03:36 But they lost 30 points in both those games.
03:39 So, yeah, there has been a bit of a skid.
03:42 You know, you lost to the Falcons. Right.
03:44 It's and again, when you know when you do play your butts off,
03:48 you know, game after game and you keep losing.
03:51 Like, that's why I'm thinking about it now, thinking about the game.
03:54 We just talked about Pat Steelers.
03:55 Like how much how many more games can the Patriots defense just go
03:59 balls to the wall, let up ten, ten points, ten point six points
04:02 and just get sick and tired of it and be like, well, we're doing our job like effort.
04:06 Like, I don't care anymore type thing and just kind of let up a 30 burger.
04:09 So and one thing, though, and now we're kind of getting another star
04:12 like with with Belichick and Saul, like I feel like players
04:17 were more vocally upset with the Jets and with the Patriots.
04:20 Obviously, you got gotcha being like, yeah, it sucks.
04:23 I'm not going to sit here and lie to you.
04:24 But Peppers has been adamant that Bill Belichick is not the reason
04:29 they're losing these games.
04:30 And I don't think at least, you know, I'm not locked in on Jets media,
04:34 but I haven't heard people really stand up for Sala in that way.
04:37 So, you know, while we have all these conversations about whether or not
04:41 the Belichick's can be back next season,
04:43 there's plenty of reasons that you could argue he shouldn't and won't.
04:46 But at the same time, I don't it doesn't sound at least like
04:49 he's lost the locker room.
04:51 It just feels like they understand injuries have really put them in a bad spot.
04:55 And also that their offense, like everybody can see it.
04:58 They're completely incompetent.
05:00 And it's like you can't really expect your coaches to be doing much more when,
05:03 you know, and Adrian Clems gone like there's so many things going on with New England.
05:07 This is so intangible.
05:09 We clip this and yeah, this is like it's its own thing.
05:12 But yeah, like with the Jets, it's not really the same.
05:15 There's not a lot of good vibes coming out of that locker room.
05:17 Yeah, I'm with you.
05:18 I think there is there's some there's some weird things that again,
05:21 the Wilson thing, the the the solid thing, you know, texting somebody and saying
05:25 that, you know, look at these teams, not a quarterback like it is odd.
05:29 It's weird. A little bit of locker room lost.
05:31 So again, maybe the defense does let up a little bit and let up some points.
05:35 And that's kind of where my head's at.
05:36 And that's why I like they're over thirty three and a half.
05:38 You can get that number at FanDuel.
05:41 Speaking of FanDuel, we're going to quickly take a look

06:19 A kickoff to the NFL season.
06:21 FanDuel, official partner of the NFL.
06:24 We're heading over to the NFC now.
06:28 Lions minus the total is forty three and a half.
06:32 The reason I picked this game, Taylor, when looking through the slate is because
06:36 frankly, take a look at the Chicago Bears, because you look at the Patriots
06:42 and I'm trying to relate it back to the Patriots here
06:44 because we are on Patriots press pass and we do mainly cover the Patriots.
06:47 They are in the conversation for the number one overall pick in the NFL draft.
06:52 And so are the Chicago Bears, because they have the Carolina Panthers pick.
06:57 Panthers currently hold the number one overall pick.
07:00 Long story short, my eyes are all over Justin Fields every single week here
07:04 to see if Chicago thinks that he is, in fact, their franchise quarterback.
07:08 See how he plays.
07:09 If they do land the number one pick to Carolina, maybe they,
07:13 you know, trade back and maybe the Patriots can get up to one
07:16 and take their quarterback or maybe they pick Marvin Harrison
07:19 and then Patriots sit in it, too.
07:20 They get their pick of the litter.
07:21 Yada, yada, yada.
07:22 That's why my eyes are on the Chicago Bears.
07:24 They're taking on the Detroit Lions, who are one of the best teams in the NFC
07:28 this year.
07:29 They look really solid.
07:31 Jared Goff.
07:31 Jared Goff's been up and down the last couple of weeks, but overall,
07:34 that team kind of continues to just grab some wins here.
07:38 And so there are three point favorites on the road.
07:40 A small number for, you know, one of the better teams in the NFC versus the
07:44 the Bears, who are, you know, very much continuing to rebuild.
07:49 So forty three and a half total.
