00:00Hello, I'm Sam Morton and here is your daily Sussex News bulletin on Friday, June 7th.
00:05A fierce house fire broke out in a West Sussex village last night. West Sussex Fire and Rescue
00:10Service reported at 9.30pm on Thursday that crews were at the scene of a fire involving a property
00:15on Pound Lane in Upper Beading. Crews from Shoreham, Henfield, Stenning and East Sussex
00:20were in attendance. People asked to avoid the area whilst the incident was ongoing to allow
00:25crews to work safely. The fire service said that at the height of the incident, five fire engines
00:31and an aerial ladder platform were at the scene. Upon arrival, crews were confronted with a fire
00:36in the first floor bedroom that had spread to the roof space. Fortunately, there were no injuries
00:40and all people were accounted for. Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire was of
00:45accidental ignition but a full fire investigation will be carried out to establish the cause.
00:49Meanwhile, two 12-year-old boys have been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent
00:53to endanger life after a fire in West Sussex. Emergency services were called to report the fire
00:59at a derelict building in Alma Street in Lansing at 6.45pm on Tuesday.
01:04The two boys arrested have since been released on bail pending further inquiries, police said.
01:09The fire at the former Gosher's Laundry was extinguished after six fire engines with an
01:14aerial ladder platform arrived at the scene. Finally, a new Hastings Gin Distillery has seen
01:19an incredible demand for its product, with local pubs, bars and restaurants eager to take it and
01:24often selling out. Copper Pot Distilleries was created by a science teacher who was inspired
01:29after going on a gin tour. The distillery produces a small batch of Artisan London Dry Gin called
01:34Moonshine. It comes in a 37% ABV and is presented in a beautiful bottle with the label stating that
01:41it is handcrafted in St Leonard's. It is made of traditional copper steel called bale, in keeping
01:46with the tradition on gin makers giving names to their steels. Taste profile is heavy in juniper
01:52with a citrus twist which is down to added orange and lemon. For all those stories and
