00:04 no matter what you seem to be doing,
00:06 your morning routine may be to blame.
00:07 Tim Ferriss has three new rules
00:09 that you must do within 30 minutes of waking up
00:12 to reshape your body by doing barely nothing at all.
00:15 It's easy, folks, that's what we're talking about today.
00:17 So Karen says that she would like
00:18 to change her morning routine.
00:19 So how do you start your mornings normally?
00:21 Right now I wake up to my children
00:24 and the chaos of two little boys.
00:25 I have a seven year old and a five year old
00:28 and I love them deeply,
00:29 but it's all about them from the time I wake up.
00:32 It's getting them dressed and getting them off to the bus.
00:35 And once they're on the bus,
00:37 then finally I can say, all right, now what do I start?
00:40 You are not alone.
00:41 So we're gonna help you jumpstart your day,
00:43 but you gotta do it by following a few simple rules.
00:45 Now I've already talked about Tim's big breakthrough idea,
00:48 which is that you've gotta have 30/30 rule
00:50 in the back of your mind ingrained.
00:51 That means specifically 30 grams of protein
00:54 within 30 minutes of waking up in the morning.
00:56 Can you all do that?
00:57 That has transformed the lives of women across the country.
01:01 I've heard it from countless individuals.
01:03 That's simple to do.
01:04 But we've got three new tips we're gonna talk about today.
01:06 The first tip we're gonna talk about
01:08 is using all fat cream in your coffee.
01:12 You heard me right, all fat cream in your coffee.
01:14 Now why is that better than using skim milk
01:16 or creamers and the like?
01:18 - Well, many women think they're doing the right thing
01:19 by using skim milk, fat free creamer, like you mentioned.
01:23 The downside is that actually spikes insulin.
01:26 And it turns out that the most delicious stuff of all,
01:28 which is full fat cream, does not spike insulin.
01:31 So we have seen with this one change,
01:33 'cause people are already drinking coffee,
01:34 making that swap, we see some women,
01:36 including women who have two, three kids,
01:38 losing an additional two pounds of fat.
01:39 And of course, the longer you use it,
01:41 the more the benefits.
01:42 But that small tweak can produce that type of change.
01:45 - Two pounds of fat?
01:46 - Yeah, and so what I suggest
01:48 is typically two tablespoons of cream.
01:50 So I'll just dose that out.
01:51 It doesn't need to be exact.
01:52 - This seems pretty easy and fun to do.
01:54 - Super easy. - What do you think?
01:55 - I could do this.
01:56 - Super easy. - Is that hard?
01:56 - Yeah. - Super easy.
01:57 And very, very tasty.
01:59 So that's it.

02:04 - Here's the second big thing Tim's recommending.
02:06 It's called the fat flushing tea.
02:09 And what's in a fat flushing tea?
02:11 The name's fantastic.
02:12 - This is yerba mate tea.
02:14 This is one of my favorites.
02:16 And the reason is that it acts through two mechanisms
02:19 to help you lose fat.
02:20 The first is that it speeds your digestion
02:22 for the entire day.
02:23 So you can have it in the morning in place of coffee.
02:25 You don't have to use all of these.
02:26 You can choose one.
02:27 The second is that it actually reduces your fat absorption
02:30 because it decreases something called lipase,
02:32 which is reduced from the pancreas.
02:33 You don't have to know how it works, just that it works.
02:35 Give it a taste, if you like it.
02:36 I tell you what's most stunning to me
02:38 is that 95% of households in some parts of the world,
02:42 South America, use this.
02:43 So it's a staple.
02:44 It certainly can work for us as well.

02:52 - It's full of antioxidants.
02:55 It's chocked full of vitamins.
02:56 It's a very, very good addition to someone's daily routine.
03:00 - All right, that's two now.
03:01 Now, you can choose either one,
03:02 but this third one you can use with the first two.
03:04 And it's an idea that a lot of folks may have thought about,
03:07 but we see it's very concrete about it.
03:08 This is called cassia cinnamon cheat.
03:11 So not all cinnamon is created equally.
03:13 Teach us a little bit about cassia cinnamon
03:15 and how cinnamon can be beneficial,
03:17 especially in conjunction with the coffee, for example.
03:18 - Absolutely.
03:19 So this cassia cinnamon in particular
03:21 can be thought of as blood sugar insurance.
03:24 So it helps to prevent the rollercoaster ride
03:26 that a lot of people experience throughout the day.
03:27 And the way that you tell the difference, of course,
03:29 between these two is that Ceylon,
03:32 which is not what you want to get necessarily,
03:33 rolls up from both sides, almost like a scroll.
03:36 - Oh, yeah.
03:37 - Whereas cassia looks more like bark
03:38 and will very often roll up from one side,
03:41 like a cigar or something like that.
03:43 You can take this, put a little bit into your coffee.
03:45 You could certainly put it into your tea.
03:47 You could sprinkle it onto your cottage cheese
03:49 in the morning if that's what you're having.
03:51 And it helps to allow you to maintain stable blood sugar,
03:55 helps to reduce the likelihood of gaining fat,
03:58 and all you need is a little teaspoon and you're done.
04:01 You know, you should start biting on this right now.
04:02 Just with all those kids.