07:50 Finally, we get to talk about a total in the 40s, two teams
07:54 that do, in fact, score points in the NFL.
07:56 So what do you make of Lions versus Bears and who do you think wins it?
07:59 I I'm just going to say Bears, because I'm kind of just trying to manifest
08:04 this as well, because also I feel like I've seen a lot of breakdowns
08:08 from the Lions defense lately.
08:09 They haven't really been, you know, as sturdy as I expected them to be.
08:13 And the Bears are the perfect kind of team where they're just
08:16 they have so much explosiveness that even when they're not doing well
08:19 for stretches, all it takes is one play for Justin Fields
08:22 to break out in the space or DJ more to take a screen like 70 yards for a touchdown.
08:27 And I feel like this is the kind of Lions defense that could light up
08:30 some of those plays.
08:31 Now, you know, I'm not going to lie.
08:33 I'm not super familiar with the Bears defense.
08:35 And obviously the Lions are pretty hyper efficient,
08:38 but they also made a lot of mistakes and shot themselves in the foot.
08:40 So I'll go with the frisky pick and I'll go with the Bears.
08:43 Do I think this is going to be high scoring?
08:48 I can see it being like modest.
08:50 I don't think we're going to see fireworks, but you know, I think it's
08:53 I don't think it's going to be a slog.
08:55 So I'm looking at the Lions and the Bears last matchup, which was just
08:58 three weeks ago, I believe, and the Lions did win 31 26.
09:04 Jared got through three interceptions in that game.
09:07 So it did go way over the total
09:09 different environment, obviously, here in Chicago versus in the Dome
09:13 in Detroit this week.
09:15 But I do think higher scoring, actually.
09:17 So, all right, I'll go change. I'll go to the over.
09:19 Yeah, I think I like over 43 and a half.
09:22 But I do think the Lions end up pulling it out.
09:24 They're playing for more at this point.
09:25 There's a plan for last lines playing for, you know, seating and things like that.
09:29 And yeah, the Bears, I mean, again, it's yeah, you look and want to see
09:33 if you have something in Justin Fields, but they're not really on the
09:36 on the outskirts of the playoffs or anything like that.
09:38 So easy one for me.
09:40 I'm taking the lines minus three and I'm taking the over.
09:41 Let's go back to the AFC, the AFC East Bills at Chiefs
09:46 Chiefs minus one and a half favorites at home, according to FanDuel.
09:51 The total is forty eight and a half.
09:54 Man, that Chiefs offense does not look like the same offense at all
09:58 without our good friend Eric Bien-Ami there,
10:02 who I said should be the Patriots next head coach.
10:05 We go back and watch Pat's Daily's mailbag with myself and Taylor the other day.
10:09 Matt Nagy running their offense now, he it just doesn't look the same.
10:14 I mean, Patrick Mahomes is still Patrick Mahomes, and he still, you know,
10:17 makes great plays and he's he's one of the he's still the best quarterback
10:20 in football, but they're not scoring points there.
10:22 They're lacking in the wide receiver department.
10:24 Travis Kelsey doesn't look like himself.
10:26 That defense is lethal, but they're just not getting it done.
10:29 And now the Bills come in bills, I believe, coming off a two game win streak.
10:34 They just had a bye last week and they've won their last two.
10:36 Joss Allen looks to be better after they fired Ken Dorsey
10:39 and allowed Joe Brady to take over the offense.
10:42 I'm going to say it right now.
10:44 I think this one is going to be high scoring.
10:46 These Bills Chiefs games are always electric at Arrowhead,
10:49 so I'm immediately going to take the over forty eight and a half.
10:52 But the spread is interesting to me.
10:54 I don't know who's going to pull it out.
10:55 Both teams kind of coming in at different different points in their season.
10:59 So, Taylor, I'm going to defer to you.
11:01 Who do you think wins between the Bills and the Chiefs this weekend at Arrowhead?
11:04 I don't know, man. This is tough.
11:07 Yeah, it is.
11:07 I like I want to say over because I feel like you're not going to be able
11:11 to contain Joss Allen because he usually shows up for games like this.
11:14 And while I wouldn't want to predict that the Chiefs score a lot of points,
11:19 I feel like Mahomes is just going to will them.
