Suzuki Matsuri is a motorcycle festival organized by Suzuki Motorcycle India. It's a celebration of motorcycle culture, bringing together riders from diverse backgrounds for a day of fun, music, and riding experiences. At Suzuki Matsuri, there were different experience zones to test out some of Suzuki's production motorcycles such as the Gixxer and the V-Strom. They also had a separate track to try out the Suzuki Avenis.

00:00 Welcome to Drivespark, I'm Vedant Johari and we are at the Suzuki Matsuri event at the
00:11 JK Grand Arena near Mysore Road in Bangalore.
00:14 So what is the Suzuki Matsuri event?
00:16 Well, it's a gathering for all Suzuki enthusiasts to come to be together in one community, enjoying
00:23 a nice festival with music, a lot of stages and some chances to actually try out some
00:29 of Suzuki's production motorcycles.
00:31 So what all do they have here?
00:33 They have a stunt arena where we just saw some people stunting, pulling some nice wheelies,
00:38 toppies, combos, all of that.
00:40 Then they also had the Suzuki Gixxer experience where customers got to try out the Suzuki
00:46 Gixxer with complete riding gear, the helmet, gloves, e-pads, everything just to be safe
00:53 and Suzuki set up a nice course for them to see how agile the motorcycle is, how it brakes
00:58 and how it accelerates.
00:59 On top of that, they have a dirt track over here to try out the Suzuki V-Strom 250 and
01:04 the dirt track again, you can actually take the bike around corners to see how it fares
01:09 on a dirt surface on the stock tyres that you get from the showroom.
01:12 Then they also have the Suzuki Avenis experience stage where you can try out their scooter.
01:17 This is the Suzuki Avenis and you can try this out on the obstacle course they made.
01:21 Again they've put out some cones where you can again test how nimble the scooter is,
01:25 where all you can take it and what not.
01:27 Then they also have showcased Suzuki's dirt bike that competes in the national rallies,
01:33 beautiful looking dirt bike.
01:34 On top of that, the MC of the show is Mr. Rustam Patel, an international and national
01:38 rally champion and he is taking the show forward, hit the customers, handing out the lucky draw
01:43 winners and everything.
01:44 On top of that, they've called him Dev Henkatesh, a very very renowned name in the rally scene
01:49 in India and he also is at this event present.
01:53 On top of that, a lot of influencers, local influencers and influencers call from out
01:58 of state over here.
01:59 Then what else do we have at the Suzuki Matsuri event?
02:02 Suzuki has a stall just for their merchandise, for their helmets, their riding gear, just
02:08 t-shirts for the general public, gloves, caps, water bottles, you name it, they have it over
02:13 there.
02:14 Also a lot of stalls from various companies have been set up such as Seat Tyres has a
02:18 stall over here showcasing some of their tyres.
02:21 Other than Seat, Suzuki has showcased the new Hayabusa and that's on display for the
02:27 public to see, to sit on, to see how comfortable the motorcycle is and that.
02:32 Also I almost forgot to mention, they've called in Shahidul Sharma.
02:36 He is one of the most reputed motocross riders from India and he's competed in the Red Bull
02:42 Romaniacs.
02:43 So, once we entered at the parking lot itself, we felt the energy of Suzuki's motorcycles.
02:50 They have a stall, a parking stall just for all the big bikes like the V-Storm 650, the
02:55 Hayabusa, the GSX-R, the GSX-S, all of these motorcycles over there and that is really
03:00 really nice.
03:01 As soon as I entered, all those bikes were revving their engines out, revving their hearts
03:05 out, getting the true personality of the bikes out.
03:09 So, if you could introduce yourself please.
03:18 I'm Shahidul Sharma, the only hard enduro racer representing our country in the world
03:24 of hard enduro.
03:25 So, give a small introduction about yourself, what all you've competed in, how far you are
03:29 in the enduro scene.
03:31 So, in 2022, I went to the Red Bull Romaniacs, the world's toughest hard enduro race and
03:38 I was the first Indian to participate as well as finish.
03:41 For me, exploring enduro has been a very different vibe.
03:45 Because in India, we have a lot of terrain which is enduro and it helped me riding but
03:49 the technicality of this track was very different and I really enjoyed riding my motorcycle
03:53 there.
03:54 Crazy, that's really nice.
