00:00Hi there, a sunny and warm Tuesday for the vast majority. Not everyone will get blue
00:06skies however, there is some cloudier weather into north and northwest Scotland because
00:12of this area of low pressure pushing into Iceland. That is going well to the north of
00:16the UK and the front will clear away leading to higher pressure for the vast majority and
00:23after any mist and fog patches clear away, blue skies for the vast majority. One or two
00:29exceptions, some patchy cloud into the east and southeast and also we've got that thicker
00:33cloud first thing in the north and northwest of Scotland, some quite low cloud first thing,
00:38some drizzle about but much of that will actually push further north through the day allowing
00:43sunnier and warmer weather to extend across much of Scotland. 21 there for Inverness,
00:48could see in one or two spots in the northeast of Scotland, temperatures approaching the
00:53mid-twenties because the winds by this stage will be coming in from the south or even the
00:58south-southwest and so they'll be moving over the hills and they'll be drying up and
01:03warming up as that happens. Elsewhere across the UK, typically 19 to 22 or 23 Celsius feeling
01:10pleasant enough in the mid-September sunshine. Now in the north of Scotland, the cloud will
01:15tend to disappear through the evening and clear skies will extend widely but the opposite
01:22happens towards the southeast as an easterly or east-northeasterly breeze picks up overnight
01:28we'll see some low cloud from the North Sea arrive into East Anglia, parts of the Midlands,
01:33perhaps East Wales. Further north and west under clear skies, temperatures will fall
01:38away and one or two isolated mist or fog patches will form but otherwise temperatures typically
01:449 to 12 Celsius but in some sheltered spots lower than that particularly in low lying
01:49spots not necessarily over the hills and mountains where you might normally expect the lower
01:54temperatures because of an atmospheric inversion. Nevertheless, we start off Wednesday with
01:58plenty of sunshine. Scotland and Northern Ireland as well as Northern England are best
02:03places for blue skies but there will be some cloud further south that will tend to nibble
02:08back towards the coast by the afternoon. However, parts of eastern England will be largely cloudy
02:14especially the North Sea beaches. Inland where we've got the sunshine, light winds, temperatures
02:20up to once again the low 20s, perhaps the mid 20s in some favoured spots but it's going
02:26to feel a bit cooler there towards the southeast with the freshening east-northeast breeze
02:30particularly on the immediate coast. Then into Wednesday night we see those clear skies
02:35widely some patchy cloud in the south and across central parts but Thursday's another
02:39fine day before some showers develop on Friday.
