00:03 Army bomb disposal experts have detonated a device that was found in Derbyshire last night.
00:09 The device, which is thought to be an unexploded mortar round, was safely detonated in a field near Ilkeston.
00:16 Police were called to the Langley Avenue area of Cotmanhay at around 6.40pm yesterday, after a member of the public found the device on grassland.
00:25 A cordon was put in place and a number of homes were evacuated while the item was secured.
00:30 The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit of the Army were called in and moved the device to a nearby field, before it was then destroyed in a controlled explosion at around 10.40pm.
00:40 People living nearby may have heard a loud explosion, but police have sought to reassure them that there is no reason to be alarmed.
00:47 The family of Christine Everett Hickson have paid tribute to her following her death after an incident in Riddings on the 18th February.
00:57 Christine was found with life-threatening injuries and taken to hospital, however in the hours of the 23rd February, the 21-year-old sadly died.
01:05 Christine's family have now issued the following tribute.

01:09 "Christine was a joyful, kind-hearted and affectionate daughter.
01:13 She was one of four beloved sisters who describe her as having one of life's purest hearts.
01:18 Her charming nature always sought out the best in everyone and everything.
01:22 She had the most infectious smile and laugh and could brighten up even the darkest of days.
01:27 Losing her will forever leave a void in our family that will never be filled, as she really was one of life's true blessings and she will be missed beyond words."
01:36 Cain Tailby of Greenhill Lane's Riddings has been charged with murder and on Friday appeared via video link at Derby Crown Court.
01:44 He pleaded not guilty.
01:46 He has now been remanded in prison custody and will stand trial on July 29th.
