00:00 As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
00:14 Alhamdulillah wa kafa.
00:16 Wa salamun 'ala ibadihi allatheena istafa amma ba'in.
00:20 Fa'udhu billahi minash shaitanir rajim.
00:22 Bismillahir rahmanir rahim.
00:35 We have been talking about people's rights for a long time, for many weeks.
00:44 And we are saying that it is very important to give people their rights.
00:48 If we do not give people their rights, God forbid, we will be arrested on the Day of Judgment.
00:53 In fact, we will be arrested.
00:55 People will be questioning their rights.
00:58 People will worship a lot.
01:01 They will do nafli worship, tasbihat and other good deeds.
01:06 But because people's rights will be ours, they will be questioning.
01:10 And people will not have a choice other than giving their good deeds to people.
01:16 They will do their own hard work and people will take our hard work.
01:20 What can be a bigger calamity than this?
01:23 And that too on the Day of Judgment, where the decision will be of heaven and hell.
01:27 That is why we have been talking about people's rights for a long time.
01:34 We have talked about specific rights.
01:36 And last week we started talking about people's rights in general.
01:42 In that we talked about the rights of Muslims in the beginning.
01:45 What are the rights of Muslims on Muslims.
01:48 And from that, giving a response to salam, salam karna, salam ka jawab dena.
01:54 Giving good advice to people, if they ask for advice.
01:58 If they fall ill, then we will do their Iyadat.
02:01 If they invite us, then we will accept their invitation.
02:04 If they sneeze and say Alhamdulillah, then we will say Ya Rahmukallah.
02:10 If they pass away, then we will go to their funeral.
02:13 These are all the rights of Muslims.
02:16 So from there, we will continue our discussion.
02:20 And a very big right of people, generally.
02:25 Prophet (PBUH) said in a Sahih Hadith
02:29 "La yu'minu ahadukum hatta yuhibba li akhihi ma yuhibbu li nafsihi"
02:34 "No one of you can be a believer, unless he likes what he likes for his brother."
02:43 This is a very important principle of our religion.
02:47 "No one of you can be a believer, unless he likes what he likes for his brother."
02:56 And in this, every person is included.
03:00 "Innamal mu'minoona ikhwatun"
03:03 Allah says that believers are brothers among each other.
03:07 So thinking good for everyone, liking what I like for myself.
03:14 If I like to be spoken to nicely, then I should speak nicely to everyone.
03:20 If I like that no one should deceive me, then I should not deceive anyone.
03:25 If I like that I should not be lied to, then I should not lie to anyone.
03:29 If I like that people should not insult me, then I should not insult anyone.
03:35 If I like that everyone should be sincere with me, then I should be sincere with everyone.
03:42 This is a very big principle.
03:45 If I like something for my family, then I should like that for my family.
03:50 If I like something for my children, then I should like that for my children.
03:55 If we understand this principle, and Allah's Messenger is saying that
04:01 "No one of you can be a believer, unless he likes what he likes for his brother."
04:08 For the perfection of faith, it is necessary to follow this principle.
04:14 It is necessary, not a choice.
04:17 If we want to be presented in front of Allah in such a way that we are believers,
04:25 then it is necessary to follow this principle.
04:28 This is not happening in our society.
04:33 And there are many examples of this.
04:35 We have repeatedly talked about this in many episodes.
04:39 There is a concept of "Tatfeef" in the Quran.
04:45 "Wa ila allil mutaffifin"
04:48 "Tawahiha barbadiha"
04:50 "Mutaffifin"
04:52 "Alladheena idhaqtaaloo 'alannasi yastawfoon wa idha qaaloohum awwazanoohum yukhsiroon"
04:58 When we ask people to give us something in a measured way, they give us a full amount.
05:06 But when we give it to others in a measured way, we reduce it, we lose it, we decrease it.
05:12 "Ala yadunna 'ulaika annahum abu'usoon"
05:15 They do not know, they do not have the belief that one day they will be presented in front of Allah.
05:21 "Li yaumin azeem"
05:23 On that big day, "Yauma yaqoomun nasoo li rabbil 'alameen"
05:27 All people will be standing in front of the Lord of the worlds.
05:31 So Allah is reminding us not to give "Tatfeef".
05:39 Whatever you like for yourself, you should like the same for others.
05:44 We have given different examples of this in previous episodes.
05:49 But as a reminder, for example, I have a daughter in my house.