03:55 So, we are at the Suzuki Mahotsuri event now and so we're only apt to ask you, have you
04:02 ever ridden a Suzuki bike like the V-Storm or whichever one that they have on and off
04:06 road terrain and if you did, how did it fare, if you push it to its limit, how did it take
04:10 all the abuse?
04:11 So, one thing I really love about the Japanese motorcycles, especially Suzuki, is their reliability.
04:17 So, I've ridden the RMX 450 and the RMZ 450 off road a lot of times and this cute little
04:23 baby also here, the V-Storm.
04:25 250 also on off road, it was very nimble, it was very agile when I was riding all the
04:31 different terrains and taking jumps on it, it was really fun.
04:34 I really enjoy Suzuki motorcycles as they are very very reliable and they are actually
04:40 made with proper mechanics and testing, a lot of testing goes in these motorcycles,
04:45 like Suzuki is known for their culture of testing and creating a masterpiece when they
04:50 create it.
04:51 Ok, fine, nice.
04:52 So, you are really big in the enduro scene, probably the biggest we have here, so how
04:56 would you say the enduro scene in India is picking up or would you say it's picking up
05:00 or is there a lot for it to expand on still?
05:03 Enduro is actually picking up in India, NIO started training people with enduro, we are
05:08 running an IP called CYF Enduro Tracks where we bring people and they come train with us
05:14 and they learn the skills of enduro, we go to different parts of the country and create
05:18 tracks there and people can come and enjoy.
05:20 So enduro is something natural in India which we all have, so for supercross, for rally
05:26 they have set principles in tracks and motorcycles but for enduro the obstacles are more like
05:30 natural which can be easily explored.
05:33 So this really enhances the chances of India growing in the sport of enduro and as we know
05:38 we all are quite athletic, so it helps us more.
05:42 Nice, so the final question, what do you feel about the energy of this event, how are you
05:46 enjoying it?
05:47 The energy of the event is amazing, as Bangalore, the best weather of the country, so see, I'm
05:53 enjoying in a jacket and you are also enjoying with me, so I'm really blessed to be part
05:58 of the Suzuki Matsuri here and thank you, thank you DiveSpark and brother for having
06:03 me here.
06:04 Thank you for giving me your time, it's an honour to meet you and have this one on one
06:07 interaction with you.
06:08 Thank you so much.
06:09 So now I have one of the customers of the Suzuki Matsuri event here with me and if you
06:19 could just introduce yourself please, your name?
06:20 So hi, I'm Tamari, my name is Tamari.
06:22 Oh okay fine, nice.
06:23 So what's your experience like at the Suzuki Matsuri event?
06:27 Damn, I'm having fun, it's like one of the best days of this year, it's so power packed,
06:32 though the crowd is like a little scanty but still the energy they have is like wow, so
06:37 they are all supporting each other like anything and you can hear it right?
06:41 Yes.
06:42 Yeah, so it's a power packed event, I'm having fun.
06:44 Great, nice.
06:45 So do you ride bikes?
06:47 Yes, I do.
06:48 Which bike do you have?
06:49 So I have two bikes, one is a vintage, that's a Suzuki Samurai, one more is a Royal Enfield.
06:54 Oh nice, and what all have you done on bikes?
06:57 So you told me you are into stunting and all, so what all have you done?
07:01 What all I've done with all the bikes throughout my life is, I am riding a Suzuki Samurai since
07:06 6+2, 8 years, I'm 26, so otherwise a Royal Enfield since past 2 years, but then I recently
07:12 got into stunts, I'm a stunt rider, I've been practicing on a Honda Stunner, I participated
07:18 in Stunt Warfare this year which happened near Peshawari, so National Championship and
07:23 I secured the 3rd place.
07:25 Oh wow, crazy, congratulations.
07:27 So I saw you inside the stunt arena going in circles with the guys doing wheelies, how
07:31 was your experience with that?
07:32 My head went circles, I don't know how those guys are doing it, they've been doing so many
07:37 circles, I just did like 4-5 circles with them, my head is like spinning, I'm like ok
07:40 leave, let me go, but then it was, my adrenaline was pumping so much, it was so good inside
07:47 the arena, yeah.
07:48 Crazy, nice, that's all.
07:50 So thank you so much for your time and have a blast at the event.
