00:00 Good morning and welcome to your national morning weather update from the Met Office.
00:05 We've got a lot of low cloud around giving a murky start but some decent sunshine later
00:10 on. So the low cloud is really focused across eastern parts through this morning so a gloomy
00:15 start but that will start lifting and breaking as we go through late morning, perhaps just
00:21 holding on to some cloud further across northern England. Elsewhere, many places seeing a dry
00:27 day today. We will still see some showers, especially across north western parts of Northern
00:33 Ireland. These could be heavy, perhaps with the odd rumble of thunder as well, but on
00:37 the whole many places seeing a dry day. And it will be feeling warm in that sunshine too.
00:43 We've got highs of up to 22, possibly 23 degrees, but across Scotland as well where you've seen
00:49 brighter skies today, it should be feeling warmer here and down that eastern coast as
00:54 well with all that low cloud clearing now through today. So many places seeing a fine
01:01 end to the day, many places seeing sunshine but cloud gradually breaking up across northern
01:06 parts of England. Any showers fading for a time. We'll see clear skies, especially across
01:11 parts of Scotland and down across Wales and towards the south west of England. But once
01:16 again the return of some low cloud, especially across parts of East Anglia. So murky here
01:23 once again. There may be some pockets of mist and fog underneath the clear skies as well,
01:28 and it'll be feeling chilly underneath those clear skies too, especially across Scotland,
01:32 dipping down into the single figures, otherwise holding up at around 10 or 11 degrees. So
01:38 a mixed picture to start Tuesday morning. Plenty of sunshine across Scotland and down
01:42 that western part of the UK, but otherwise low cloud once again. It will gradually start
01:48 breaking up, but many places seeing a mixture of sunny spells at times, but also a few showers.
01:55 Some of these showers could be heavy at times, especially across western parts through Tuesday.
01:59 There will also be the odd shower coming in towards the southeast as well. And again,
02:04 still some low cloud to look out for, especially across eastern coasts. But otherwise, temperatures
02:10 are going to be around average on Tuesday. It will still be feeling warm where we do
02:14 catch the sunshine, especially for parts of parts of Scotland. Highs here up to 20, possibly
02:21 21 degrees elsewhere. As we go further ahead into next week Wednesday, there's a low pressure
02:27 system that could bring some heavy rain at times, especially across eastern parts. But

02:35 I'll catch you soon. Bye bye.
