00:06 and today we're just doing something a little different, we're going to go out and try some food which has actually been recommended by our readers themselves.
00:12 So last summer we put out a bit of a call to arms to get our readers to write in with their favourite suggestions for their beloved kebab places,
00:22 where's the best place after a night out to go and get a big dirty kebab which will make you feel really good, which will solve that hangover, cure it before it even hits after a few too many jars of an evening.
00:32 Where's the best place to get some proper authentic shawarma, you know those really authentic Middle Eastern flavours, where's the best place to go in Preston to go for that kind of food.
00:43 So we put out this call and we got loads of responses, you were kind of responding in your droves and you were all very opinionated and very clear on which one was your favourite which is great.
00:52 And we put out a bit of a story, doing a bit of a round up, but one in particular carried on getting mentioned and that is Royal Shawarma on Fryer Gate.
00:59 So today I just thought let's go down and try it out, do a bit of a food review, see what it's all about, see if you are actually right and just see what all the fuss is about really.
01:08 So today I'm just heading down to the Royal Shawarma on Fisher Gate to try out their chicken shawarma wrap, so let's see how it goes.

01:20 Yeah, lunchtime, hungry, ready to try something new, always on the lookout for some tasty kebabs and this one's obviously been recommended by lots of readers, always mentioned as one of the top ones in Preston.
01:33 So yeah, just walking across now, let's go check it out.
01:37 So I may not have been hungover owing to the fact that this was on a Tuesday and I was in work at the time, but still you can never quite beat a kebab when you're in the mood for something quick and easy.
01:49 Just something that you know will fill you up, make you feel a bit warm inside with the chilly weather we've had recently.
01:55 So I thought what better time to try out one of the best recommended kebabs in Preston and see what all the fuss is about.
02:02 So I made my way to Royal Shawarma just across the way and yeah, here's what I found inside.

02:34 That's it guys, food secured, dead quick service, really, really efficient, really quick.
02:40 Nice and reasonable as well, I've gone for a chicken wrap with salad, a chicken shawarma wrap, costs about £4.
02:45 So bang on, let's go taste it.
02:47 Hi guys, yeah, so we're back from Royal Shawarma on Friargate now, back in the office, nice and quiet, lunchtime, everyone's out so I thought I'd try this now.
02:55 Like I said, got the chicken wrap and service is dead quick, dead cheap and cheerful, easy, perfect for a lunchtime when you just want to grab a quick bite to eat.

03:10 Like I said, I went for the chicken wrap, looks absolutely incredible, let's have a try.
03:22 Really nice, really fresh, nice and juicy, chicken's not too dry.

03:31 They offer you a really, really wide use of a salad bar there as well, so you can get everything on it, you can get some red cabbage, you can get some jalapenos, you can get some hummus on it as well.
03:41 Really adds to the whole thing.
03:42 The naans are made fresh on site, they've literally got a bread oven, a naan oven on the side.
03:48 And they hand make it for you right on the spot before you eat it, so absolutely brilliant.
03:52 10/10, can't fault it really, that's an absolute bargain at £4.
03:55 Definitely recommend it.
04:00 Anyway, enough of my ugly mug on camera chomping away, here's a bit of a close up of the kebab.
04:05 Like I said, they freshly make the naan on site, really, really nice, lovely bread to go with the chicken which is dead succulent and the salad on top.
04:13 All around this was just, it was a 10/10 lunch, so yeah, definitely recommend it, check it out if you can.
