The band of rain will continue to move northwards across the east of Scotland through the evening. An organised band of showers moves north-eastwards across Northern Ireland and into northern England and south-western Scotland late evening and into Monday morning. Showers affect the south west of England and Wales, before another persistent band of rain moves across Northern Ireland.– This is the Met Office UK Weather forecast for the evening of 28/04/24. Bringing you today’s weather forecast is Marco Petagna.

00:00Hello, here's your latest weather update from the Met Office. I'm Marco Pitania.
00:03We'll hold on to outbreaks of rain towards the northeast of the UK during the course of this
00:07evening, gradually pushing away towards the northeast, so it'll be the northern isles
00:10holding on to wet conditions as we head into the early hours of Monday. Elsewhere,
00:14there'll be some clear spells for a time, but notice showers gathering out towards the west
00:17give way to some more persistent rain out across the far west of the UK by Monday morning.
00:21So by the end of the night, a fairly unsettled picture with the clearest skies lingering
00:25towards the southeast. Under the clear slots across the southeast and certainly towards
00:29the northeast there too, we could see a touch of frost in sheltered spots, temperatures here
00:33locally down close to freezing, but on the whole it's a frost-free night to come.
00:38As for Monday, we'll see an east-west split in the weather across the UK. Outbreaks of rain at
00:42times out towards the west, some of that turning quite heavy and moving north into Scotland as we
00:46head through the course of the afternoon. So again, it'll be the east and again the southeast,
00:50especially seeing the best of the dry, often fairly sunny weather. And in the sunshine
00:54towards the southeast, it will feel fairly warm, temperatures up to 16 or 17 Celsius. 17 there in
01:00London is 63 in Fahrenheit, much warmer than in recent days. And even towards the northwest,
01:04given the wet conditions, temperatures aren't too bad for the time of year, 12 to 14 Celsius.
01:10As we head into the evening, we hold on to further outbreaks of rain towards the north and west.
01:14So again, it's the southeast of the UK as we go through Monday night that we'll see the clearest
01:18of these skies, always wettest us out towards the north and west, quite blustery at times here too.
01:23Some of those outbreaks of rain still on the heavy side. A much milder night than recent
01:27nights across the UK, certainly frost free, lowest values in the range 7 to 10 Celsius.
01:33As for Tuesday, well once again an east-west split in the weather is likely. It'll be the
01:37west again, seeing the worst of the conditions, outbreaks of rain at times, again some of the
01:40rain quite heavy, moving from south to north as we go through the day. So further east and again
01:45towards the southeast, plenty of dry and bright weather around, just one or two showers towards
01:49the southeast as we head into the afternoon. Temperature is pretty warm, up to 17 or 18
01:54Celsius towards the southeast of the UK, nearer mid-teens towards the north and northwest.
01:59That's pretty much it for me, but you can keep tuned to the Met Office forecast by following
