Bristol Balloon Fiesta will be shorter this year: What are the top stories this week?
As ever it has been a busy week in the city of bristol from the announcement of the balloon fiesta alterations to new figures on knife crime. But what are the top stories?

00:06 and we are going to be discussing the top five news stories in the city this week.
00:11 So Charlie, can you tell us about the first top story this week?
00:14 So our top story this week is that there is going to be huge changes to the Bloom Fiesta this year.
00:21 So the organisers have announced that the festival will be a day less than usual,
00:27 taking place over three days instead of four this year. So starting on Friday rather than a Thursday.
00:34 There will still be two night glows and take-offs, which are a key part of the event.
00:41 Thank you, Charlie. So we will see how that one pans out at this fiesta.
00:46 So can we move on to our second top story this week? Tell me about that.
00:49 So our second story is that new plans have been unveiled for the redevelopment of a long-running
00:57 music shop in Bristol. So the plans by Mickleburg Musical Instruments
01:03 will see the 120-year-old building knocked down.

01:14 So shall we move on to our third top story this week? Tell me about that.
01:18 So our next story is that it has been announced that a popular store is going to be moving into
01:26 a former Wilko in Bristol. So Farm Foods is set to take over the unit previously occupied by the
01:34 discount retailer at Avon Meads Retail Park. So this shop was one of the few across the city
01:42 that shut when Wilko's went into administration last year, and it's been empty since.
01:49 But Farm Foods is set to open there on April 18th, which many people are excited about and
01:57 looking forward to shopping there. Ah, so that's an exciting one for retail
02:02 in the city this year. So shall we move on to our fourth top story this week? Tell me about that.
02:07 So the opening of a new secondary school, a much-needed school, I should say, in South
02:14 Bristol has been delayed yet again. So Oasis Academy, Daventry Road is not set to open in
02:22 Norwest until 2026, now the Academy Trust is saying. So this 900-place school was first
02:30 announced in 2019 and was originally due to open in 2023.

02:40 Our final top story, and ending on a positive note, is that Noah's Fish and Chip
02:46 Shop in Bristol has been named one of the best in the country.
