00:00 I think all we're really missing now is the hype man Alex Averhontes. Here's a
00:04 look at the Jazzwares vault exclusive AEW Death Triangle.
00:10 Form a triple threat with the Death Triangle vault exclusive. This deluxe
00:37 three-figure set features the AEW World Trios champions Pac Ray Phoenix and
00:41 Penta El Zero Miyato. Each highly poseable six-inch action figure includes 25
00:45 points for articulation and is inspired by Death Triangle's first championship
00:49 victor on AEW Dynamite September 7, 2022. They all enter the ring with their
00:53 World Trios champion belts and come equipped with a pair of alternate hands.
00:56 AEW vault exclusive figures are highly poseable and use advanced scanning
01:01 technology to capture realistic details from each of the wrestlers. The Death
01:04 Triangle vault exclusive is only available for a limited time and
01:07 exclusive to Jazzwares vault. If you have zero fear about adding Death Triangle to
01:12 your current Jazzwares AEW figure collection then this set though is a
01:16 Jazzwares vault exclusive. It's over on their site. I'll provide the links down
01:19 below in the video description. It's going currently for $80 but it's limited
01:23 to only 3,000 copies worldwide. I'd like if I can to thank the folks over at
01:27 Jazzwares that did provide the sample we could have a look at. Yeah each one of
01:30 the figures by the way is gonna be a roughly about the same size whether it
01:33 be Rey Fenix, whether it be Penta or my favorite Poc. So what I'll do is only
01:36 just measure one of them. Let's just grab the one in the middle here Penta. He
01:40 actually stands at about six and a half inches in height. For Death Triangle each
01:44 of the individual figures are about 16 centimeters tall. Now entering the ring
01:49 and this review is the other vault exclusive figure that Jazzwares has
01:52 currently on their site. Not though from AEW but here's what Death Triangle looks
01:55 like with the Ring of Honor exclusive Dan Howzen. Even if Death Triangle right
01:59 now aren't the current bearers of the World Trios championship that title
02:02 right now goes to the Bang Bang Gang. Each one of the figures actually come
02:05 include the AEW World Trios championship straps. Doesn't matter though if you
02:09 grab the one from Poc or you grab the one for Penta or even Fenix they're all
02:13 identical to one another. They're nicely molded here as you can see they're on
02:16 the front main plates. You've got AEW World Championship Trios. On the side
02:21 you've got slightly smaller plates but they're just as painted nicely as the
02:24 front of the belt. The belts themselves as you can see on the back is all the way
02:28 that the plates have been slotted down to the back of the more rubbery plastic.
02:31 Unfortunately though some of the straps like you can see right now I don't
02:36 remember which one this actually belongs to but some of them actually
02:39 unfortunately have slightly bent pegs. If you had the plan for example to take the
02:43 strap and wrap it around the waist normally though you would just take
02:46 these pegs and feed them into the provided holes but with this with the
02:48 pegs being so bent like this it's next to impossible to get these closed. It
02:53 doesn't really matter for me at least because I'm gonna just only ultimately
02:55 strap this over their shoulders anyways. That's usually how I end up displaying
02:59 the figures. There are a few of them unfortunately though like this one here
03:02 where the front plate seems to keep frequently falling off the back of the
03:07 plastic so I'm gonna see if I can have to fix that. So while all three of them
03:10 do come include the AEW World Trios Championships, Poc actually gets one
03:14 additional title. Now back then when he would have won this this was the AEW All
03:19 Atlantic Championship which was then later changed the International
03:22 Championship. I think International works a little bit better. The plates are a
03:26 little bit more squared off versus say for example the Trios which would be
03:29 much rounder. Much blockier looking plates also on the side. Very difficult
03:33 to actually fit this around the waist. Again like if you're looking at the pegs
03:37 boy those pegs are really warped. I'm sure there's probably a way I can go in
03:41 there and heat these up just a little bit to bend them across just so that
03:43 they actually can fit into the holes. Let me just see if I can do this right now. I
03:47 can get a couple of them in but man it's becoming very difficult to get these
03:51 actually closed. Again I'll just probably likely have them over the shoulders
03:54 anyways. Right now though he isn't even the bearer of the International
03:58 Championship. That right now is Will Osprey. One of my favorite wrestlers in
04:01 wrestling as a whole. Let's just move those off to the side. The
04:06 figures also come included with interchangeable hands. Each one of the
04:08 figures for example that depending on how you start out of the packaging they
04:12 either have closed fists or they sort of have gripping hands or in the case of
04:15 Rey Fenix he has gestured hands as well. So Puck for example gets himself
04:19 closed fists. Really much different. I mean there's no tattoos or anything on
04:24 that unlike Rey Fenix and Penta which would have tattoos on them. Penta's
04:28 hands are pretty much straightforward plastic. These can just pop off from the
04:31 existing forms that he has right now. He has gripping hands so really if you
04:34 wanted to you could also have the figures holding the straps. Say for
04:37 example if you want to just have them displayed this way you can also do that
04:40 as well. We'll go back to Puck. Puck's my favorite really of the set. Like I said
04:45 Penta also does come included with his versions of his hands. One gripping hand
04:49 one closed fisted hand. You can see some additional printing on there with the
04:53 additional tattoos. Nice looking hands. Rey Fenix also has something very
04:57 similar. He has again gripping hands if I can actually hold on to these. Gripping
05:01 hands to also hold again the trio's championships or what I've already done.
