00:14 We would just see their tails wagging in unison.
00:18 And it was just the cutest thing we'd ever seen.
00:22 We live on a fairly busy street in New York.
00:26 And people would stop to say hello.
00:31 We were seeing people taking pictures of them.
00:35 They'd walk past and say, "These dogs are so cute."
00:38 And Posy and Ralph love the attention.
00:42 We first noticed it when we would come home
00:46 and they would be sitting by the window,
00:48 staring at us and staring out the window.

00:55 We created a little perch for them to people watching.

01:02 They have certain regulars that they get very excited about.

01:11 They'll see people coming from a block away,
01:13 and we're like, "Oh, okay, we know so-and-so is on their way here."
01:18 It was just really interesting to see how Posy and Ralph
01:21 were bringing people a lot of happiness
01:23 in kind of a rough time.
01:26 In 2020, I saw a picture of Ralph,
01:30 who was available for fostering.
01:32 Within 24 hours of him being here,
01:36 he and Posy had such a bond,
01:38 and we could tell that they were really just meant to be together.
01:43 Their relationship is very sweet,
01:46 and of course their charm drew people in.
01:49 People will bring them all sorts of treats.
01:53 We would actually start making a lot of new friends.
01:57 She's about 6 now.
01:59 People will stop us every time we take them out.

02:04 Just telling us how much they love the dogs
02:07 and that their days are better
02:09 because they get to see Posy and Ralph in the morning.

02:15 is that Posy and Ralph have this little community of people
02:18 who are so generous with their time.

02:23 It was really unexpected to see the impact
02:27 they were having on people.
02:29 Because of them, this neighborhood feels
02:32 much more neighborhood-y than anywhere in New York I've ever lived.
02:36 Coming home to the two of them is really wonderful.
02:40 It's hard not to be smiling when you're around them.