05:55 I want my daughter to have respect in her in-laws.
05:59 Her husband should respect her, her mother-in-law and father-in-law should respect her.
06:04 So my son's wife, my daughter-in-law, she is also someone's daughter.
06:09 So if I want to respect my daughter, then I should respect my son's daughter.
06:16 I should respect her too.
06:19 If I want my daughter's husband to treat her better,
06:25 then I should also teach my son to treat his wife better.
06:32 What is there in our society?
06:37 That for our daughter, there is one principle and for our daughter-in-law, there are two principles.
06:40 This is "Tatfeef".
06:41 Whatever you like for yourself, you should like for others.
06:44 We have given other examples like this earlier.
06:49 I have talked about employers and employees.
06:53 As an employer, if I talk about my company and people work for me,
07:01 if I expect them to do good work for my company,
07:05 then I should also make sure that I take care of them.
07:07 I should pay their salary on time, I should not overburden them.
07:11 And vice versa, if I am an employee and I work for a company,
07:17 and I want my employer to treat me well, pay their salary on time,
07:21 then I should also make sure that I do my work properly,
07:26 I should not cheat, I should not lie, I should not deceive,
07:30 I should not do my personal work during working hours,
07:34 I should not take unlawful risks.
07:36 So, a person should do what he likes for himself for others.
07:43 Respect people, take care of people.
07:47 If I want people to give me a gift that will be useful for me,
07:55 then I should also give people the same gift.
07:59 If I want people not to deceive me, I should not deceive anyone.
08:03 People are like this, they give gifts and expect good things for themselves,
08:10 but for others they take something that is not good.
08:14 They lie, sometimes they put price tags on the gift
08:19 so that people know how much they have been given,
08:22 that how expensive the gift is.
08:25 Sometimes it happens that the gift is on sale.
08:28 I am giving practical examples.
08:30 The gift is on sale and the tag is removed.
08:33 The price without the tag is left on the gift.
08:37 They know and they ask people so that people know how expensive the gift is.
08:42 If this happens to me, will I like it?
08:45 I don't think so.
08:47 So, why am I doing this for people?
08:50 Similarly, if I want advice from someone,
08:53 I would like to be given good advice.
08:56 So, when people ask me for advice, I should give them good advice.
09:01 We have said this before, it is the right of Muslims
09:04 that if they ask for advice, you should give them good advice.
09:08 Because according to the Hadith, it is a trust that we give good advice to people.
09:13 So, please, we should follow this principle.
09:17 The Prophet (PBUH) said,
09:19 "No one among you can be a believer
09:23 until he likes what he likes for his brother."
09:28 If we follow this principle with all our heart,
09:33 we will understand this principle,
09:35 then God willing, good will spread.
09:39 Then, there are some other rights like in the Hadith,
09:42 the Prophet (PBUH) said,
09:44 "Do not be misled.
09:47 Avoid misunderstanding.
09:49 Avoid misunderstanding.
09:51 [Arabic]
09:54 Because misunderstanding is the biggest lie.
09:57 What is a lie?
10:01 It is when someone says something against the facts.
10:05 I have a misconception that it might have happened.
10:10 There is no data behind it.
10:12 There is no fact behind it.
10:14 I have not done anything without a fact,
10:16 without any data, without any proof,
10:19 I have said something about someone.
10:22 Right?
10:24 So, this is a lie.
10:25 It is the biggest lie.
10:27 So, please, we should think about this.
10:30 We become misled by small things.
10:34 It is mentioned in the Quran as well.
10:36 Allah says, "Do not be misled.
10:38 [Arabic]
10:40 Some misunderstandings are a sin.
10:42 Misunderstanding is a sin.
10:45 [Arabic]
10:49 The Prophet (PBUH) says,
10:51 "Do not look for each other's faults.
10:53 Do not spy on each other."
10:56 It is mentioned in the Quran as well.
10:58 "Do not spy on each other."
11:01 Do not interfere in people's affairs.
11:03 Do not try to find faults in people.
11:07 Why do you want to look for something that is not in front of you?
11:12 "Oh, I think there is something between husband and wife.
11:16 I should find out."
11:18 Why should you find out?
11:20 If there is something between a husband and wife,
11:23 pray to Allah that,
11:25 "O Allah, may the things in their hearts be alright."
11:28 A sincere person is like this.
11:31 A good person is like this.
