00:00 Welcome to DRIVESPARK, I'm Vedant Johari and today we are at a motor farm located in Kanakpura
00:10 for Rice Motors Trail R Academy.
00:13 So the Rice Motors Trail R Academy is basically an off-road academy for those who are interested
00:27 in honing their skills and building their skills and Rice Motors is also not only offering
00:32 them this training academy, they are also giving them a free set of tyres for this.
00:36 Not just for the training but they also get to take the tyres back home.
00:40 So what all do they do at the Trail R Academy?
00:42 Well, they teach you how to place your feet correctly on the footpegs, how to position
00:47 your body when you are cornering, also when to brake, when to stand up and ride, when
00:53 to sit down and ride, how to corner on dirt and everything basic that that's required
00:58 to know for off-road riding.
01:00 So the trainers for the Trail R Academy, we have one Indian and one American.
01:05 Now the Indian we have Asad Khan, again a name in the off-roading aspects of motorsports
01:10 in India and Brendan Sipple.
01:13 Brendan Sipple represented Rice Motors in the Indian Supercross Racing League in the
01:18 450cc category.
01:19 So these two are our trainers, people with a whole lot of experience and getting trained
01:23 by an international rider gives you that slight international exposure that we require here
01:29 in India.
01:30 So Motor Farm, they offer a whole lot of stuff such as flat-tracking experience, enduro experience,
01:36 motocross jumps and this is not only for two-wheelers but also four-wheelers.
01:41 They have a pretty big course over here, 1.4km to be exact and throughout this course you
01:47 will see a whole lot of different stuff such as hanking corners, you will see places where
01:53 you can articulate your suspension, you have small inclines, you have hick lines, you have
01:58 pure grass, you have dirt, you have all sorts of terrain over here and this not only helps
02:04 in building your skill but you can also test out tyres such as what Rice Motors is also
02:09 doing over here.
02:11 We aren't just getting an experience of how to ride but we're also seeing what their tyres
02:15 are capable of because we are allowed to push the bike to its limit even though there are
02:20 trainers, the moment the trainers feel you're faster than the rest of the group, they're
02:23 going to pull you out and send you to another section of the track where there are fewer riders.
02:27 So now the riders are set on the next obstacle which is this balancing beam that they have
02:40 over here, so the riders need to make it from the start till the end and then they go into
02:44 a drop and then they come into this massive pump that we have here.
02:48 This teaches the rider a lot about foot positioning, body positioning, throttle control and brake
02:53 control.
02:54 So now I have one of the customers with me who is actually experiencing this whole event,
03:05 so if you could first introduce yourself please.
03:07 Yeah, myself Amit, I ride Himalayan actually, I came here for off-roading training actually,
03:13 I got to know about this RISE Moto actually from social media.
03:19 Yeah, okay fine.
03:20 How was your experience like over here?
03:22 Yeah, according to me, my experience was fabulous actually, they set the basics right here,
03:29 we learned, actually they started from the basics, we had a briefing there, what basics
03:34 have to be learned, after basics we came to the track, then they have explained everything,
03:40 how to sit on the bike, how to keep your leg, what is your foot position, how the body position
03:45 should be, so we learned everything, then we hit the track, it was nice actually.
03:50 So what all did you learn over here, I mean you have ridden off-road before, what all
03:54 did you find new over here?
03:56 See I am an off-roader, in fact I am a tourer, but I am interested in off-roading, but I
04:03 was doing some mistakes, that I corrected, I came to know by these trainers actually,
04:07 Brendan, Sifnan and Asad, so by them I corrected my mistakes, whatever I was doing in my previous
04:13 rides, so that's what we learned, because I was keeping my foot away, so now I am keeping
04:20 inside now, so that I am getting more confident on the bike, the bike is very stable now,
04:26 inside my legs now, so that's some, all the minor mistakes I have corrected here.
04:31 Nice, nice, and now finally, so RISE Moto has called you to test out their Trail R tyres
04:36 right?
04:37 Yeah, they are really wonderful on the track man, seriously, I literally felt that it's
04:41 more grounded now, and the cornering and all, it was very nice, it was very stable, I got
04:47 more confidence on the bike now, it's easy to ride now.
04:50 So no slipping, no much slipping?
04:51 No slipping, yeah, since it's a soft compound now, it's very nice to ride on the tracks
04:56 and off-road trails like this.
05:04 My name is Brendan Sipple, I'm from Austin, Texas, United States of America, I'm 23 years
05:09 old and I ride for RISE Motorsports.
05:11 Nice, nice, so when did you get into riding?
05:14 I got into riding when I was about 8 or 9 years old, so I've been riding for about 15-16
05:19 years.
05:20 Crazy, and so you've been racing abroad mostly right?
05:24 In the US and stuff?
05:25 Yeah, in the US and Canada.
05:26 Yeah, so now how would you think of the motorsports infrastructure in India?
05:30 To be honest, I'm very surprised, it's a lot bigger than I was expecting, the fans are
05:35 a lot more exciting than I was expecting, they hype me up pretty well, I love it over
05:40 here, personally, I've been over here for about 65 days now, so I'm very excited to
05:46 be over here, I'm very blessed and I think it's awesome over here.
05:50 Perfect, insane, so now we just had the training school for the RISE Training Academy, so how
05:55 would you think of the tyres that they're just launching now?
