00:00 Thanks for joining us Evie, you're off to represent Victoria at the U17 Netball National Championships.
00:05 How are you feeling?
00:06 Yeah, feeling very excited, just keen to see what the team can put out on court after all our trainings.
00:11 A bit nervous but just keen to get out there.
00:15 And you're going to be playing a bit of a different role to what you play here in Warrnambool, can you tell us about that?
00:19 Yeah, so here at Warrnambool I play more of the traditional holding golf shooter, but up in Melbourne I've been swung a bit to defence,
00:25 which is a totally different game, but it's been great to just adapt to different positions on court.
00:31 Excellent, and what does it mean to you to represent Victoria?
00:33 Yeah, it's always been a goal of mine just to get to the highest level that I can, so it's definitely exciting and very surreal to be able to represent them on court.
00:44 Has there been anyone on your journey locally that's helped you get to this point?
00:47 Yeah, all Warrnambool Blues, I've been playing open a bit and all those older girls have definitely helped, just give little bits of advice into my game.
00:57 And yeah, just coaches, Stacey O'Sullivan who's had me for a few representative teams, she's been great.
01:02 Just yeah, all the coaches and players that I play with have been great.
01:06 And what about on a national or international level, is there any players that you look up to?
01:10 I definitely love watching all the Suncorp, SSN players, but I wouldn't say anyone in particular, but definitely love watching the Vixens, yeah, so I'd say any of them.
01:20 Yeah, so best of luck Aida.
01:22 Thank you.
