00:00Hello and a very good morning to you on this Thursday morning. Most of us seeing
00:04some sunshine through the day, although overnight into this morning I've seen a
00:09bit more cloud move in across England and Wales and eastern Scotland. And
00:12that's because we do have a slight easterly component to the wind, a bit of
00:16a breeze down towards central and southern parts through today, like the
00:20last few days. High pressure extends though across the country influencing
00:24our weather, keeping things settled through Thursday before we see some
00:29changes come in from the south on Friday in the form of some heavy and
00:34thundery showers. So if you're stepping out first thing this morning, a bit chilly
00:37across Scotland and Northern Ireland, mists and fog patches which will burn
00:41off. A bit more clouds along this east coast as well as the far northwest of
00:44Scotland. Stubborn clouds extensive across much of England and Wales, away
00:49from this western side here and also perhaps the far southeast of England, but
00:53even here you'll see a bit of a breeze. So this cloud could produce the odd
00:57spot or two a drizzle over the higher ground first thing this morning, but
01:02through the morning it will slowly break up, burning back to the coast, allowing
01:07for some sunshine to come through. So after a bit of a dull start it will
01:11brighten here. A lovely day across Scotland and Northern Ireland, northern
01:15England as well, and notice by around lunchtime that cloud has broken, allowing
01:20for some sunny skies. We could see one or two patches of stubborn clouds along
01:24this east coast here, but generally speaking it's a warm day with some
01:28sunshine. Temperatures rising very nicely through the afternoon, coming in the low
01:3320s across western Scotland. Northern Ireland also around 18 or 19, 20 or 21, 22
01:38for Wales and 26 down towards the southeast, along that east coast, probably
01:43the mid to high teens. Now that cloud returns through Thursday evening and
01:49overnight. We continue to see low cloud towards the far north of Scotland again,
01:54some patchy drizzle can't be ruled out where the cloud is thick enough. Keeping
01:57temperatures up though across England and Wales, still a bit of a fresh start
02:00today across western Scotland, rural spots of Northern Ireland, particularly
02:04towards the west. And then on Friday the cloud eventually will break across many
02:09areas, but notice towards the south will inherit some thunderstorms which will
02:13slowly move northwards and they are likely to be heavy with the risk of hail,
02:17particularly across central and southern parts of England and Wales, but fairly
02:20scattered through Friday. Fine and dry elsewhere, lovely sunshine towards the
02:24west, the cloud could be rather stubborn further east. And it's a similar
02:27situation on Saturday, so rather unsettled across central and southern
02:31parts of England and Wales. These showers may move slightly further north as well
02:34and always the risk of thunder as well as hail into Sunday as well. See you later.