05:05 One of the hands actually already had this gesture. I just simply popped off
05:09 the other hand. It's just a case of obviously unpegging these from the post
05:12 there. There we go like that. But I actually like to have Rey Fenix really
05:16 displayed kind of where the way he actually poses when he comes out from
05:19 the ring. A little harder to kind of pull off just because his head's kind of in
05:22 the way. But he usually does sort of this self high-five maybe inspirational cue
05:26 from DDP. I like to display the figure with that though. But again it's just a
05:30 case of popping off the hands from the forearms. Maybe what actually you know
05:33 what while we're in while we actually have Rey Fenix in his hands in my hands
05:37 let's actually look at the figure first. Rey Fenix I'm glad to see he's actually
05:40 back at the time of doing this review. Rey Fenix was off for a while with an
05:43 injury now he's been brought back and now Death Triangle has reformed. So it's
05:46 kind of really fitting that we're now looking at this vault exclusive of Death
05:50 Triangle now that actually Death Triangle are actually now back on TV.
05:53 From the sculpting of his standpoint for the sculpt of his head sculpt I think
05:59 they've done a really nice job. Now obviously the costumes change throughout
06:02 the course of I mean it's really hard to kind of get a current roster going
06:05 because their outfits are always changing. Rey Fenix I'm sure has
06:08 something very similar to this of a ring outfit. Obviously for the way they've
06:12 painted the head sculpts. Not only can you see his eyes and his mouth really
06:15 nicely but you can also see as well they've added some really nice pattern
06:18 work all across the front of his mask. As it being a luchador mask it's always
06:22 again unheard of that the mask will ever come off. Every once in a while especially
06:27 like Rey Mysterio for example back in the WCW days would have had in fact a
06:31 hair versus mask match. In fact he lost his mask but usually it's just unheard
06:35 of for a luchador to ever lose his mask. But again you got some nice additional
06:38 gold there added on the bottom. I'm sure we've gotten ourselves countless Rey
06:42 Fenixes but this just happens to be the one that we get here from the Death
06:44 Triangle release. He's got some nice tattoos there all across his body as
06:47 well. Going back and looking at the original source material I think the
06:50 tattoos are fairly accurate. So the fact that they would then go in and match
06:53 everything to the way he appears on TV. I mean really nice looking tattoos overall.
06:57 Down below on his trunks some nice additional silver added in there as
07:01 well. Of course you got some larger looking boots down below there as well.
07:04 The thing unfortunately though about Rey Fenix is that his ankle
07:08 articulation that we'll kind of talk more about in a moment because the way
07:11 they've actually sculpted the boots I had to kind of really fight them and
07:15 then I realized when I got this guy the packaging that his ankle was kind of
07:19 turned like this. So I was really trying to force it. I couldn't figure out why and
07:23 then I realized when he came out of the packaging his ankle was facing the
07:26 opposite way. So I had to make sure I just turned that around before I really put a
07:29 lot of pressure against that. For the figures articulation now all the three
07:33 figures of Death Triangle are gonna have pretty much the same levels of
07:35 articulation. So like Rey Fenix for example is gonna have a head rotates all
07:38 the way around with the ball joint. It looks up pretty high actually and looks
07:42 down. You can also yeah here's the thing I've also noticed here with Dan when we
07:45 looked at Dan Housen now kind of carrying it over to Death Triangle all
07:49 kind of figures have very limited articulation when it comes to moving
07:52 their heads back and forth. Sure yes they can move them up and move them down but
07:55 try to rock the heads back and forth becomes next to impossible. As for the
07:59 arms though they rotate all the way around. You can bring the arms out at 90
08:02 degrees even further from 90 degrees actually. The figure has a swivel in his
08:06 bicep, double hinge on his elbow and the hands do rotate all the way around.
08:09 Rey Fenix also has an upper torso ball joint, a lower torso abdomen joint. The
08:15 figure also has ball joints even though they haven't unfortunately painted them.
08:18 This would be probably part of a Rey Fenix that he wouldn't want you to see
08:21 and probably you would not likely be looking at all the time when it comes to
08:24 the figure. But he does have flesh colored ball joints on the insides of
08:28 his thighs. I mean obviously you're really never gonna be looking at the
08:31 figure like this anyways but it's just more for me to point out the fact that
08:34 the figure has some decent levels of posability. Legs go forward, legs go back.