11:33 If we find out about someone,
11:35 then we should pray for him,
11:37 "O Allah, may the things in their hearts be alright."
11:44 As opposed to,
11:45 we interfere in their affairs.
11:47 What is the purpose?
11:49 After interfering in their affairs,
11:51 we share with people.
11:53 Do I want my personal affairs to be in front of people?
11:57 People should discuss it.
11:59 If we talk about the previous hadith,
12:03 that, "You should like what you like for yourself."
12:07 Do I want my personal affairs to be the talk of the town?
12:11 Should everyone talk about it?
12:13 Of course not.
12:14 So, why should I interfere in people's personal affairs
12:20 and discuss it with people?
12:23 These are the demands of faith.
12:26 Allah's Messenger is saying,
12:28 Allah's Messenger is saying,
12:30 "Do not spy on people,
12:33 do not interfere in their affairs,
12:36 do not interfere in their internal affairs,
12:39 and do not be jealous of each other."
12:43 If Allah has given someone a blessing,
12:46 then be happy with it.
12:48 Pray for him.
12:49 May Allah bless you.
12:51 May Allah bless you in this blessing.
12:55 If you want, you can also ask Allah.
12:58 "Ask Allah for His blessings."
13:01 Instead of being jealous of someone's car,
13:06 how he got married,
13:09 how he had children,
13:11 how he got success.
13:13 Allah's Messenger is saying,
13:15 "Do not be jealous of each other,
13:17 do not interfere in their affairs."
13:20 If someone needs something,
13:23 if someone needs something,
13:26 if someone is in trouble,
13:29 then do not leave him alone.
13:32 "Do not be jealous of each other,
13:38 do not be jealous of each other."
13:40 "Be brothers and sisters to Allah."
13:45 Allah's Messenger is saying,
13:48 "Be brothers and sisters to Allah."
13:50 These are the rights of people.
13:52 Thinking good for people,
13:56 loving them,
13:58 not doing anything that will spread disorder,
14:01 spread disorder,
14:03 that will bring troubles,
14:05 that will cause problems.
14:06 Life can be very easy,
14:09 if we follow our religion.
14:11 We have made life difficult for ourselves.
14:14 We have put life in trouble.
14:18 "Do not be jealous of each other,
14:20 do not be jealous of each other."
14:24 Everyone should think good for each other,
14:26 love each other,
14:28 pray for each other,
14:30 respect each other,
14:32 respect those who like for themselves,
14:35 and like for those who like for themselves.
14:37 Just think,
14:38 close your eyes for a moment,
14:40 and imagine such an environment.
14:42 What a heavenly environment!
14:44 And this religion is teaching us.
14:46 This is what our religion teaches us.
14:48 This is what Allah is giving us.
14:50 This is what Allah's Messenger is telling us.
14:54 Our home environment will be better.
14:56 Our neighborhood,
14:58 our neighbors,
14:59 our neighborhood,
15:00 our relatives,
15:01 all will be peaceful and good.
15:04 But we have become those who do this.
15:08 Please,
15:10 we should take this seriously.
15:12 Look, I do not make myself remember,
15:15 I do not make you remember,
15:17 that these are the words of Allah and Allah's Messenger.
15:20 Peace be upon him.
15:22 These are the words of Allah and Allah's Messenger.
15:25 Peace be upon him.
15:26 Please, we cannot ignore them.
15:29 It will be very cruel on our own selves
15:33 if we ignore these words.
15:36 May Allah make us understand these words.
15:38 I am the first to act.
15:40 May Allah make all of you to act.
15:43 InshaAllah, we will take a short break.
15:45 After the break, we will be back with your questions.
15:47 You can email your questions to us at
15:49 deenfitrah@arydigital.tv
15:52 Peace be upon you.
15:54 Welcome back after the break.
15:56 Some people ask questions
15:58 that they have children
16:00 and they want to name their children.
16:03 Many times they ask for names
16:06 that this name is correct,
16:08 to keep this or not to keep this.
16:10 I have seen a trend that
16:13 there are many strange names.
16:16 Many times, it is not clear to understand the names.
16:20 You have been teaching for many years
16:23 and you have read many books
16:27 and you have thought about many names,
16:31 and tried to understand them.
16:34 But even after a long time,
16:36 there are some names that you have never heard of.
16:39 You have never read them.
16:41 And even if you try to understand the meaning,
16:44 you will not find the word in the dictionary.