11:20 Now, that being said, we've seen Mahomes will them to victories
11:24 and it didn't work because his receivers didn't let it happen
11:26 and they let him down, including Travis Kelsey.
11:28 So it's a weird one.
11:30 Like, I wouldn't be surprised if the Bills, like if it's kind of
11:33 a little back and forth and then the Bills get the upper hand
11:36 and then just kind of steamroll them.
11:38 But Mahomes led teams, so you never think that that's really something that can happen.
11:42 And the Chiefs defense is very good.
11:44 And I think their pressure schemes could really get to Joss Allen
11:47 and make things uncomfortable for him.
11:48 So this is really tough, man.
11:50 I feel like I could be dead wrong on this, but I'll go Bills and I will.
11:57 Honestly, I'll go under.
12:00 I'll go under for this. I'll go under.
12:01 All right.
12:03 Taylor's on the under. I'm on the over.
12:06 He's on the Bills. I'm on the Chiefs.
12:08 I just love Pat Mahomes. I just have a hard time.
12:11 I do too. It's just the receivers.
12:13 If you had two guys I trusted, I'd be like, yeah, I'm probably going to pull this out.
12:16 But after the last game, which is all those drops and big moments,
12:20 like I just can't bet on these guys.
12:22 No, I'm with you. I don't I don't blame you.
12:24 I just have a I just have a knack for for not betting against Pat Mahomes.
12:27 But that's just me.
12:28 And that's why that's why we're here to to to talk it out and talk it through.
12:32 And, you know, you might change my mind.
12:33 Maybe I'll pick the Bills by the time Sunday afternoon rolls around.
12:37 Speaking of Sunday afternoon into Sunday night, we're going to get to two
12:41 primetime matchups, Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football.
12:44 But before we do that, let's take a look and a listen to our friends over at SeatGeek.

13:50 All right.
13:50 Sunday night football.
13:51 Eagles at Cowboys.
13:53 Cowboys minus three and a half point favorites according to FanDuel.
13:57 Eagles finally got their, finally got beat last week against the San Francisco
14:03 49ers, Niners come across the country and beat them at the link.
14:07 Your friend over at NFL media.
14:11 I don't know if you know him.
14:11 I don't know what your, what your thoughts are on David Gould.
14:14 He's a fan of the Cowboys.
14:15 He's a fan of the Cowboys.
14:16 I don't know if you know him.
14:17 I don't know what your, what your thoughts are on David Carr.
14:19 But, uh, the brother of Derek said the other day that Jalen Hurts, who is banged up.
14:24 He said that Jalen Hurts should be benched for Marcus Mariota.
14:27 Before we get into the game, I want to get your thoughts on what David Carr from
14:30 NFL Network had to say on Jalen Hurts.
14:32 First, I do not know that man.
14:34 Okay.
14:35 I have no association.
14:37 Second, that's a dumb take.
14:38 Like that's just your signature production meeting being like, all right, we need
14:42 somebody with a different opinion, maybe some spicy.
14:44 Like, yeah, I'll be the punching bag.
14:46 I swear half his job at that network is just to say outlandish things and just
14:51 have Twitter blast him, but he gets paid good money for it.
14:53 So good for him.
14:54 Yeah.
14:54 Anyway.
14:55 Um, um, oh my God.
14:57 I, so the Eagles, uh, do we know what hurts is actually dealing with right now?
15:03 I'm not sure.
15:04 Don't know.
15:06 Um, well, regardless, the Cowboys are rolling right now.
15:10 And I feel like this is the kind of perfect situation for them to just keep
15:14 proving, especially deck that, you know, they beat up on some bad teams, but this
15:17 is a good chance to keep proving that like, no, he's playing it at MVP type level.
15:21 Um, and against an ailing jail and hurts, like you don't like to bet against the
15:24 Eagles are just so talented, but I also just think the Cowboys are very well
15:27 built team top to bottom.
15:29 Uh, and I think it could end up being a shootout.
15:32 I'm not sure with the weaponry that the Eagles have, you're not going to count
15:35 them out, but I would see, you know, I take the over and I would say that the
15:39 Cowboys are probably going to be the ones to pull it out.
15:41 Yeah, I agree.
15:42 Um, finally in the fifties here with the total 51 and a half.
15:46 So we crept up the entire, the entire show.