08:38 There's a swivel at the top of the thigh or swivel right here but then
08:41 additionally to that he also has three quarters of the way up the thigh a
08:44 swivel cut so he could rotate here but he can also rotate here as well. Double
08:49 hinge on the knee and again articulation here for the ankle over nice rock back
08:53 and forth there as well. The only other thing I would also say too when it comes
08:56 to Jazzwear's AEW figures and I've started to notice this is that even
09:00 though they do have pegs on the bottoms of their feet boom and boom the pegs
09:04 are actually larger than regular display stands. So I tried to use
09:08 like for example the display stand from McFarlane toys in the hopes that they
09:11 would be using the same universally sized pegs and it wasn't the case. They
09:15 actually are using slightly larger holes which means that if you wanted to put
09:19 these guys in creative looking poses if the off chance that down the road maybe
09:22 Jazzwear's releases display stands you could do that. Right now they're not
09:26 gonna be able to work with just regular display stands that you get from other
09:29 figure companies. So there's Rey Fenix. We're gonna move down the line here now
09:33 look at Penta. Penta is a nice-looking figure and again like with his ring
09:37 outfit always changing it's kind of hard to really get like a definitive version
09:40 of Penta but I think they've landed one really nicely here. Now his actual
09:44 luchador mask is a little bit more different in the sense that he has now
09:47 drapes there on the sides. The head sculpt is nicely painted. He paints
09:51 though not only his eye area but he also paints his lower mouth as well. I think
09:55 they've done a nice job on that. To again capture all the details that you would
09:58 see in the actual ring outfit and just shrink that down in size I think all the
10:03 boxes for the most part they've checked off here. He's got the tattoos obviously
10:06 there on the arms. The only thing I would say though from looking at Penta is that
10:10 the coloring on his skin seems like a little yellowish. I wouldn't be able to
10:14 say like 100% that that's the accurate skin color the way he actually is in this
10:18 in the show but I feel like maybe his skin coloring is a little too jaundice
10:22 little too yellowish. Again like the tattoos are nicely printed there on his
10:26 arms down below here on his forearms. Now with his hands again like with his hands
10:30 you can actually pop these off. The only thing unfortunately he loses though is
10:33 now he doesn't have a glove so if you were to say pop that off and then
10:36 replace it with this hand he now would have basically taped off hands as
10:40 opposed to a full glove. That's the only thing that's a little bit different when
10:43 it comes to Penta. He also has of course the symbol of Zero Mierda. Of course he
10:48 can have the figure display that way. Likely though I'm probably gonna be
10:51 having this guy on the shelf as you're currently seeing right now. Very cool the
10:54 fact they'd have that with the additional hands that they include with
10:57 the figure. Again when he has for the rest of his body he has this skirting
11:02 piece. This is softer plastic and basically what it is is over top of a
11:06 regular AEW figure body. I'm always finding myself having to kind of move
11:10 this back down because whenever I go to start to move Penta's body for example I
11:15 always find myself shifting this up accidentally so I always have to kind of
11:19 pull it back down. Again his articulation is gonna be the exact same though as Ray
11:22 Phoenix but not really worth I'm sure to go through it again but again like
11:25 really nice additional printing that they've got here. Some of the printing
11:29 unfortunately doesn't line up though. I mean depending on how you
11:32 really twist the legs as you start to twist the legs you'll see that there's a
11:35 little dragon motif that he's got on the side. You know obviously it doesn't
11:39 stay kind of in line with one another but overall again nice-looking figure on
11:42 Penta. My favorite though of the three figures is Poc. I'm so glad that
11:47 Poc first of all has come back to AEW. Again I think he's had an injury for a
11:51 while and he really has been overseas for a while as well. Now he's got right
11:55 now I think a feud with... is it the Bang Bang Gang? I think he's got a feud
11:58 right now with Jay White more specifically. So again I'm really looking
12:01 forward to seeing what the two of them are gonna do in the ring. From a head
12:04 sculpt standpoint Poc's a really messy looking guy so he's always got like hair
12:07 kind of draping in front of his face and I think they've done a pretty decent
12:10 enough job on that except for this area right here. You can see that he has a
12:14 beard for the most part. Poc's always really notorious too that he never has a
12:18 fully sculpted or fully grown in beard. It always sort of seems to grow in
12:22 patches but then if you look at this side here of his face I think it's
12:26 nicely painted here but unfortunately though because it's gotten so close to
12:29 the drapery of hair that he has on this side there's one little area and I can't
12:33 stop looking at it right here that I think could have used a little bit of
12:37 additional brown. I'm sure they probably did that deliberately so it would look
12:39 then separate from the rest of his hair but by leaving this section right here