16:47 So, I don't understand where they find such names.
16:51 And many times, it is found that
16:54 this name was of an actor or actress in a movie.
17:00 And I don't know where they got the name from.
17:03 But they want to keep the name of their children
17:07 and many times, the names are in fashion.
17:13 Let me tell you the principle.
17:15 First of all, the child has the right to have a good name.
17:20 And when I talk about a good name,
17:22 I mean a name with good meaning.
17:25 Because the name has an effect on the child's personality.
17:30 This is very important.
17:32 The name has an effect on the personality.
17:37 The Prophet (PBUH) changed the names of many people.
17:43 Many people's names were read in the age of ignorance.
17:47 Because they were born in the age of ignorance.
17:51 So, their names had bad meanings.
17:53 The Prophet (PBUH) changed their names himself
17:57 so that you don't keep this name, but this one.
18:00 People should call you by this name.
18:03 So, it is very important to keep a good name.
18:07 Which are the good names?
18:11 The ones that have humility.
18:13 The Prophet (PBUH) said that
18:15 the best names of Allah are Abdullah and Abdul Rahman.
18:20 Now, see, both names have 'Abdiyat'
18:24 that is the servant of Allah, the servant of Rahman.
18:28 And the scholars have written that
18:31 if you add 'Abd' with any of the attributes of Allah,
18:36 then it is a good name that Allah likes.
18:39 'Abdul Razzaq', 'Abdul Jabbar' or whatever.
18:45 So, this is a good name.
18:47 It has humility and it will have an effect.
18:51 It will have an effect on the child's personality.
18:54 The child will have humility and goodness.
18:57 Similarly, the names of the daughters should be chosen
19:02 that have a good meaning.
19:04 Or the names of the companions (PBUH)
19:09 can be named after them.
19:11 The names of the Prophets (PBUH) can be named after them.
19:14 Jesus can be named after them.
19:16 Moses can be named after them.
19:17 Haroon can be named after them.
19:18 Ishaq can be named after them.
19:20 Ismail can be named after them.
19:21 Ibrahim can be named after them.
19:22 The intention is that they are the pious people of Allah.
19:25 They are the pious people of Allah.
19:27 So, I will name my child after them.
19:31 O Allah, make him pious.
19:33 The real thing is piety.
19:35 At the end of the day, it is all about piety.
19:39 That my child is pious.
19:41 That goodness prevails in him.
19:44 This is the meaning of piety.
19:46 That goodness prevails in him.
19:47 And that goodness is as defined by Allah and His Prophet (PBUH).
19:54 Just like Allah and His Prophet (PBUH) have told us about goodness.
19:59 That is goodness.
20:00 Drinking alcohol is a sin.
20:03 Not drinking alcohol is a good thing.
20:06 Playing gambling is a bad thing.
20:09 Not playing gambling is a good thing.
20:11 Taking interest is a bad thing.
20:13 Not taking interest is a good thing.
20:15 How do we know?
20:16 Allah and His Prophet (PBUH) have told us.
20:19 That it is good for a woman to cover her face.
20:24 Not covering her face is a bad thing.
20:26 Right?
20:27 It is good to offer Salat.
20:29 Not offering Salat is a bad thing.
20:31 You can take any example.
20:33 But, this is the reality.
20:37 What Allah and His Prophet (PBUH) have said is good.
20:41 What they have forbidden is a bad thing.
20:45 So, goodness is in the child so that Allah is pleased.
20:49 We should always keep our Akhirat in front of us.
20:52 This world is very small.
20:54 One day of Qiyamah is equal to 50,000 years.
21:03 How long is the world?
21:04 How long do we live?
21:05 70 years? 80 years?
21:07 A lot. Some live up to 90 years.
21:09 Allah said that the age of my Ummah is between 60 and 70.
21:15 The average age is between 60 and 70.
21:19 If you take the upper limit of 70 years,
21:23 70 years versus one day which is equal to 50,000 years,
21:29 the world is only 0.14%.
21:32 0.14%.
21:35 0.14%.
21:39 This whole life is made in the meaning of one day of Qiyamah.
21:43 That is why it is mentioned in the Quran that people will stand on the day of Qiyamah.
21:47 They will say,
21:49 "We have only been in this world for one day or one evening."
21:57 They will think that the life of this world was only a moment.
22:02 It was only one day, one morning, one evening.
22:07 Such a small life.