15:48 We're in the thirties and the forties.
15:49 Now we have one that's 51 and a half, uh, two high powered, high flying offenses.
15:54 Uh, I like the over here too.
15:55 I like to obviously root for points in this game anyway, but, uh, you know, two
15:59 great offenses, Dak playing like an MVP, the Eagles in a bounce back spot after,
16:03 you know, not getting themselves going last week.
16:05 Um, man, though, I don't know about the spread three and a half points.
16:10 I think I'm going to, I think I like the Eagles.
16:12 I think the Eagles can win.
16:14 Um, and if they don't, I think they keep it within a field goal game.
16:17 So I'm going to take the Eagles.
16:19 That's probably smarter.
16:20 Honestly, that's probably smarter.
16:21 Why are we here?
16:23 We'll talk about take two sides, but we both like the over 51 and a half because
16:26 we're going to root for points on Sunday night football.
16:28 Uh, let's go and add football before we finish up here.
16:32 Uh, dolphins, uh, hosting the Tennessee Titans, Will Levis and DeAndre
16:37 Hopkins is Tennessee Titans.
16:39 Uh, touchdown favorites minus 13 and a half.
16:45 The total is 46 and a half.
16:47 Uh, the Miami dolphins are rolling.
16:49 Mike McDaniel has that offense flying into December.
16:52 The last couple of seasons, uh, with two of their, you know, they started hot.
16:56 He would get hurt.
16:57 They'd fizzle out.
16:58 They'd be close to the playoffs, whatever.
17:00 Uh, not this year it's December and they're still scoring 45 points a game.
17:04 Not, not a game literally, but last week they put up 45.
17:07 They're always, you know, they're always up there.
17:08 Tyree kill looks like an MVP candidate.
17:10 That guy's a monster.
17:11 That offense is flying the defense.
17:13 Pretty good too.
17:14 Uh, the Titans, uh, just fired their special teams coordinator this week
17:18 after two punts were blocked, uh, in their loss to the Colts last weekend.
17:22 Will love us kind of getting a speed under him there.
17:25 Mike variable.
17:26 Don't know if he's going to be there.
17:27 Don't know if he's a Patriots head coach candidate next season.
17:29 We'll see how that all plays out, uh, over the next month and a half or so.
17:33 But for now, Monday night football Titans at dolphins, dolphins, heavy favorites,
17:37 Taylor Kyle's, what do you make of the matchup and who wins it?
17:40 Did the dolphins cover 13 and a half points?
17:42 I think theoretically we'll love this is like unhinged enough to keep this
17:46 close just because he's going to take some crazy shots and Hopkins is talented
17:50 enough to come down with them, but the dolphins defense has really figured it
17:54 out and they're really rolling and I think that their passing game, the way
17:57 it works, how quick it is can kind of nullify the Titans defensive front,
18:01 which is the strength of that team.
18:02 So I think the dolphins, this is a steamroll kind of game.
18:06 Like I, I want to say that we'll love this, you know, has a couple big
18:10 plays that keep things competitive early, but I just think that the dolphins are
18:13 going to seize momentum and not let it go.
18:15 Yeah.
18:16 Um, I I'm with the first point you said that I think the Titans can keep it close.
18:20 And I know we did this a couple of weeks ago where it was like a 20 point spread
18:25 with the Cowboys and giants, and you were like, well, it's the NFL, they keep it
18:28 close and I was like, I don't know.
18:29 And then I was right that time, but I think that, uh, this time you're going
18:34 to be right in that we'll love us to keep it close, it isn't an NFL football game.
18:37 I don't see the dolphins winning by 14, even though they are rolling.
18:41 Um, I just like kind of what he does on offense.
18:44 And like you said, it can be unhinged enough to keep it close.
18:46 So I like the Titans with the points 46 and a half.
18:50 I think I like the over, uh, this is an over show for me, but I mean, with the
18:53 dolphins scoring 45 last week, uh, I think they keep their stuff rolling.
18:57 I don't think they get that high, but, um, I do think they'll score enough.
19:00 And I think the Titans keep it close.
19:01 So, uh, in saying that I like the Titans plus 13 and a half, and I
19:05 like the over 46 and a half in this one.
19:08 That's going to do it for us here on Patriots press pass for week 14.
