'Afro Goth To Bling Queen' - I Miss My Big Hair | TRANSFORMED

SANDIE, 21, from Connecticut, describes her unique look as 'Afro Goth', which is 'dark, stylish and a little bit spooky'! Sandie has dressed this way since a young girl and as her style developed it became more than just a 'look'. Sandie told Transformed: "Afro Goth embraces black culture as well as Goth culture kind of mixed together. A lot of Goth culture involves being pale and ghostly. A lot of the time black people tend to feel unappreciated or not included in the community. So, Afro Goth exists to say, hey we're here and we also can be Goth." Today, Sandie is doing something she thought she never would... Stepping away from her 'Afro Goth' aesthetic and being transformed into a 'Bling Queen', something she's always loved as her mum Niesha used to dress this way. Sandie said: "When I hear Bling Queen, I think of the 2000's, Juicy Couture, a lot of pink, a lot of big earrings. I haven't seen myself in any colour or different style in a long time so it's gonna be cool to see if I can draw inspiration from it." Makeup artist Christine will be making the transformation happen, but how will Niesha and Sandie's best friend Fae react? Will they want the newly crowned 'Bling Queen' to stay? Or will they want the 'Afro Goth' to return?
