00:00 Hello there, Connor Gormley here, a trainee reporter for Sussex World and these are
00:05 our top stories from across both East and West Sussex today. A McDonald's in
00:10 New Haven has closed down temporarily on Friday after a customer entered the
00:15 restaurant with their pet snake and its lunch, a handful of live insects. The snake
00:20 owner was asked to leave and staff conducted a thorough deep clean of the
00:23 restaurant before reopening later that day. Pest control experts were called out
00:27 to the restaurant over the weekend to carry out precautionary checks. The
00:30 spokesperson said all seems to be largely okay now but it was clearly a
00:34 bit of a shock for people just trying to enjoy their lunch. Chichester Recycling
00:38 Centre is set to remain closed for the time being following a fire on Friday.
00:42 West Sussex Fire and Rescue teams attended the incident shortly after
00:46 midday and the blaze was successfully extinguished and no one was hurt but the
00:49 Recycling Centre is not set to reopen for quite some time. Meanwhile in St.
00:54 Leonard's-on-Sea an award-winning cafe and restaurant is up for sale. Owners of
00:58 Remy's Culinaria are looking to sell in order to facilitate their retirement
01:02 plans and the business has been listed on UKbusinessesforsale.com where it is
01:06 said to generate a turnover of £145,000 I assume every year. It's got a
01:13 relaxed and cozy vibe with several wards under its belt and a
01:17 really really well established following in the town. But that's all from me today