12:43 flesh colored like this it does obviously look like a little bit of
12:46 paint's been left off. Head sculpt though for Poc looks good. Now he doesn't have
12:50 as much of a complicated ring outfit as say Rey, Fenix or Penta. Simple looking
12:54 trunks kind of more of like a dark gray on the sides and he's got kind of the
12:58 from the front of it kind of looks like Val Venis's ring trunks. Some decent
13:03 sculpting down below there also on his boots and his boot guards and again just
13:06 a nice looking figure. Really really happy with how this went. Of the three
13:09 definitely Poc is my favorite. Again the articulation on this guy is gonna be
13:13 exactly the same so it's probably no sense to going through that. The only
13:15 thing I would say though about Poc's articulation is because he again has the
13:19 hair that comes down on one side it becomes a little bit more difficult to
13:22 try to rotate the head around and becomes especially more difficult to
13:25 bring his head down just because that's in the way of things but again like all
13:29 the articulation is gonna be pretty much the exact same as both the other two
13:32 Lucha brothers that we've already had a look at but definitely by far Poc is my
13:35 favorite. It's a nice looking set overall. Now again like this is very limited over
13:39 on the Jazz Wars vault site as it is right now it's limited to only 3,000
13:44 copies. I think when we in fact looked at Danhaus in which we can bring back in
13:48 Danhaus just because again that was the only other Jazz Wars vault figure we've
13:51 looked at so far. He was I think limited to 5,000 and now Death Triangle being
13:56 limited to a lot less than that with 3,000 there's a good likelihood that
13:59 this set's gonna sell out fast if you are a big fan for example. Let's just get
14:03 these titles out of the way. If you're a big fan though of Death Triangle like I'm
14:06 a big fan of Death Triangle it's definitely a set I would recommend
14:08 picking up. Quite a nice trio set of trios champions if so a little outdated.
14:12 Death Triangle right now don't have the strats but with Jay Wydari picking a
14:16 fight with Poc I'm sure it won't be long before the Lucha Brothers join in on the
14:19 fight we can build back up the rivalry in one corner the Bang Bang Gang and in
14:23 the opposite Death Triangle with the straps on the line. Speaking of straps
14:27 though while the AEW trios championships do look good with Death Triangle the
14:31 quality of some of the belts are in bad shape. Specifically the front metal there
14:36 or the plates on the front of the one that Pent is holding I can't seem to get
14:39 back properly into the strap. It seems to hook in place and yet for reasons
14:44 unknown I can't get ever the plate back in place. I'm gonna see if I can soften
14:48 the plastic up just enough that maybe I stretch it I can get the front plate
14:52 wedged back in there. I hate to really glue it because I I wouldn't want to
14:56 damage the plate and obviously you want to make these things flexible so they
14:58 can fit around their waist. Speaking of also fitting around their waist some of
15:01 the pegs unfortunately on the ends of the belt are a little warped you probably
15:04 can already see it there on Pentas. I probably have to heat that up also so it
15:08 can attach properly to the loops on the other sides. Not only do they all come
15:12 included with the AEW trios championships but POC does also one
15:15 better by also including the international title. Does he have the
15:18 title right now? No that goes with Osprey but I always happy to win a figure
15:23 company includes things like extra belts. It goes a long way especially if you're
15:26 planning if you ever won that likes to play with your wrestling figures not
15:29 that I admit to playing with my wrestling figures but if you ever do
15:32 it's always nice to have belts on the line. Now this set though of Death
15:36 Triangle of course consisting of POC, Rey, Phoenix and Penta Alzero Merdo are all
15:41 available right now as a set on the Jazwares vaults site. It's a limited
15:46 site it's a limited set of only 3,000 pieces and it's currently going right
15:49 now for $80. At the time of doing this video the set is still available but the
15:54 long time plans of that still being in stock it's hard to really say. I mean with
15:58 anyone being interested in Death Triangle and the fact that these are
16:01 also exclusives one of the most loyal fans out there of collecting figures are
16:05 wrestling fans. They're the ones that get any exclusives they can get their hands
16:08 on. The likelihood though of this set sticking around is probably quite slim
16:11 especially with the limited number that they're being released by. If you're
16:14 interested like I said these are exclusives only to Jazwares vault. I'll
16:18 put the link down below in the video description if you want to get this one
16:21 for yourself. Big thank you once again to the folks over at Jazwares that did
16:24 provide the sample of the AEW Death Triangle Jazwares vault exclusive. We
16:29 could have a chance to have a look in this review. Let me know what you guys
16:31 think of the set down below in the comment section and also if you're
16:33 collecting to Jazwares AEW figure line. If you guys also enjoyed this video,
16:38 why not throw it a like. If you guys are loving the content you guys are seeing and you'd