05:58 Oh I think the tyres they're launching are perfect, especially for these kind of training
06:01 camps and these kind of bikes, I think they're the best tyres out there, I personally am
06:07 excited to run the Moto tyres when I get back home and do some testing on them, so I think
06:13 what they're doing as a company is amazing, I'm very grateful that they have the motocross
06:18 team but also grateful with what they're providing for the sport, for motorsports.
06:23 Nice, ok my last question to sum up everything, what do you think of MotoFarm, so you just
06:29 took all the customers through different obstacles, through different sections, what do you think
06:33 of the whole layout of this track?
06:36 I think the layout of this track is awesome, I think it's perfect for what everybody out
06:39 here needs, I think it provides everything and anything that a motor rider and an adventure
06:46 rider needs and every different aspect of this is perfect, I mean, the owner here has
06:52 provided so much for all the riders out here and anybody should be blessed to have this
06:57 place near them.
06:58 So now I have the owner of the MotoFarm with me, so if you could please introduce yourself.
07:10 Hi guys, this is Dishank and I am the chief instructor of MotoFarm.
07:16 What was your whole plan of starting MotoFarm?
07:19 So the whole agenda behind starting this place was, we had very limited access towards
07:27 either a recreational track or a race dedicated track, at least in Bangalore, yes, though
07:36 we have a couple of more places, we just wanted to add a little more fun to the business and
07:44 the industry, so that was the whole point and I think we are kind of doing great because
07:52 I think the south part of Bangalore didn't have a recreational place like this, apart
07:58 from go-karting and ADVs, there was no dedicated place for a 4x4 and adventure bikes, so our
08:08 main focus was towards adventure bikes and slowly we started adding the 4x4s.
08:16 What can you guys offer with MotoFarm to the public?
08:19 So we have different levels of training, so starting from level 0 I would say, adventure
08:27 level 0, so when I say level 0, it doesn't mean we teach someone who doesn't know how
08:34 to ride a bike, level 0 is more of unlearning and learning, because for example if someone
08:43 is about 25 or 30 years old, they will roughly have about 6 to 7 years or even more of riding
08:49 experience, so we will have to make sure that they unlearn a lot of things and then make
08:57 them learn the right way of riding, so riding, there is a difference between riding to have
09:04 fun and controlled fun while riding, so when you learn the right techniques, that is when
09:11 the controlled fun starts, so that is when you start having fun on off-road, fun on adventure
09:17 rides and stuff, just on straight highways you do high speeds and try to control the
09:22 bike, that's not fun technically, you should know when, where and why, these are the questions
09:31 you need to ask before throttling, engine braking and applying the brakes, so these
09:37 are something which we focus on and then we have advanced level of training where we have
09:43 also started race training programme from this year, so from past 3 years we were not
09:48 into that space, but from 2024 since we are completing 4 years of Motor Farm, so we have
09:54 started the race training programme.
09:58 So ok, so now this race training programme that you just mentioned, is it for everyone
10:02 or do you have certain age categories that you would prefer to train?
10:05 No, this is open for everyone, but as of now we are focusing on women's category, ok fine,
10:11 nice, because that is one space where the academies haven't focused much on, there are
10:19 female kids, but female riders who want to get into the sport, so they were not getting
10:27 the right platform, so we are catering to women who are interested in racing and building
10:33 a career out of it.
10:34 Great, very nice, so now this leads me to my final question, today you had this collaboration
10:39 with RACE, do you have any future plans of collaboration for training for the public
10:43 or just training academies that you plan on hosting with tyre companies?
10:48 Yes, I think RACE team would be the right people to answer this, but as of now I think
10:55 we have delivered whatever standards they had asked for and we have stuck to that and
11:00 we have sort of delivered it and we have another day to go where it has trails and more track
11:06 time and stuff, so post that yes, maybe we just sit back and see if we can bring more
11:12 training sessions like this for the public.
11:14 So for your level 0 and level 1 trainings, there will be a cost for that, for people
11:19 to come, so if you could just give us like a ballpark figure of how much it could be?
11:23 Ok, so the level 0 or the level 1 would pretty much be the same price, falling between 4500
11:33 to 6500, so the price slab differs on the number of people in a group, if they are coming
11:41 in a group, the prices will obviously vary, if it is an individual, we consider it as
11:48 private training and private training falls somewhere between 8500 to 10500 a day, so
11:59 that's going to be a one day, complete 6 hours program, the level 0 or level 1 is basically
12:05 a 3 hours program because we do not want to push people way too much on the very first
12:11 day of their training, so that's the reason we had to break the training, split it into
12:16 multiple hours and then teach, because this is not just about brain memory, it is about
12:22 muscle memory, so to erase muscle memory, it takes a lot of time, if it is brain memory,
12:29 it's more of you read, you just recollect it, you have to fully unlearn stuff, so it's a
12:37 lot of time, so what we do is after level 0 or level 1, we ask people to train and these
12:43 trainings you don't have to come back to a dirt park to train, after level 0 or level
12:48 1, these are something very basic for you to even sit on the bike, so these few drills
12:57 can be actually practiced on your daily commute, so the more you concentrate on, because most
13:04 of the time you use a bike for your daily commute, so few body positions, if you fix
13:11 it right while riding on the street, yes trust me, your trail rides and off-roading is super
13:16 fun.
13:17 Right, of course, so okay, thank you so much for your time and I wish you guys all the
13:21 best and it's great to see people actually looking out for the future of more sports
13:26 in India.
13:27 All in all, that was the Rice Motors Trail Hour Academy, I hope you guys enjoyed this
13:33 video, don't forget to like, comment and subscribe, my name is Vedant Johari, signing
13:38 off.
