00:00 So Chetak has just come out with a new version of the electric scooter.
00:08 So let's take a look at what comes new and what the design elements are on the scooter.
00:12 Welcome to Drivespark, I'm Vedant Johari and this is the Chetak electric scooter.
00:17 So now starting off with the front end of the Chetak, as you see, it still resembles
00:26 the previous version how we had, with the circular headlight, the two off-placed indicators,
00:33 the centre air vents and the front mudguard.
00:37 All in all, it has the similar design elements as the previous version of the Chetak, but
00:42 just taking a quick look at it, then it has a slightly wider footboard for our comfort,
00:49 for rider's comfort, a really well cushioned seat, as you can see the thickness of the
00:52 seat, very well cushioned and something really nice is the rear footpegs come integrated
00:58 with your floor design making it look like one single piece.
01:02 Now moving on to the rear of the Chetak, we still have the two brake lights at the back
01:08 with the integrated indicators, but this one is a little more sleeker than what we saw
01:13 on the previous version.
01:15 Also at the back, we have the air vents again that we had in the front and it also comes
01:21 with a Chetak badge at the back.
01:23 On the rear of the seat, we have this really nicely designed grab rails, we saw this on
01:27 the previous version as well, so the Chetak is built for everyday use, so the build quality
01:32 of this has to be proper and as you can see, the panels are really, really well placed,
01:37 nothing rattling out, nothing is rattling, even when we took this for a short ride around
01:42 the city, we found it to be very comfortable, we didn't hear any rattling, we didn't
01:47 hear any of the body panels moving, it was all well placed.
01:51 So that's a really good thing that Chetak has done for the electric scooter.
01:54 So what comes new in the Chetak?
01:57 Well, there are four things, your range, the instrument cluster, the top speed and navigation.
02:04 So the range that we get on the new Chetak is 126 kilometres on a single charge, for
02:10 your daily commutes, for a daily scooter, that is wonderful.
02:13 Another thing that's new is the top speed, now the Chetak can achieve a top speed of
02:17 73 kilometres per hour and again, for your city commutes, for your daily commutes, that
02:23 is all you need, you don't need anything more than that.
02:25 Now the battery pack that we have has also been redesigned, the previous battery pack
02:29 on the Chetak was a 2.7 kilowatt hour battery pack, now on the updated model, we get a 3.2
02:37 kilowatt hour battery pack, just giving that extra performance, that extra fun for when
02:42 you need it on the scooter.
02:43 Now coming to the display of the Chetak, on the previous version of the Chetak, we saw
02:47 a circular display, sort of oval like display, now, even though the main screen is a sort
02:53 of oval like, our display is a rectangular display, in my opinion, the rectangular display
02:58 gives you much more ease of visibility, you can see your readings much more clearer and
03:04 also on the display, we now have navigation, all you need to do is connect to the Chetak
03:09 app, so these are the new things that we get on the Chetak.
03:12 So the base variant of the Chetak Urban comes at a price of Rs. 1,15,000 ex-showroom.
03:18 Now the premium version that we have here is priced at Rs. 1,35,000 ex-showroom.
03:23 So now for the tech pack on the previous version, you need to pay an additional Rs. 9,000, but
03:29 you get the features that you want and for the Urban edition, an extra of Rs. 8,000 for
03:35 the tech pack on that edition.
03:37 As I said, the Chetak gets a new battery pack, which is a 3.2 kilowatt hour battery pack.
03:41 Now beyond that, this battery pack puts out a total of 28 Newton meters of torque and
03:47 the power figures of this is 4.2 kilowatts of power.
03:51 Now with all of this, as I mentioned, it obviously increases the top speed.
03:56 So with the 3.2 kilowatt hour battery pack, we can achieve a top speed of 73 kilometres
04:00 per hour and achieve the new and updated range of 126 kilometres.
04:06 So this one is the tech pack and so what are the features you get?
04:09 It gets a charging time of 4 hours 30 minutes, it gets hill hold assist, it gets a reverse
04:16 mode and a lot of features just to add your convenience, just to make your life easier
04:21 on the scooter.
04:22 So Chetak is really focused on user-friendliness, on convenience and for ease of use.
04:28 So with the tech pack features, that's what you get.
04:31 The customer does not need to struggle to use the Chetak, everything is given to them.
04:36 So this was the new and updated Chetak electric scooter.
04:40 I hope you guys enjoyed the video.
