00:00 So as ever there is loads on in the City of Bristol this week, including a visit from
00:05 a very exciting Western musical. So tell me what is our first What's On in the City this
00:10 week?
00:12 So first of all is that this year's Bristol Harbour Fest has announced it is going to
00:17 be featuring dragon boat racing, steamboat processions and a very special flotilla to
00:26 close the show. So the organisers have this week announced a new addition alongside the
00:33 returning favourites such as the cardboard boat race for the event on Bristol's harbour
00:41 later this summer. The festival is also introducing a new stage called the Bristol Rising Stage
00:50 that will showcase new and emerging local talent. As well as this they are bringing
00:57 back the dance tent to Queen Square that they say will feature performances spanning various
01:06 dance genres and types.
01:08 Brilliant, so shall we move on to our second What's On in the City this week? Tell me about
01:15 that.
01:17 Next is that IKEA in Bristol have announced that they will be hosting a weekend of free
01:24 family fun to mark the 25th anniversary of their store in Bristol. Would you believe
01:31 it's been that long? They are going to be holding the celebration in the outdoor car
01:37 park of its shop in Eastville next to the M32 across a weekend in June. The event will
01:47 include a variety of fun filled activities such as a children's carousel, candy floss,
01:54 classic funfair games, arts and crafts and more.
