Everton have struggled to get going at the start of the Premier League campaign with manager Sean Dyche feeling pressure on his role at the club. Unbeaten in three before the international break has taken the sting away from the poor form, but who’s been the standout player so far?

00:00How are Everton feeling after these few results that sort of take the sting off it a bit?
00:07Yeah, I think he's spot on there. I think he's right it takes the sting off it.
00:11I don't think all fans are still completely happy.
00:14But a point against Newcastle is a good result,
00:19especially when you consider that they had a penalty to score from and missed.
00:25The Leicester game, albeit Everton, were poor in the final 20 minutes.
00:34They were put under pressure, but they played well for a lot of that in the Crystal Palace game.
00:39They didn't play well in the first half, but in Sean's age he's seen some of the signs that,
00:44especially defensively, he hasn't seen for much of the campaign.
00:47As you say, when they're back in action after the international break,
00:51they go to Ipswich, which I think that's a winnable game.
00:54They've got Southampton at home, they've got Brentford.
00:57So you're looking at these games and thinking Everton can get results from these,
01:02and they're going to need to, definitely.
01:05Looking at Everton throughout the season so far, obviously we touched it wasn't the best of starts,
01:09but they are beaten in three in the Premier League now.
01:12Who's been their sort of player of the season so far?
01:14Obviously you've had a few games where it's been wonder performances from the likes of Dwight McNeil.
01:20He's certainly stood out from a neutral perspective, I think.
01:24But who do you sort of see? Obviously you know more, you see more of Everton.
01:28Who's maybe been towards that award so far this season for them?
01:33Yeah, Dwight McNeil's right up there, isn't he?
01:36As you say, some of his performances have been excellent.
01:41He was a little bit subdued against Newcastle, but all the attackers were.
01:45But in that number 10 role, he seems to be really thriving,
01:48and I think his stats are right up there among the best forwards in the Premier League.
01:53So yeah, definitely you have to tip your hat to him.
01:56Eileanon Dye has a really good start to his Everton career.
02:01Again, none of his best against Newcastle.
02:04Probably the best of the attackers, though, I must say.
02:07He's just a little bit of a street footballer,
02:10someone who adds, you know, something that Everton haven't had really.
02:14He gets fans off their feet, he can get Everton up the pitch,
02:17and now he's a lot fitter than when he came in.
02:20According to Sean's IQ, he can complete 90 minutes.
02:23I think in the start of the season, you're looking at Timmy Raboon,
02:28who has a really good opening to his Everton career after joining from Aston Villa.
02:33Surprised that a couple of people are looking at him as a long-term project.
02:39He's found himself out to the team now.
02:41Sean Dye has been leaning on experience,
02:44but his early performances haven't been forgotten yet,
02:47and you would think that there are going to be some calls from supporters
02:51for Raboon to get back into the midfield.
02:55But yeah, Dwight McNeil and Eileanon Dye, for me, are the standouts.