22:09 Everything is relative.
22:11 When they relate one day of Qiyamah to the whole life of this world,
22:16 then it will be nothing.
22:18 The life of this world.
22:20 And when the decision will be made after that,
22:23 "Khalideena feeha abadan"
22:25 Then it will be an eternal life.
22:28 Infinite versus 60, 70, nothing.
22:32 Almost zero.
22:34 So we should think about the hereafter.
22:36 That I should be good and my children should be good.
22:40 You see in the Quran,
22:42 the Prophets asked for good children.
22:46 "O Allah, grant me good children."
22:50 They prayed for their children.
22:52 "O Allah, let goodness come into them."
22:55 So we should think about the goodness of our children.
22:59 And goodness has many things.
23:02 But the most important thing to start with is to name them well.
23:07 That we should name them in a way that it has a good effect.
23:14 That goodness comes in them, as I said,
23:18 that it has a good meaning.
23:20 Or in the name of the companions,
23:22 in the name of the prophets,
23:23 in the name of the companions.
23:25 Please, do this experimentation.
23:28 That it is a strange name,
23:30 which has no meaning.
23:31 Just because it is "in" or I want to be different.
23:34 I want to be different from the others.
23:37 You want to be different?
23:38 Okay, there is no problem with that.
23:40 But as long as it has a good meaning in reality,
23:45 I want to see goodness in my children.
23:48 I want to see goodness.
23:50 As opposed to just coming in a fashion
23:53 and naming them out of the blue
23:56 and thinking that we have done a good thing.
23:59 It is not a good thing at all.
24:00 Please, sorry,
24:01 a long answer to a small question.
24:03 But it is a very important question
24:05 that people keep asking about the names of their children.
24:09 Another question people ask is
24:13 that you should do Istikhara for us.
24:16 Look, first of all, understand the meaning of Istikhara.
24:19 Istikhara is to ask for goodness from Allah.
24:22 We do not know many things.
24:25 That I should do this or that.
24:27 This is good or that is good.
24:29 So Istikhara, first of all,
24:32 is done to choose something.
24:35 Number one.
24:37 And everyone can do Istikhara from Allah.
24:44 There is no condition in it.
24:47 It is just a condition to be a Muslim.
24:50 The Prophet of Allah used to teach Istikhara to the companions.
24:54 In fact, the companion says, may Allah be pleased with him,
24:58 that he used to teach Istikhara in a way
25:01 that was similar to the way he taught the Quran.
25:04 So, first of all, we should do Istikhara.
25:06 And second, we should do Istikhara ourselves.
25:08 Why are we making someone do it?
25:10 You are good, that is why you do it.
25:12 Baba, you are also a servant of Allah.
25:15 Allah loves all His servants.
25:19 You should also make a relationship with Allah.
25:22 Why are we making someone else do Istikhara?
25:25 Allah likes it when His servant comes to me.
25:29 He should ask me, he should ask me.
25:31 So, it is a matter of pleasing Allah
25:34 that we are asking Allah,
25:36 that O Allah, these two things are in front of me.
25:38 I do not know
25:40 what is good and what is bad.
25:44 You know it.
25:45 You have the power.
25:46 I do not have the power.
25:48 O Allah, choose for me.
25:51 If this is good, then choose for me.
25:53 Keep blessings for me.
25:55 If this is good for the world and the hereafter,
25:57 and if it is bad, then remove it from me.
26:00 And whatever is good, O Allah,
26:02 choose for me.
26:03 Make me pleased with it.
26:05 Istikhara is such a beautiful prayer.
26:08 But people should do it themselves.
26:10 The only way is to read two rak'ahs.
26:12 And read the prayer of Istikhara.
26:17 And then see where the heart is inclined.
26:23 Where the heart goes.
26:26 If you cannot understand,
26:28 then do it a second time, a third time,
26:30 a sixth or seventh time.
26:32 InshaAllah, until the heart is satisfied,
26:34 keep doing it.
26:35 And then Allah will make a way for it,
26:38 for the goodness for which we have asked.
26:40 So Allah, keep you all happy.
26:42 We should all make a connection with Allah.
26:45 It is okay to be in the company of good people.
26:47 It is a big concept in our religion.
26:49 But everyone should make a connection with Allah.
26:51 May Allah give us all understanding of religion.
26:54 InshaAllah, next week we will meet again.
26:56 Remember us in your prayers.
